Just read on the BBC that Malkay Mackay has been given the position of caretaker manager at Watford.

Good luck to him, a true legend of a player, and who will, with a bit of good luck, be Norwich manager one day.

Indeed Jim - as in any business, people are the key, always keep your best people. We didn''t follow that adage with Malky. Worthington sowed the seeds of his and our eventual downfall the day he booted him out. Not only because he could have done a job for us as player and or coach in the prem, but because of the Linvoy affair. Worthy recognised the need to replace like with like, but when he didn''t get Linvoy, he bizarrely gave up and bought Simon Charlton!!
