  1. diane, most of these killjoys have, in the past messaged each other, mostly to diss worthy or an individual player, we will enjoy our triumph girl, and if the miserable lot get you down, come on over to ncfc-fans were everyone is welcome, even ipswich fans!!
  2. As someone who used to live in Beccles, i think i can safely say Lowestoft is a big and passionate Canary fanbase, as is Beccles, and the only time you saw ipswich fans anywhere around that area is when they were promoted a few years ago, now they have crawled back into the woodwork! As for the Darkness, not really my sort of music, but I think a couple of them are Norwich fans!!
  3. actually first wiz i did say it was down to the fans, and it was;DH said it, Delia said it, she did it for us, cos, as she says, we are the best fans in the world, and god will we prove this to the world the reception Hucks got on Boxing Day was like nothing I had ever experienced, god, you might have thought we had already won the league!!! So, our little band were dreamers, but hey, we are football fans and it is part of the remit eh? And what a dream, that became reality, as we all knew it would
  4. we are the reason A1 he came here to play great football, he came here because he loves it, the club, the rest of the staff, the players, the area and US, the FANS he took a pay cut to do it, against the advice of his agent Yes, he came here because he knows we are going to do this, we are going to get promotion and he will be able to prove to all his doubters he can cut it in the best league!! So, we might have all been dreamers, but only until Boxing Day!! We knew we would get him, we deserved him A1, he wanted to come here and if anyone can really, honestly think it wasn''t for the fans, ask yourself, why didn''t he even consider Wigan, where his financial reward would have been higher, or he could have stayed at Man City where again he would have earned more money? No, he came here to live a dream, and yeah, it is a dream, but soon it will be reality. Thanks a million DH, just think we could have had Horsefield or Marlon King!!! No that would have been a nightmare
  5. hiya andy, haven''t spoken to you before, but what a brilliant post, especially your points about the academy and delia, yes, we are the best fans in the world, and i was only saying yesterday (to anyone who would listen!!) that we are so lucky, to have so much to be positive about, especially after years of hurt and betrayal, non achievement, selling our best players etc now, with nige and co we have the opportunity to go forward at last, the Darren Huckerby signing must send out so many signals to our rivals for promotion, not just him, but McKenzie and Svensson too, we are going for it, the new stand, share issues etc. I do not have too much time for certain people who run this club, Doncaster, Munby etc have made the fans feel like bit parts at times, kept us uninformed, been patronising in the extreme, i have had personal run ins with munby and was told by him that to buy huckerby would put the whole future of the club at risk and made to feel a criminal for wanting it. Thank god for Delia and Worthy. I wrote to Delia in September, begging her to buy Hucks, she sent me a personal reply saying if it were at all possible she would!! And Hucks himself, what can i say that hasn''t already been put up on this board. He is a legend, the best player in the first division and he is ours Can things get any better, oh yes, they can. We will win this division and we will, at last, show the world what a great club this is. Delia, your dreams, and ours, will come true, it has taken a long time, but it will be worth the wait.
  6. i promised you mooK (THAT IF WE SIGNED HUCKS WE WOULD BE IN THE PREMIER NEXT YEAR, AND I WILL STAND BY MY WORD!!! and i believe i also promised you we would get hucks and yes, the fans did play a part, why do you think he wanted to stay, just for himself and the board, take a pay cut? He loves the fans, and that is a FACT he has been quoted saying he loves the fans, the way of life etc, it is not purely money for him, most of us are delighted, we knew worthy would push for this, me, diane and co took a hell of a lot of stick from you and others, we wanted this so much, you know all the reasons why, to save our club, to help us get to the premier I could go on, but have said it all before because we all had a dream and we wanted a man called hucks we were slatted, told to be realistic, well we were!! who was true to his word, who wanted us as much as we wanted him? DH was, and we got him, and i don''t know how to tell you how bloody good it feels!!! How good was that reception for him, yes, us, the fans, we got what we most wanted for christmas, this club has at last decided to go forwards! thank god there are still footballers around like him, thank you so very much DH, for allowing us to have a dream and for making it come true me, diane, snakepit rebel, unimiller, first wiz, rainbow, kenny foggo (apologise to anyone i have left out) are going to enjoy this, and we are going to enjoy it until may, when we will be promoted. we have our dream and the dream will turn into reality see you in the premiership with a green and yellow scarf!!! YYYYYYYYYYYYYYEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEEESSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSSS!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. first wizard, snake pit (sorry i missed you off several other posts on here and elsewhere, sorry mate) yes, we have got the man, at long last and yes, i still believe the fans who really went for it had a great influence, especially on delia she is right, we are the best in the world, we still come in great numbers after nine years of survival, absolute hell at times and that almost there season, and we go in great numbers away from home, contribute in many ways to the club, season tickets, shares, merchandise, etc all you who slagged us off for not supporting the club, the day the board announced they had put in a bid for hucks, i bought a friend an 8 match season ticket!! Is that not support? I still am angry with the lack of ambition at the start of DH''s loan spell, the patronising approach to us fans by certain members of board and figurehead supporter organisations, but hey, in the end it was down to a few people Darren, who kept to his word, Worthy, who made it all happen and Delia and Michael and of course us, what a reception DH got yesterday, I wonder what the general football fans watching the Sky coverage must have thought, be interesting to find out!! It was mega, one of the best days of my life to see him on the pitch, ours at last Yes, i believe in wizards, fairies, everything now. Happy new year, happy promotion chase!!
  8. diane, yes, our little band can feel rightly smug and euphoric!! but we didn''t keep coming on here for ourselves, though it felt like it at times, I was just so convinced we needed this player, just so convinced and I don''t believe in the words CAN''T or NO!! The board did it in the end, after much persuasion and that so called ''greedy'' player DH!! yeah right, he kept his word and joined a club where he is loved, and going to go places oh yes, we will all have a happy new year!
  9. agreed snake pit and diane, god, how many times does DH have to prove himself well, he has another 20 or so games eh, starting with everton, what a game for him!!! Watch him go!!
  10. diane, if you can get to all the home games, rainbowchaser and i always go into the clarence harbour pub before the game, (though this is going to close in feb due to the development work nearby, it is the pub behind the barclay, very handy!!) this was a tradition started by several fans who used to chat on the official board, then when that was closed down earlier in the season due to a court case, we went to ncfc-fans.co.uk and carried on there. If you want to go on there and leave me a private message, will leave my phone number so can arrange a meet. You can also meet most of the posters on there - you will get to know the main ones. Wow, wasn''t it great yesterday, was in floods of tears, but not the cardiff ones!!! Great day, shame about the game, but seeing delia and DH on the pitch, what could have matched that! Happy new year mate, it WILL be, premiership here we come!
  11. agreed first wizard, every post i am doing at the moment, i am being blinded by tears of joy oh this is just great, after all the months of agony, stress, trying to convince everyone we really needed him, you know the stuff mate hell, how did you celebrate, rainbowchaser and me down in worthing still can''t really believe it, didn''t get home till late last night, and are having a party tonight, so will still be celebrating first wiz, diane and co, it has been tough at times, but we got there eh, hell are we going to have a great second half of the season to DH, thanks so much, some of us did believe in you, and yes, miracle and fairy tales do sometimes come true, sorry guys, tears of joy are flowing again happy christmas everyone, what a bloody great present we got this year!!!
  12. darren huckerby was our idea, we fans got it publicised, pressed the board into action, without our brilliant and persistent manager, and the wonderful DH himself, it would never have happened if we left things to the board alone we would be waiting until next christmas diane, enjoy it girl, i did, god it felt good going in the ground today, in my shirt which i have worn since september, so strong was my faith in this player HE IS OURS!!!!! CELEBRATE!!!! Thanks to delia, michael and worthy, and most of all, thank you darren huckerby, for making all our dreams come true, for proving some footballers have hopes, dreams and are not all money grabbing individuals well done DH, you are a legend, now take us to the promised land
  13. diane girl, me, you, 1st wizard, rainbow, unimiller et al hey, we were right, we kept on at them and they (at last) listened today was our day and nothing doomcaster et al ever said was going to sway me thank god they listened at last and this wonderful player will take us to the promised land just got home - and the long drive was well worth it thanks delia, michael and worthy!!! boxing day is the new christmas day!!
  14. completely agree on your point re worthy, god is he determined to get hucks so whatever anyone else has to say on here, worthy is convinced hucks is the key to the premiership, and that has always been good enough for me also, nice to see worthy mentioned speaking to both hucks and his wife, sensible man!! Mrs Hucks should have been in on the talks from the start!! not the agent
  15. pompey yellow and green good luck with your marriage mate, don''t have that problem myself, but could have lost my job over all this, if i hadn''t left anyway, god it has really got to me, all this hucks talk, in a way almost nothing else ever has we are finally there, you know that, worthy is NOT going to give up on him. He will sign, and thanks to worthy for coming out with that statement to say it was the agent speaking, not hucks, that statement was a stunning blow and the guy should be sacked for it. You or me would be. 3-1 sounds good, for today''s game, and yes, seeing him on the pitch in our shirt once more will be the greatest present we have ever had premiership, here we come!! if you are reading this diane, keep the faith girl, i am!!
  16. excellent post, and i hope DH reads it, as you said, the agent must be praying he doesn''t sign for us, cos if he does, it will be for life sod off phil smith and go somewhere the sun don''t shine!!
  17. agreed gloucester canary this agent needs serious attention and if he comes back to norwich, will probably get it, how can someone claim to ''represent'' someone, then issue a statement which he must have known was entirely fabricated and the opposite of his client''s thoughts and wishes, to say nothing of the anguish it has caused all of us, and to everyone involved at our club I thought something strange was going on last night, but until the full facts come out, I guess we just have to get on with life and try and put this to the back of our minds, I am still confident that Hucks wants to play for us and if I could give him some advice it would be to sack his agent.
  18. excellent news mcs, saw this post on ncfc-fans, I am still hopeful and probably the only fan who is!! But until he actually signs, I will be on knife edge, had to take a couple of days out, xmas is here and we have to celebrate that too, but hucks would make a great pressie, eh?
  19. so how many games have you been to this season then? sorry, haven''t had the pleasure of talking to you before i don''t think. I can only speak for myself, and I was put under the great man''s spell early on. I have seen every home game and most away and I can tell you that Huckerby will get us automatic promotion, no question. As for the fans only catching on since the goal v cardiff - for your information, or if you care to go back a few pages mate, you will see i have been pro-hucks since september, indeed i had my away shirt printed with his name on SEPTEMBER 30 (day of Reading match), yeah, to me a one match wonder Yeah, course he is a big game player, that is why he wants to come here, cos next year there will be plenty of big games. May I suggest you stick to supporting your local team - Reading! Happy Christmas and it wasn''t just the fans who had a go at the board, mate, try listening to Worthy on a few occasions.
  20. i have always believed in father christmas after all he struck early on sunday didn''t he, he has for me too in my own personal life, earlier in the month and on christmas eve, yeah, the old romantic in me says, yes, tomorrow, the best pressie of them all
  21. yeah, happy happy xmas to you to susie and to everyone on here, even the people who have argued with me all year and beyond, a very happy christmas to you all here''s to being crowned champions in 2004!!!
  22. nmtd i am even worse than your son mate, i am even thinking of going to the local grotto to ask santa myself if he can fit DH into my xtra large stocking!! lol
  23. hucks took a look at the TV schedules, saw it was all comedy repeats and decided to go and see some good (new) comedy live at the City of Manchester Stadium
  24. agreed canny, saw the highlights on canaries world, was brilliant to see the players going to the bench, this team is united and works for worthy and his team, as you say, tactics spot on. The man is a god, and yes, in the past i doubted his tactics away from home, but he is getting better, and yesterday was brilliant just hucks to get now and he will have the freedom of the city!!
  25. hey, it looks good, eh diane, get ready to celebrate girl!!!
