Whittingham would be nice, but how well would he fit into the team? Wouldn''t it make Surman pretty useless?

Graham would be perfect, but don''t know how much he would cost. If affordable, he would probably be a very good option.

I would like to see Becchio, him and Holt upfront would be great to see :P

It all depends how serious the board are about trying to stay up and how much they will give Paul Lambert to spend. Unlike the last time we got there, when it was obvious that should we go staright back down (which we did) all the players bought in could be resold for virtually the same as we paid for them (prudence without ambition).

wow didnt notice commons left derby.i tihnk all of them would be affordable.taking into account you could get away with spending the same amount as the parachute payments they would receive even if relegated straight away. or possibly more

What about Michael Owen?

Not sure if Lambert would want to sign him. But he is the kind of experienced player, who could really excel for us if we were in the Premiership, i believe his contract is up in the summer, and if not he wouldn''t cost much anyway. Not sure how much he would want paying. But don''t think he would have too many options anyway, hasn''t exactly stayed fit in the last couple of years, would probably be happy at any Prem club.

Money has to be spent wisely and I''d love the club to follow the Blackpool or WBA model. Although it would be highly likely we''d come back straight down we''d have young players with the potential to get us straight back up and won''t have cost us the earth.

I do not want us to go up but come back down having spent large amounts of money like Hull and have no financial benefit from going up or a core group of players in place to go again.

Jamie Ward? Is that a joke, he is awful! Can''t even get near a poor Shef Utd side. If cardiff don''t go up i''d like us to try and get Mark Hudson at centre half. In Midfield, Darren Pratley has always looked very impressive when i''ve seen him. Maybe Darren Ambrose aswell, Peter Whitingham is a good shout, upfront the two i''d like from the championship would be Shane Long and Nicky Maynard.
