E I E I E I O 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Well the pinkun has now claimed that Curbs, Tilson, Bowen etc... have as good as ruled themselves out.I would like to see us go for 1 of the 2 listed below:1. Alex Mcleish - Actually managed to win the league of Celtic which takes some doing and won a treble. This certainly fits in with Delias "Will have to be a winner" Statement!2. Mike Newell - His side love to attack and that "if you score 3 we''ll score 4 no fear about them". This would certainly be exciting to watch and may suit our players. I also really rate the lad VINE he has at Luton, maybe he would be part of the bargain and I would love to see him partner Earnie! Vine a decent centre back and a playmaker in the middle and I feel we could become competitive! Please not Robson, Hoddle, Blackwell etc....
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Both decent shouts, let me add to the list of potential candidates:Tony Mowbray: has done a decent job at Hibernian. even though we may not agree with his roots. You can nver be sure about Scottish Success''s however.
Cluck 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Maybe Dario Gradi might be ready to step up to the plate.Like Curbishley at Charlton, Gradi has worked wonders at Crewe and my fancy a go before he gets too old.........
komakino 282 Posted October 6, 2006 I think Mowbray might be off to WBA. It''s been Newell for me for the last two years, but I''m concerned the board couldn''t be that far sighted. I fear they might bottle it and go for a well known figure who will do very little......There could be a Bryan Hamilton round the corner - Let''s hope not. Karl Pilkington 0 Posted October 6, 2006 Did I read somewhere that Mowbray is being interviewed for the baggies, but elsewhere it says their Number one target is Tillson.I wouldn''t mind Mowbray, but what type of football do his teams play?? The same goes for Dave Penny at Donny. Where they hoofers or was Doncaster the home of Sexy Football???
Citizen Journalist Foghorn 0 Posted October 6, 2006 mowbray''s team plays the ball on the deck.I have advocated Mike Newell for a long time, but remember he doesnt take bungs so we might not do so well in the transfer market with him!! actually we couldnt possibly do any worse!!! In the summer he would have been ideal and cheap. Not now however.
O.T.B.C 1 Posted October 6, 2006 Someone on the WOTB said that Steve Tilson was approached by us and the chairman turned down the chance for him to speak to us and was sopunding really cheesed off on radio Norfolk, as I have not heard it I can not verify if this is true as we have the misfortune not to have radio Norfolk here but I reckon someone will let us all know soon.My choice changes each hour for a manager at the moment its as follows:TilsonAlex McPenneyBowenSouness (think would be a great choice if we have no other options)Mowbray.I feel that really with the limited funds we have, we should try and get someone who is out of work, it may look like we are showing little ambitiion that way but we need to save money, I do rate and want Tilson and I do think that he will not cost a fortune.I''ll tell you what thou, its really exciting at the moment with so many names being put forward and names we don''t want (Megson, Robson, Hunter, O''dreary and Blackwell).I''m sure we will do well appointing a new man and I hope we can fit in someone like Roberts as a coach.
