step 0 Posted April 13, 2014 Could someone please confirm who ducked for the Fulham goal and if they have any idea why ?Ive watched it a few times and looks like Whitty, but someone thought it was Wolfie !
Molly Windley 76 Posted April 13, 2014 Nobody ducked, two defenders went to where the path of the ball should have been but the flick on deflected it past them.
step 0 Posted April 13, 2014 Ta Molly, only seen it on a phone at the moment and looked like someone ducked as if someone behind called to leave it. Ill have a proper look later.
iron_stan 0 Posted April 13, 2014 it was wolfswinkelhe didnt really duck it was just done with zero convictionhe was the first man and should have got something on it, in truth he shouldnt have been anywhere near it either as there were a number of players more suitable to take that rolein all fairness to him hes not a defender although im not sure if hes actually a footballer at all
alex_ncfc 662 Posted April 13, 2014 Garth Crooks on Final Score said it was Whittaker who ducked. He also went on to mention it about 35 times.
kick it off 1,952 Posted April 13, 2014 Wolfswinkel didn''t duck. He''s failed miserably here but you''re just making things up with that. He went for the ball but lost the header to Sidwell. He certainly didn''t go with any conviction but he didn''t duck. The person the OP refers to is definitely Whittaker. It looks like Turner gives Whittaker a shout to leave it, Whittaker ducks, but Sidwel''''s flick then takes it over Turner''s head.http://www.101greatgoals.com/gvideos/fulham-1-norwich-0-motd/

He didn''t duck but lacked conviction. Apologies Iron-Stan, that''ll teach me to read properly before replying.
Yellow Wal 314 Posted April 13, 2014 Anything that can be thrown at him will be.He did not duck, Sidwell made a run towards the ball and flicked his header over him. The problem was that nobody picked up Sidwell''s run. RvW couldn''t do that as he was at the front of the defence and would have left one hell of a space which the ball could then have been played in to.When you watch it again, see the run of Sidwell, where he started from, and see how static Howson was. ZLF 274 Posted April 13, 2014 see the run of Sidwell, where he started from, and see how static Howson wasSeems he takes box to box to literally; repeatedly he stops tracking runs when in our penalty box - has done since he joined the club. It is he main weaknessIt was a poorly defended completely preventable goal - a team issue.
Yellow Wal 314 Posted April 13, 2014 Perhaps somebody should also mention how the free kick came about in the first place. A very poor and unnecessary challenge.

ZLF 274 Posted April 13, 2014 to be fair its olsson who should have tracked sidewells run, in his eye sight and saw movement
lowlyfendweller 0 Posted April 13, 2014 Conceding a half volley in the 6 yard box in that situation is inexcusble!! The whole team should take responsibility!
