Bill 1,788 Posted March 17, 2012 Justin Fashanu was not gay, just an attention seeker

Gingerpele 0 Posted March 17, 2012 Can''t quite see why he would think its a good idea to say that?Even if he thinks its true, surely he knows he''s only going to get hated on for saying it, he can''t prove it, and I would say Justin is somewhat of a ''hero'' in some respects for a lot of people. All John has done is make himself sound like a compete tw@t to be honest.
norfolkbroadslim 225 Posted March 17, 2012 What a c u next tuesday John Fashanu is! Obviously we don''t know to what extent what John says is or isn''t true, but a part of what he is saying is just his opinion. Whatever the facts are Justin had issues, that is there for all to see. He needed his brother and listening to John now, it''s not surprising he wasn''t there for him. John doesn''t have anything good to say about Justin even now, even after things got so bad that he took his own life. He was no brother to Justin and I''d be ashamed if I had a brother like John Fashanu. It doesn''t sound like John Fashanu is comfortable at all with homosexuality listening to that interview. lake district canary 0 Posted March 17, 2012 Insecurity does funny things to people. Both Justin and John show(ed) signs of deep insecurity. People handle fame and money differently - some find it very difficult. Justin''s move to Notts Forest should never have happened. We all knew when he moved it was not right for him. We could not afford to turn the money down though. Deeply insecure (as we know now), a confidence player, capable of great skill but also lacking in some ''basic skills'' and reliability, he was always going to find it difficult living up to the big transfer fee and high profile manager. Gay or not, insecurity was seemingly at the heart of the problem. John has put up a tough front to anything regarding his brother. This too is probably to hide his insecurity and is his way with dealing with Justins attention seeking. We don''t know what really goes on in families, but brothers do fall out and it has always seemed to me to be a bit unfair on John and the way he is villified when we don''t know all the facts. He seems to have been just trying to deal with difficult situations as well - lets not forget he was also a high profile sportsman/TV person. Just very difficult. I suspect this subject has been done before on this board, but the gay issue is kind of irrelevant, its more a human story of a family trying to deal with fame and fortune and not really managing it! Tragic for all concerned, but one that can be echoed in all walks of life where people can''t handle things, for whatever reason.
im spartacus canary 0 Posted March 17, 2012 John would probably know better than any of us
Gingerpele 0 Posted March 17, 2012 He probably would, doesn''t make it true though does it? And even if it was true, whats the point in saying it? Not many will believe him unless he gets some actual proof, and it just makes him look pathetic.
? 20 Posted March 17, 2012 Ironically, he''s probably just trying to get attention.
