ManchesterCanary 0 Posted October 7, 2006 I was initially reluctant to get involved in the free for all in putting names forward. But I have decided to throw my hat into the ring. There are numerous people we could probably get, the club is an attractive proposition, but above all i would like to see a manger who gets his team to play attractive football on the ground. Please no more hoofball, its not the way we play and i just can''t stand it. I think Bowen and Crook are a reasonable choice, but I feel they are too inexperienced for the battle ahead. Shame we could not attract Professor Wenger, but my suggestion would be;Graham Souness - not an outstanding premiership manager but fantastic experience and has had his share of success including silverware whilst managing at Liverpool, Rangers, Southampton, Benfica, Galatasaray, Blackburn and Newcastle. He got Blacburn into the premiership and they finished 10th under him, a club not too dis-similar to ours. I am convinced he would sort out our players, attract new ones in and get us to the pemiership...and he would probably keep us there. He likes his teams to play attractive football through midfield. I spoke to him recently when I saw him at my sons football training camp and he was nothing like his image, a true gent and great passion for the game. Sure he would be expensive but quality does not come cheap and he would attract quality players. If its true he has applpied, and if we have the ambition. lets go for him! Comments please...
