H4H 0 Posted November 21, 2012 Has anybody watched the U21 v Arsenal highlights on Canaries player - Rudd has an absolute shocker, what was he thinking to cut back in front of goal!!!
Thirsty Lizard 3,215 Posted November 21, 2012 I was at the game and it was a bad mistake which I''m sure he will learn from. Apart from that he played well - making a couple of very good saves and kicking excellently.I would really like to see him go out on loan to get much needed competitive match experience. Mick McCarthy was at the game watching - so perhaps Declan can go to Ipswich. He''d certainly get plenty of practice at shot stopping.

Yellowfuture 71 Posted November 21, 2012 All keepers make howlers. How can he progress if he is not playing, the current situation is ridiculous, Get him out on loan as soon as possible!

Goalkeeper loans are usually the result of another club''s misfortune.
The Great Drinkell 51 Posted November 21, 2012 If we sent Rudd out on loan we would need to have a clause to enable us to get him back at short notice - in case Ruddy/Bunn gets injured. This might also be one reason why a club might be reluctant to take him.
Canary_on_the Trent 0 Posted November 21, 2012 Why we needed Bunn & why Rudd/Steer need games out on loan.2 superb young keepers but they need to learn their trade before being relied upon in the Premier League.
pete 372 Posted November 21, 2012 Steer cannot be allowed to go out on loan, 3 keepers needed in prem, Marshall 3rd keeper at Villa unlikely to play but needs to be retained.
Yellowfuture 71 Posted November 21, 2012 I cant imagine it would be difficult to find a lower league team, with ambition for promotion or who are struggling, who would want to have on loan an England u21 goalie, even with a return clause in his contract, if they only paid a contribution to his wages it would be worth it from our part just to get him playing. Not sure what arrangement we have with Cambridge for Jed but cant imagine they are footing his wage bill, especially as he now has a flash new car and a nice flat to pay for! Jacko 0 Posted November 22, 2012 I would be happy for Norwich to pay all of Rudd''s wages if it got him out playing first team football. That is ultimately the way you develop and gain confidence. He is 21 years old and only has 10 League appearances to his name. I think a player of his calibre should have more than that already.
