Leeds Middle East buyout gone through today

Recommended Posts

Looks as if we''ll be getting no more of their players, and if we are relegated we could be losing the one''s we have IMO.

From what I have read today on the BBC site and the Yorkshire Post site the takeover hasn''t gone through yet. Have you more up-to-date information?

I heard the original headline on the radio but found this:

http://www.dailymail.co.uk/sport/football/article-2209286/Leeds-takeover-Bank-Gulf-Finance-House-claim-signed-agreement.html
A group has signed an exclusive deal with Leeds to try to finalise the takeover. That is all that has happened. By definition, therefore, the takeover can''t have gone through yet.

Not been finalised, but as good as done.

You may in this case end up being right, but anyone who follows this kind of stuff knows that deals that seem done and dusted often fall down at the last moment. And that could still happen here. I was not trying to be clever in picking you up on this. But there has always been a faction/view on this board that takeovers are happening all the time at other clubs and would be here if only Smith and Jones would let go of their dollshouse/train set. That is why I think it is important to be absolutely accurate about events at other clubs.

Mr Moy, I side with Purple here - note my first post on this thread above as well.  Also have a poke around WACCOE - there are very few there expecting a taekover to go through smoothly.  Even on BBC Look North this lunchtime, the Chair of the LUFC Supporters Trust was equally unmoved about a potential takeover - they''ve heard this all before.

Bates is a shyster, and no doubt is already re-negotiating what was a done deal. Given his track record unless the purchaser is desperate to achieve legitimacy at whatever price like Abramovic did, Bate''s first desire will be to continual push for the best deal he can get.  Whether the purchaser will have the patience to put up with that is the key.   I''m not saying it won''t go ahead, given there is a paid go-between this time may improve the situation.
Never mind, we still have little old, hard up Delia! [:''(]
She may be poor Wiz but......

Down in Suffolk way......

Folk are even poorer......

So......

Norwich gets a football club and restaurants.......

While Suffolk gets a foodbank!
