Duffman 0 Posted January 11, 2008 In one of his final acts as Newcastle manager it turns out that Sam Allardyce rejected an approach from Norwich for goalkeeper Steve Harper. United boss Glenn Roeder tried to buy Harper on Wednesday and take him to Carrow Road in a permanent move. But Roeder was knocked back in his attempts by Allardyce - just like had a couple of days earlier when he asked his successor if he could take Shola Ameobi on loan. Who next for Roeder - Andy Carroll per chance?http://www.newcastle.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=96093
Boris 62 Posted January 11, 2008 Why we need to waste money for keeper ?3 keepers if we have and no one of them very young this mean 2 unhappy keepers verry soon.
rudenotto69 0 Posted January 11, 2008 We need a goalkeeping coach maybe that was the bait offered to Harper??
we8wba 0 Posted January 11, 2008 seems strange because harper wants to be 1st teamer so cant see him coming to norwich to sit on the bench. makes no sense with norwich current situation with goalkeepers either.only 2 suggestions are1. it utter tosh2. marshall is leavingi think i believe statement 1 more

NIGELWNONOTHIM 0 Posted January 11, 2008 DO YOU THINK THAT MARSHALL WAS GOING TO BE SOLD. WE DO NEED A GK COACH BUT WE WOULD NOT SURELY PAY PLAYERS WAGES TO A COACH.
we8wba 0 Posted January 11, 2008 i dont think harper is being signed to become a coach, he wants 1st team football not to leave the game compltely! and are mags willing to sell? i mean they have given and harper thats it, and given isnt the fittest so im sure mags would love to keep harperthis story is utter rubbish and not true (watch him sign tommorow now)
