Blimey! Spurs against Newcastle would be worth seeing. Guaranteed goals! Perhaps once Hughton left both Clubs, they threw the defending manuals away!

I was flicking through the channels on sky last monday and came across the Liverpool channel and they were showing their u21 away game against Wolves live. They won 5-1 with Pacheco playing - you would have thought that was a massive step down for someone who has played some league football, but when they interviewed him he didn''t view it as that. There was a few others in Liverpools team that I''d seen playing in and around their first team as well. So I think the idea of this sort of league is really helpful and seems more hungry than reserve team football used to be.

I dont care if we finish bottom if there are one or two players who have what it takes to make a real break through, thats what this is all about at the end of the day. Fingers crossed that this U21 system leads to some much needed outfield young players comming through to the first team with the real ability to stand shoulder to shoulder with the players we pay transfer fee''s for.
