Good news,Hughton plays 2 up front, bad news........

Recommended Posts

with the loaning out of Vaughan, we''ve now left ourself short of strikers to play in it.

I had convinced myself all week that with the sheer number of midfielders at the club and with Vaughan leaving Hughton was going to be a staunch one up front man, so I commend him for proving me wrong today. However it just makes Vaughan''s leaving all the more mystifying?.  Jackson did well today but when we''re looking at the bench for fresh legs ,I''m afraid we need better than Martin, Vaughan would have been ideal to bring on to day.

Surely Hughton must have a new striker coming in this week but worringly he said on Radio Norfolk tonight that if he does no more business before the deadline that he''s happy with the squad he''s got??

It feels a bit like when Ayala went on loan and the up pops Bassong, Im expecting a new striker to pop up now Vaughan has gone out on loan regardless of what CH said.

He will sign a striker. I have no inside info, but it seems glaringly obvious he will.

But did he actually say he wasn''t looking to sign anyone else, because if he didn''t say that then that "if not...happy..." quote means nothing. It is No. 97 in the football manager''s list of cliched statements to avoid giving a straight answer. He is hardly going to say he is unhappy with the squad.

Prolly feels like he had 3 fit first team strikers with C Martin extra, and still has time to buy another. No big deal today?

Will be if we don''t sign someone else long term, but I believe we will.
