I'm all for a protest....

But there is one thing I cannot understand.

''All chants should be about Worthington and aimed at the board. No negatives about our players.''

This quote is from the organisers website. Now don''t get me wrong, I want Worthy out, the bad buys, tatics, etc. However, over the course of the season a number of players (Etuhu, McVeigh at times, Jarrett, Ashton, Green at times, Thorne, Colin, the list goes on), they don''t seem bothered about the club or its'' fans. The opinion I have formed of a large number of our sqaud is that they are playing for their pay cheques, and that''s it. I''m sure I''m not the only one here who thinks this.

So, why on earth shouldn''t we start turning against the players? Supporting them in our droves has obviously done fack all, so maybe us telling them to start putting some effort into it, it might put a rocket up their backsides and make them start thinking and playing for their money and the club.

There are bound to be people that disagree with me, but there''s my thought on it. I''ll be protesting again against the state of our club on the pitch.

OTBC!

Turning against the players will not help them. Performance by players will get worse if they are criticized.

[/quote] Exactly - moaning at the players won''t help them before a game! As i''ve said before if they''re not performing it''s up to Worthy to do something about it. The buck stops with him IMO. He signed them so he should get them motivated and playing!! If he can''t then he clearly:

1] isn''t a good manager (think we know that) and/or

2] he hasn''t signed the right players.

Both appear to be Worthy''s responsibility so I think the chants should be aimed at him!!

Could their performance get any worse?  I don''t think they are sacrosanct - by all means give them a rocket as well as Worthy and the Board.  They are all in this together.

I understand your point but don''t you think it is Worthy who isn''t training them probably etc. If a new manager come in, I think Earny, Hughes and even Etuhu will improve bucket-fulls. Worthy doesn''t look like he can handle certain types of players!
