Surely we need two such players to complete the squad and provide cover and balance. So why not get Andy Bishop NOW ready for Satruday and then continue to pursue Stefan as well.......? Or are we THAT skint?[/quote]I would imagine we are "THAT skint", but it''s also possible that Bishop doesn''t want to come here, or Bury don''t want to sell him, or Roeder doesn''t rate him as highly as you do, or he''s in negotiations with someone else.There may well be a plac B or C, but we won''t know that until the close of the transfer window. Thecanaryfan 0 Posted August 27, 2008 I agree totally here. But sadly Bishop wont be coming here on the cheap. I believe Bury have slapped a £1m price tag on his head. Bishop is a very similar player to Billy Sharp imo, both in playing style, positioning and scoring ability. Sheff Utd paid £2m for him so £1m for Bishop would be good business.
