Canary02 III 0 Posted July 16, 2008 And that''s always an enormous IF with City, then we have a squad consisting of:Marshall, RuddOtsemobor, New loan bloke from Fulham with funny name, Drury, Bertrand, Shackell, Doherty, Stefanovic, Spillane.Chadwick, Croft, Fotheringham, Russell, Clingan, Pattison, Eagle, Hoolahan, Smith, LathropeCureton, Martin, Renton, Thompson, Lupoli, Daley Looks better than it did yesterday but still isn''t going to challenge for the play-offs in all seriousness. At the moment though if you offered me the choice of us getting the players in or holding out for better I''d definitely say we should get them signed. Effectively, lets settle for second best, because we have no confidence we''ll get any better! Scary.
Canary02 III 0 Posted July 16, 2008 See numerous threads regarding Fiorentina''s website which has us agreeing a deal of some kind for the ex-Arsenal and Derby predatory midget.
O.T.B.C 1 Posted July 16, 2008 He is linked with us. Well sultana sports say so and the Viloa website reckon a deal is imminent too.

Stevie Wonder 0 Posted July 16, 2008 I''m sorry but I can''t get excited by a promising Fulham right back who managed to get himself sent off on his 2nd appearance, an ageing and seemingly past his best Stefanovic (see the thread on here from the Fulham fan), a 24yr old Irish League player (although granted a with decent strike record) and a lighweight Italian who in the view of Wenger is too lightweight for English football. Throw in Alan Gow and it begins to look like a Murray, Strihavka, Brellier, Cureton kind of summer!!I really hope I am wrong but I have a bad feeling about this.... Branston Pickle 4,145 Posted July 16, 2008 I work with a guy who does the stretcher bearing for Fulham - so here is my one and only chance to use my football connection...but unfortunately he wasn''t at work today. I''ll have to ask him about these players tomorrow.I did used to go and watch Sheff Weds in the Prem when he Stefanovic was there though - he didn''t really impress too greatly, but then he had Emerson and (an ageing but still decent) Des Walker keeping him out of the side - and that was nigh-on 10 years ago. IMO a decent, experienced c/b could be just what we need. Yes he may lack a bit of pace, but Malky did that, and made up for it in other areas. As for the r-b on loan, he would only be cover for Otsemobor, so doesn''t really need to be a full international or anything(!)Re: the Irish lad, I can''t really comment - others have made the jump across the Irish sea and been a big hit, others haven''t - but why shouldn''t we give it a go? Branston Pickle 4,145 Posted July 16, 2008 I did wonder about that myself - with Magilton''s connections, it is surprising he''s not had the lad over before now if he is really that good. But then, the rumours are that the binners are busy buying Lisbie, so perhaps his judgement isn''t all that after all!
