  1. Martin was decent today and certainly no worse than any of our other defenders. Interesting that Seb mentioned he was a good leader and communicator and that they''d forged a good understanding together. I think I''ll trust the opinion of the guy that works with him every day rather than the experts on here who watch on the radio.
  2. Oh and maybe a few should get their facts right. I am no more a troll than any of you lot and am far from a happy clapper. I was massively unhappy about the Chris Hughton era and was very vocal about it on both here and Twitter. Far from a happy clapper. My biggest issue is the focusing of blame and a scapegoat figure on Russell Martin. Yes he makes errors but so do other members of the side. You may not like him as a footballer but he''s been a massive part of Norwich City history for the last 6 years. He deserves more respect than fans writing up catalogues of his errors match-by-match. Why can''t people just give him a bit of support ffs? The mind boggles at such negativity by some. We''re 11th in a very tough league and playing, at times, some beautiful stuff. I''m loving it. Cheer up a bit! I know that whatever I type will be twisted and ignored by some and abuse thrown at me. I''m cool with that. This will be my last post on the subject. And, FAO Mrs Miggins, my comment about your emotional state was very much tongue in cheek and me trying to wind you up a bit, which was poor on my part. I apologise, I''m sure you''re a decent chap. I''ve had the pleasure of chatting to Russell on a few occasions and he''s a thoroughly decent chap. I just wonder if some of the criticism would be so full on if a few of you had managed to do the same.
  3. So because we kept a clean sheet, this was down to RM being out of the side? So were Ruddy, Whittaker and Brady. So an entirely new defence in essence. Yet again though, distorting the facts and completely ignoring other factors to suit an anti Russell Martin agenda.
  4. Mrs Miggins must lead a very sad life to always look on the negative side of things. Who knows, maybe the constant criticism targeted on Russell Martin fills an emotional void you may have. Personally I''m delighted with the start we''ve made and am enjoying it throughly. I don''t need to continually target certain players. Every single player we have is capable of a mistake and I will support them wholeheartedly whenever they pull on a Norwich City shirt. Unfortunately we''ve adopted a load of miserable sorts who instead of celebrating a decent draw at one of the biggest clubs in the country are targeting all their negative vibes onto a player who actually did really well on Sunday, certainly no worse than any other player for us. Sad really
  5. Claiming we''re foregoing a potential place in Europe because Russell Martin is in the side. Desperate stuff from the scapegoat brigade
  6. Let''s get some facts out there. Those that have decided Russ is not "good enough" have resorted to watching the match and looking for every single error. And, at the same time failing to acknowledge all the good parts of his game. AND not mentioning the errors of the rest of our defence. Brady is out of position? Nope, missed that. Bassong gives it away? Sorry must have missed that. To watch a game of football and keep a catalogue of someone''s mistakes to prove your point and stick to your agenda is the action of a pretty sad individual. I can only assume that when Martin scores, his biggest detractors don''t celebrate? No, thought not. Whatever you think of him, Martin has achieved a lot at the club, has been through many ups and downs and been one of the most committed and passionate players I can remember for a long time. So, if you don''t rate him, keep it nice at least. It''s the least amount of respect he deserves. Neil. Adams. Both Hughton and Lambert when needed. His international manager. A lot of qualified football coaches seem to rate him, maybe a few more of us should do too.
  7. The docks area is brilliant. I visited The Beatles story and had a trip on the Mersey Ferry. There was loads to do there but I just ran out of time. Another trip in the future perhaps.
  8. He''s not a Premier League manager. Newcastle knew it and unfortunately eventually we did. If they go up, his fear of the division and caution ways will see them be strong relegation candidates.
  9. I kept thinking your picture was Obi Wan Kenobi, until I released it was Jeremy Corbyn
  10. How about a bit of belief and faith before the game, instead of running down our players. Alex Neil thinks we can go to Anfield and get a result and so do I.
  11. I''m not the only one to be agressive with you Lake District Canary. Not a coincidence surely. I was actually genuinely interested to see whether you were going as its one of the closest to you. I''m travelling up on Saturday, it''s a 5 hour journey for me.
  12. Whittaker to score anytime is my Norwich bet. Walsall to beat Crewe at home (2nd vs bottom) in League One is my match bet. Good luck.
  13. You must have missed my mainly football related ones then. Asking someone if they''re going to a football match is not "trolling".
  14. It was a question related to the Liverpool game. Fact. You''re often seen changing the subjects in threads. Fact. I later have an answer to your question. Fact.
  15. Let''s be honest LDC only comes here to get a bit of attention and question other fans'' support (of which most spend plenty more time and money following the club). Got very defensive when I asked whether he''s going or not.
  16. My comment was very much connected to the thread. I''m travelling up by myself for the weekend, I think we''ve got our best chance of winning at Anfield for many years.
  17. Do you often go about in your general day-to-day life calling people c unts? What a pleasant chap you are.
  18. Ah, your daily bashing of Russell Marti. Zzzzz zzzzzz
  19. I watched Wes Hoolahan''s performance with a box of tissues.
  20. Pompey to beat Barnet at home. Norwich bet, Jerome to score anytime. Good luck.
  21. Unless the same defence plays in these phantom 100 games there''s no other way of knowing and breaking down into stats whether RM is better at right back or centre back. Although, this has been explained several times on this thread, and let''s be honest you''re bending the stats to meet your agenda. Maybe you''re just too dim to realise this.
  22. Don''t you lot get fed up constantly criticising Russ? Seriously, you need to get out more. Get laid or something.
