we8wba 0 Posted January 21, 2008 just listened to old dion dublin on the radiojust like to wish him all best for rest of season and he is truely great servant for norwich and the football leaguehe was saying main reasons for him retiring is he has lived out of midlands for 2yrs 6months including the celtic spell and as we all know he tends to be homesick etc.. so he is leaving to be closer to familyalso mentioned he feels naturally fit when on pitch but takes him longer to warm up and get to that level of fitness.so least he leaving for all the right reasons and i wish him well. Kissthebadge 0 Posted January 21, 2008 I doubt a truer gentleman has played the game in the modern era. I bumped into him in Curry''s a couple of months ago and he really is a genuinely lovely person.
Klobo7 0 Posted January 21, 2008 I have to admit that when his signing was announced I was among the many who thought Worthy was having a laugh, but I dont know anyone who has been so consistant over the last two years, and I have defnitely been made to eat my words. Thanks for everything you have done Dion, and good look to you and your family in the future. P.S Dion for player of the season
Delias Tasty Nibblets 0 Posted January 22, 2008 Its a shame he didnt come to our club sooner, if theres a more professsional player out there I havent seen him, hes been a credit to the club, to us fans, and too himself.I hope he has a happy retirement, but im sure there will always be a coaching spot open for him with us, and you never know, if he fancies it, future manager?Good luck Dion
Syteanric 1 Posted January 22, 2008 Decent Pro and finishing his career where it started all those years ago..... Perhaps he''d move the family if we offered a coaching role.... Great ambassador for the club! Perhaps he could come and do local radio or TV 1 day a week? His opinions would be valued! jas :)
chicken 0 Posted January 22, 2008 Jas, sadly one of the pundits said that he had spoken to Dion and he is unlikely to go straight into coaching as he does not have the badges at the moment. To add to that apparently he is popular with TV producers as a pundit/commentator so it looks as though that may be the route to go down.
Blainsey 2 Posted January 22, 2008 I mocked his signing. That only lasted a few weeks until I realised that despite his age he is a truly great servant. Well done Worthy for making this happen and good luck to you Dion in whatever walk of life you pursue.

we8wba 0 Posted January 22, 2008 as to coaching norwich i dont think its a matter of footballing and his fitness i think the main factor is his family and moving back to midlands.i believe if he was say at coventry he may stay on, but he wouldnt go to club now and thats why he is retiring
