jon francis 0 Posted July 26, 2004 Well? Who captains on matchdays? What are the 2 different captains for?
Pete Raven 276 Posted July 26, 2004 Club captain - social secretary, does a lot more for the club off the pitch, usually an experienced pro who is at ease with dealing with the media.Team captain - the traditional captain with the armband on the pitch. Robbo007 0 Posted July 26, 2004 Drury will be captain on the pitch, toss the coin etc. Fleming will take over the role Iwan had. Basically you will see alot more of Flem doing community work. Should be a good idea as he is a very good role model
Being Jan Kristiansen... 0 Posted July 26, 2004 Organising bingo nights for boys?
susie b 0 Posted July 26, 2004 You''re right about the social secretary bit, Pete. According to Iwan''s book the club captain organise the festivities at Christmas, for example. I think Flem is a very good choice as he always comes across well when interviewed and seems popular among the players and staff, but will he be taking the guys to do some yoga in the community followed by organic Christmas pudding and fruit juice this year, I wonder? gazzathegreat 0 Posted July 26, 2004 hiya susie after watching flems tenderly feeling the organic produce in sainsburys i suspect you might be right with your christmas prediction :-)
ZLF 335 Posted July 26, 2004 Hmm - sounds like a tabloid headline - ''I was watching flem tenderly feel his organic produce'' - I am sure there is either an offence of stalking/peeping tommery or indecent exposure amongst there somewhere!
susie b 0 Posted July 26, 2004 Which Sainsburys, gazza? If it''s the same one I frequent I might have to avoid the organic stuff if it has been tampered with!
Super Shaun Carey 0 Posted July 26, 2004 I too have seen him prodding the parsnips and fondling the swede (no, not Svensson !)Do not know where Gazza shops, but I have seen the old boy in the Pound Lane branch.
