ReadingCanary 0 Posted August 27, 2013 "West Brom goalkeeper Ben Foster ruled out for up to 12 weeks with stress fracture" - SSNPellegrini rumoured to be considering replacing Hart as Man City keeper for a few games after his recent shocking performances.Surely Ruddy deserves to start the next England game... Cerberus 0 Posted August 27, 2013 Sadly, he has been told that he will be England''s number 1 come what may. Ruddy wasnt even given a chance in a meaningless friendly against Scotland, so he is hardly going to get game time in a competitive match
ReadingCanary 0 Posted August 27, 2013 Ruddy, Forster and Hart goalkeepersSterling gets in the team ahead of Redmond....
Olly 0 Posted August 27, 2013 Would love to know why Sterling is in ahead of Redmond, he''s done bugger all for a year now
PortlandCanary 0 Posted August 27, 2013 Pelligrini isn''t going to panic and replace one of the worlds best keepers because of a bad game. He''s even publicly backed Hart. As to England, I''d like to see Ruddy get more games. Hart would probably benefit from some time off anyway.
Mason 47 1,925 Posted August 27, 2013 Bit annoyed for Redmond. Sterling, in the game Hodgson took for the u21, was eager to get on the ball but time after time made the wrong choice or didn''t have an end product. Redmond on the other hand had a brilliant match and was rightly given the MOTM champagne. Can''t help but think a lot of this decision has come down to one of them playing in red and the other in yellow. Reggie Strayshun 0 Posted August 27, 2013 I''m sure the fact Sterling plays for L''pool has a bearing Mason. Personally I don''t think either of them should be in the squad, particularly for games of this magnitude. To suggest that Redmond, after all of two Prem starts is ready for England duty proves how out of touch some people are, and how lightweight England are for genuine attacking options are these days. scrimmage 0 Posted August 27, 2013 Back on topic, has anyone read the quote "he is our number two keeper" regarding Ben Foster?A bit disappointed that Ruddy isn''t number two, especially after Foster''s "retirement".
GJP 79 Posted August 27, 2013 Yeah, I wouldn''t have had Ben Foster back. He didn''t want to know when things weren''t going well but when there''s a good chance of him making a World Cup squad he wants to get back in.
GJP 79 Posted August 27, 2013 As for Sterling, he doesn''t really deserve it on form but he is one for the future and many people have said they want rid of the older players who have tried and failed. Hodgson will know him from his time at Liverpool so obviously that will help. And being at a big club like Liverpool will weigh into it anyway.
