Unlucky Fried Kitten 0 Posted December 7, 2006 According to www.radiobroadland.co.uk , if Grant had been in charge during the summer he would have definitely checked out Chris Sutton. He mentions Sutton''s versatility and clearly rates him as a player.
mbncfc 1 Posted December 7, 2006 I didn''t even know Broadland had a sport section until today!Sorry BB, I was hoping this wasn''t going to be about Chris S...The more interesting story to me was the quotes from PG about increasing the club''s scouts and scouting. That does bode well in my eyes...CS is injured at the moment btw - has been out some time with a groin problem...
alex_ncfc 664 Posted December 7, 2006
CS is injured at the moment btw - has been out some time with a groin problem...
He is? News to me, as I could have sworn I saw him playing for Villa on TV just the other week..
Syteanric 1 Posted December 7, 2006 the fact that, up until his injury, means he was playing and scoring for villa, means we wont get himjas :)
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted December 7, 2006 unfortunatly he has impressed for Aston Villa this season and so they won''t be letting him go. Even if they sign another striker, with such a small squad a quality player as versatile as sutton would be invaluable to them. Not gonna happen. Karl Pilkington 0 Posted December 7, 2006 I''m sure with Randys wedge burning a hole in his back pocket O''Neil will be wanting someone instead of Sutton. May still be a posibility in the window.
Hayden 0 Posted December 7, 2006 I think it was easy to say that, he knows the fans wanted Sutton so he is just making a statement when he knows he doesn''t have to put his money where his mouth is. Bit of thinly veiled PR if you ask me. He''ll say he likes the look of Rooney next............

Has missed the last three games with this groin injury. Not sure when he''s due back. So far he''s made 6 apprearances, 3 as sub. This isn''t me volunteering a Chris Sutton update service btw [:P]
Hucka Hucka Huckerby 0 Posted December 7, 2006 He wasn''t good enough for Worthy... i bet he cringes every time he sees Sutton on the telly in a Villa shirt!
