If the concern is his fitness, then it should be pay for play, with so many on trial there is obviously competition for places but McVeigh was a talented player when fit whereas some of the triallists probably have been released because they won''t ever make at any pro level. I trust Gunn and Butterworth to be professional enough to determine if McVeigh is still capable of performing at the required level and to not sign him if they don''t.
