Will Barnett be the new Tiny?

Recommended Posts

I mean, just like the ''Tiny'' Taylor saga/farce, we can''t, or more likly, won''t sign him in January because of the lack of cash.

I see him as a vital cog in our promotion desires, its a crying shame Fry''s not wealthy isn''t it?

I guess we wont know till January will we Wiz?

I would imagine they''ll find some funds to have Barnett here till the end of the season then we can make a decision based on our league positioning then!

All well and good mate, until some other club nicks him off us in the window, again like Taylor.
As it appears he has no future at West Brom, does he want to stay?
Dont quote me on it but I seem to remember him saying something along the lines that he would be more than happy to stay here longer the January in one of his interviews,

I posted earlier about barnett that unfortunately with each awesome performance he puts in his value also goes up with it so I feel we need to purchase him in Jan to get the best deal as like mentioned before, we do not want other clubs sniffing around for him at the end of the season
Wiz''s recipe of the day........

First, dig up a piece of history and throw in the pot.

"I mean, just like the ''Tiny'' Taylor saga/farce"

Then add a bit of doom.

"we can''t, or more likly, won''t sign him in January"

And a bit of depression.

"because of the lack of cash."

Season with expectation.

"I see him as a vital cog in our promotion desires"

and stir. Throw in a dig at one of the board.

"its a crying shame Fry''s not wealthy isn''t it?"

And there you have it.........

Wizard''s poison pudding.

I think he will be singing here....

I think we have more money available than most people think....McNally obviously knows how to run a football club on a fairly tight budget (Did Fulham ever overspend? even though they have a rich owner, they have never really gone overboard....)...

Plus you can work out the cost of a player, based on his impact to the team, if we didn''t sign Barnett (or extend his loan) and started letting in more goals, it would be fairly obvious why, and as a repercussion, are position in the league would no doubt fall, gaining less income....But if we signed Barnett, and kept our so called solid defence (Why letting in goals from so many corners, and the odd mistakes?) and stayed in the play-offs (or higher :P) it would be worth the money spent....

He is out of contract at the end of the season so shouldn''t cost to much.

Yes runs out in July 2011, think WBA paid £2.5 m for him back in July 2007.

He''s only 24, is playing well so wouldn;t you think they''d want to recoup at least £750 - £1m for him?
or we could loan him until end of season, and get him for free :D
Yes but can''t see WBA agreeing to that as they then wouldnt get anything for him. If we can''t afford him in Jan I''m sure there will be clubs queueing up to buy him.

What if he wants to join us? (and i''m sure some of these other clubs would have been asking to loan him as well....)

Then he can just refuse any other club, and WBA can loan him back to us, until the end of the season...
