gazzathegreat 0 Posted November 26, 2007 So says all of us, well hopefully.I have thought since his arrival that Glenn''s interviews were full of good sense and he is a most articulate manager. Very intelligent and thoughtful. And the post match interview after our win was indeed music to the ears, should be everyone''s ears. I don''t know about you TO7, but to hear that quote alone made me very happy, happier even than the win. Again, very complimentary about the support.Let''s hope he does manage to bring back true passing football to our club, it''s been away far too long.
Rush 0 Posted November 26, 2007 Yes it was impressive talk from Glen Roeder....lets hope we are capable of playing the attracrive football we all love and get some dedicated players in who can play that way.OTBC
Nice and Peaceful 0 Posted November 26, 2007 Agree with all of this 100%. His desire to win by playing attractive passing football matches exactly what the supporters have always wanted, what our club is famous for, and what the previous manager had no grasp of. Other clubs win by direct football and ruthless professionalism and a clinical approach to the game. We win by doing what we do best, passing the ball. Yet why were so many people so critical in the first half when we took our time to get the ball forward? For me Glenn''s most important quote after the game was on The Chamoionship: "Make no mistake about it, this is a proper club, a big club. It''s just not been well" The more he speaks, the more sense he comes out with, such an improvement on PG. I know it''s early days, and several people are pointing out how far there is to go and how much work still needs to be done. But for my money Glenn''s early decisions have been the best news at the club for 4 years.
Mr.Carrow 394 Posted November 26, 2007 Yep, he comes across as anything but the dour, uninspirational bloke he was supposed to be when he joined. He also seems genuinely impressed by the potential of the club which is good to hear. Obviously the key could be to what extent the board back him in January-Taylor on a permenant deal would be a fantastic start and a statement of intent. In order to avoid the financial disaster of relegation it once again comes down to "speculate to accumulate" and they can`t dither or slide out of it this time. Duffman 0 Posted November 26, 2007 Its also nice to hear an interview which doesnt have ''for sure'' or no doubt about that'' after every sentance.

Not that we are. But we have been playing like a pub team, and getting the appropriate results. So your statement seems inherently flawed.
