Vital Norwich needs you!

Recommended Posts

The Vital Norwich site is back up and running!

It is, primarily, a fan site - owned and run by fans. You can comment on all stories made, contribute your own ramblings, and even have a regular feature of your own to inflict on everyone else, if you wish.

In my mind, it is the perfect compliment to the Pink Un.

So, if you fancy contributing and joining in, just visit www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk and have a look.

There''s room for everyone... [Y]

Well, that''s killed that then.

What was it that made U4E so stimulating Wiz?

I''m not sure he is still involved, but I''m sure you could pop in from time to time anyway? [;)]

It has the potential to act like 606 on the BBC site, where fans comment of stories and are always able to contribute the points they want to make. It really is a case of the more the merrier (even if the subject is Norwich City).

The previous tenants of Vital Norwich put me off, mainly because they were using it to make anti-club comments, I prefer my stories unbiased. That said, I''ll happily give it a look if you''re writing there.

Well, I am the new editor. But, although I''m doing the writing at the moment, I want others to come on, contribute, provide a rant every other week or so, and generally involve everyone.

The equivalent Sheffield Wednesday, Ipswich and Colchester sites get comments left and people involved. I think the Vital Norwich site should make it''s mark too.

I''m currently in the middle of updating information and pictures, so by the time the season gets going the site should be an animal in fine fettle.

That''s the plan anyway.

What are you doing here then? [;)]

It was formerly NCFC-Fans.co.uk but they moved to the Vital Forums a few days ago. I''m on there (same name as here).

Hmmmm pass. There are so many NCFC fan sites / boards now it''s frankly unnecessary and besides, I don''t like to use sites like vital football who''s sole aim is to make an easy buck off advertising.

Thank you for all your comments people. Much appreciated.

I agree there are plenty of Norwich fan and news sites around, but I really feel the Vital site can bring news while allowing fans to comment on, and contribute to that news at the same time, on the same site.

Personally, my aim is to bring the news, rumour, reports and developments in a pretty straight editorial fashion (with maybe the odd congrat or dig). I want everyone else to spark off the debates from it.

As I said, that''s where you guys all come in. Either way, lets hope the team produce plenty of things to talk about!

I enjoy your posts on here mbncfc so I maybe will take a look at the site again. However last time I was sent there via a link on this messageboard it was to read this article

 http://www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=31262

and I vowed not to return.

I must confess that, at the time, I had contempt for all people who thought Alan Curbishley would ever come to Carrow Road. Did they not hear why he left Charlton?!

Anyways, my site will be balanced (whether it should be or not). I can then have my say, just as all fans can. Look forward to seeing you on there NN [;)]

UNASHAMEDLY BUMPING POST!

Lots of news stories for you to leave your comments on.

A poll requiring your opinions.

And a ramble about our wingbacks. Do you find it ignorant to tactical necessities? or something...

Pop on and be a part - www.norwich.vitalfootball.co.uk

Plymouth get loads of comments. We should be topping them [:D]
(It''s a good way of keeping an eye on our Championship rivals too - Southampton beat Exeter 4-2 in a friendly last night for example)

See you all there then! [:P]

That was a bit silly Nutty cos they were proved quite right.

However some of the other articles - including one alluding to a Nest writer having to watch himself around carrow road made me stop visiting the site.

"As for referring to many Worthy Outers as ''spoilt brats'', Libero had better make certain that his real identity remains cloaked behind his keyboard. A good number of those that stood shoulder to shoulder last season, objecting to the style of play (and not the results, as has often been repeated), will not take kindly to that inference and Libero will need to enter and leave Carrow Road with considerable caution until Libero sees the animosity he has created and either retracts that statement or publicly apologises for his poor choice of adjectives!

It should be categorically stated that anyone on the staff of the Vital network does not condone any acts of violence or any other act of unlawful behaviour. However, having personal knowledge of a good number of Worthy Outers, many are known to choose to make a point in any means suitable at the time..."

The one about Nigel Worthington''s sons school fees (subsequently removed) caused me to cease using the site entirely.  Thankfully the guy involved was subsequently releived of his position.

Ah, CJF, I''m sure there''s room for a regular ranting from the county''s favourite vigilante wordsmith. Fancy it?

To all, clearly Vital Norwich was a tainted beast. But my aim now is to make it something far more balanced and interesting, where fans can comment on the stories and contribute their view point - without it being enforced upon everyone else.

If you''ve left it alone because of the misdemeanours from others, I promise it a fresh start if you give it a drop in every so often. The site will be the better for it.

Anyway, I''ve already commented too much on this thread, so I should probably leave it alone (until I bump it up again in a week''s time [:P])

So the suggestion that Worthy has a ''special'' relationship with one director was proved right was it?

You really are a cock sometimes CJF.... the yellow beak is a giveaway [;)]

[/quote]As owner of The Nest I can quite happily say that Vital is a completeley different site to the one it was most of last season. If anyone is thinking of signing up and trying their hand at writing I would strongly advise to give it a go. At The Nest some of our last season columnists went on to bigger and better things.  If you are a student waiting for that job in journalism, or someone looking to put their spare time to better use itrs a great way to get started in this sort of thing. Everyone has to start somewhere. The new boys at Vital seem to know their stuff. One of which is a personal friend of mine too and as a fellow webmaster thy come highly recommended.
