"Who's next" fan visit

Recommended Posts

Opponent team visitors are beginning to strike me as phonies.  Last year, we got the occasional visiting fan asking for commentary on the upcoming game, and Pinkun regulars answered as they generally do, with politeness, interest, knowledge, and informed commentary.

Of course, that seems to be how we always respond to genuine inquiries, several of which I myself have made.

However, it seems to me that the sudden incease in these "feeling out'' sessions by opposing fans have become so regular that they are really just a lame prank being played by one or more of the PinkUn messageboard regulars.

Am I the only one thinking these inquiries from opposing fans are pointless setups?

(Even if they aren''t, why do the responders treat them with such respect? It only reaffirms our standing as unworhty. It''s like we''re the serfs looking for recognition and happy to get it no matter what it is.

COME ON, PEOPLE! WE ARE NORWICH CITY! WE ARE THE REAL ENGLAND (not the Disney World tourists see in London, Manchester or Birmingham).

I wear my colors with pride half a world away, and believe me there will be a lot of 10th graders watching the Norwich on tv this weekend!

Call them out, as happens on plenty of critical threads.

These interlopers pretending to be interested in what NCFC fans think are the same group of  mouth-breathers who come on here to dump on the team or individual players no matter what. The ones who are upfront about their disdain generally get responded to with a "binner" tag, and for as long as the thread lasts, there are at least a few responders who react that way. Once they are called out for being phony, they either diasappear, defend their opinion with great failure, or change the subject they themselves brought up.

Thanks for the query, Chops! Cheers!!

So something like this:Fan: "Hi guys, Stoke City fan here in peace.  How do you think the game will go next week?"Pink Un response: "F**k off you tw*t."

No, I don''t think so.

So long as no Dynamo fans come on here giving it the big ''un,i''m fine. Most away fans that come on here have been genuine and the ones that aren''t soon get found out.Nothing wrong with politeness,we don''t want to look like Leeds'' fans.

I don''t think its that regular. In fact I can''t remember the last time it happened before the Arsenal fan. Who is an Arsenal fan because he had that betting thing he posted up, with the username something like gunners4ever.

I actually think the occasional opposition fan coming on here to discuss the upcoming game is alright. Those threads tend to be more civilised. AS the opposition fan is normally quite nice about our club. Rather than the actual ''trolls'' who moan about everything and anything, and if they are Norwich fans should really consider a new hobby.

Well, that''s some pretty tapped paranoid delusion you''ve got rockin'' there my friend!
Firstly, we are not Leeds.
Secondly, it''s just manners to be polite.
And Third(ly) We''re the real England? The f*ck are you on about? This isn''t the ''80s.
I''m not going to jump down someones throat because they come on here looking for an alternative opinion. Like someone just said, the fakes get caught out pretty quickly. Even the Ipswich fan that came on here a month or two ago was friendly and had some insightful comments. At the end of the day, whoever comes on here and posts has to meet at least two criteria:Be friendly
Post good posts
So long as those are met, I feel obliged to reply in the same manner.
