  1. I hope you enjoy your reward morty. Having a price freeze is not the reward the club have dressed it up to be.
  2. How much do you genuinely believe it costs the club to produce a single shirt with a name on it? I''d be surprised if it was more than a fiver. I personally think £25 is a good price and £35 with any name and number... Just because global teams like Man United and Chelsea charge a fortune, doesn''t mean smaller teams like little ol'' Norwich should too...
  3. It''s not necessarily about any discount, I just found the whole ''dressed up'' price freeze quite patronising. Price are frozen. The stadium is 80 years old... Why pair the two up and claim it as a reward to the loyal supporters... It doesn''t even make sense.
  4. How often do you buy the NCFC home shirt? As a younger fan I used to love the idea of getting a new one for each season... But as i have got a older I don''t really see the point... Each home shirt is yellow and green and in recent years they''ve all had Aviva splashed over the middle. Yes the shape of the neck might change and the yellow and green may differ in pattern and position slightly... I just don''t think it''s worth the £40 to £45 quid it would cost, especially if you customised it with a name as well... I looked at the beginning of the season, jokingly, at getting Van Wolkswinkel on my back with his new number which I think was 27, this was obviously pre-St Etienne... Anyway, I was quoted £62 - which to support a championship level team is ridiculous... I think as a club, NCFC are too greedy AND don''t reward there loyal fans in anyway, shape or form.
  5. I, like many of you, were at the game on Saturday. It was announced that, as NCFC were celebrating 80 years at Carrow Road, the fans would be rewarded with a price freeze on Season Tickets for the 2015/16 season... Oooo Goody! A price freeze! All because our team hasn''t moved grounds for 80 odd years? Heaven forbid that us fans would be rewarded for paying out our hard-earned money to watch some of the most uninspiring football this club has seen for many years (Pre Alex Neil).... Don''t get me wrong, I am more optimistic since Alex Neil''s arrival and who knows we may be in the league above next year, I just feel the way the ''price freeze'' has been marketed as a ''reward'' for the fans is really insulting... We as a collective have sat through two years of negative performance after negative performance with Hughton and Adams in charge, and personally, I feel, however ridiculously unlikely, a slight discount would have been more appreciated. It''s no different to offering refunds to away fans when your team just don''t turn up or show any passion.
  6. I want some of what ever that guy is on! More than 4 million for Olsson is laughable!
  7. I''ve always found that most Norwich City fans are negative pessimists. Our new manager has won his first two games. He has a 100% win rate. Why bring up negativity in the light of the positive he and his team are trying to show on the pitch? GET ON BOARD!
  8. I second that ''Not bothered''... What did he actually change about our game... Before, during and after his tenure at NCFC, the defense was and is still shaky and there are still massive holes in our midfield. Our improved form, for me, was coincidental with Phelan coming in. Players like Hooper returning from injury and playing well is what has improved our performances of late. It was nice to have an ''experienced'' name on board but from a spectator point of view, I didn''t notice any remarkable changes to what I was seeing.
  9. If we hadn''t signed Jerome, Grabban would be playing more and scoring more (than he has) and we wouldn''t be having stupid discussions like this one, on here. Lewis Grabban is a good championship striker, he is a pacey, reasonably strong, goal scorer! He got 20+ goals last season for Bournemouth. If we had 3 million pounds to spend on a striker now, we''d still go for Grabban. He''s just unfortunate that he''s got two decent strikers ahead of him. I say two, as Lafferty is a different type of player, and an agree one at that.
  10. 4 million for Olsson is silly money in January.
  11. Murphy is a talented young player... He is inexperienced, raw and immature... He needs time, both on the pitch and in life to grow up before he is judged as a ''footballer''. He''s barely had a handful of minutes and already been written off by some of the NCFC fans...
  12. Does anyone actually remember how slow, awful and lazy Bassong actually is? He is not the answer, he''s just another over-hyped. relegation specialising, journeyman!
  13. Bite Swansea''s arm off for 4 million quid. I''d take half of that for him any day of the week. Martin Olsson would be a good winger/LM but he can not defend for toffee. Get Toffolo back and lets crack on! I''ve only been a city fan for the last ten or so years and Martin Olsson is not in even in my top 3 left backs in that time. All this talk of him being our stand out player last season is laughable. Norwich City were awful last season - there was no stand-out, they were all dreadful!
  14. All this talk of signing a new left-back if Olsson were to leave is rubbish... We have the most exciting left back, currently in League One already on our books! Toffolo has been getting rave reviews for Swindon and I wouldn''t be surprised to see his name appear in the team of the year come the end of the season.
  15. Martin Olsson is all hype! Poor defender, poor attacker... So what if she''s an international player? Loza is technically an international player... I would happily take 2 million for Olsson. Olsson like Bassong has multiple relegations to his name... Do I need to say anymore???
  16. I know i''m in the minority amongst Canary fans... But I am looking forward to the next three games even more now. For me Johnny Howson does not bring enough to the team to warrant a place in the starting line and for large amounts of the game I find myself wondering is Howson even playing... He''s weak, no a defensive midfielder, not a great attacking creative threat... He''s a bit like Tom Cleverley! He''s just there...
  17. I''m sure some will say that don''t care (about this) but I found this quite an enjoyable little read. Nice Find.
  18. Norwich fans are so expectant... The guy hasn''t even taken the job yet and you''re already demanding he must win from the word go... Promotion to the premier league isn''t all that. Yes, from a business/money point of view YES it''s the mecca every club aims for, but in reality a team like Norwich are bloody boring to watch in the premier league. From an entertainment point of view, i''d rather we didn''t go up anyway... The championship is more fun and we stand more of a chance of winning games, rather than just making up numbers in the PL.
  19. We''re not just homophobic at Carrow Road, we''re sexistic too... What a stupid post!
  20. Using the scum? Beat with a stick? It''s an observation
  21. Fair comments, but is he really any worst than what we''ve been linked with? Only time will tell... I''m pretty sure the job is Phelan''s.
  22. If you look at football, from the point of it being an entertaining game, and not an obsessive need to hate your nearest rivals, then I guess 10p is a bit much for you. But from the neutral footballing point of view, I think it''d be worth a watch. I still think McNally and co would charge £20+, it may have been £10 against a smaller team like Luton (for example), but against a form Premier League team he''d definitely up the price.
  23. Has anyone considered Gary Holt as Manager? More experience than Phelan and Adams... I believe he did alright as manager at Falkirk in Scotland. He''s not been sacked as a manager either, as we poached him to join our coaching team... I wouldn''t be against him being given a go, but then again how would his approach change to Adams, as they were part of the same ''team''.
  24. Somebody I work with is going to watch her team, Southampton take on Ipswich in the replayed FA Cup match. How much do you reckon City would demand from us fans to watch that game (obviously if it were us and not Ipswich)? A game in which two forms teams come face to face in what is expected to be an excellent game of football - i''m half tempted to get a ticket myself at £10 for an adult ticket! I reckon McNally and co would want £25 if we were taking on Southampton in place of ITFC. I know its an evening fixture and the attendance might not be great as Southampton is way down south, but come on, ten-quid! I might even go yet...
  25. What is the evidence that he is not The Secret Footballer? Also, surely if you wants to remain ''Secret'' he''s going to put the odd ''curve-ball'' or ''red herring'' in there, otherwise it would just be an autobiography...
