Pukki is the problem

Pukki is a one trick pony, slotting home through balls with his right.  Almost all his goals are identical, look at his goals against Sheff U and Blackpool, not through balls but made for himself which is admirable.  Yesterday's chance Pukki's was on his rightl hit straight at keeper a trait familiar with Pukki.  If he had just moved the ball with his right onto his left the scoring opportunity would have been better with more of the goal open.  The penalty against Sheff U was poor, often Pukki fails to get any elevation on his penalty kicks and makes saving an easier option.

You haven’t noticed the rest of the work he does as well. The chances he sets up for others, the chasing back.He is massively more than a ‘one trick pony’

Great player, but we don't have a midfield to serve him

Pukki is played up front because of what he did with a Farke midfield behind him. But without service he does little and the rest of the side are dysfunctional

It isn't Teemu's fault but he was an also ran until Farke built a team around him and he is back to that again.

Agree with all of this, which strongly suggests that Teemu isn't the problem.

We must have Sargent up front. The best we have looked this season is with that set up.

If Pukki can't play elsewhere he must start on the bench.

Surely should we not have goal scorers throughout the team ? Relying solely on your best scorer is never going to be enough , we need goals from a few others on a more regular basis if we are going to mount a serious challenge .

Stiepermann fed the goat too.

He only played 14 games that season and not all starting then left for a 2nd Division German team.Buendia played nearly 3 times the games and left for £30 + million. I liked Stiepermann but they were at different levels. Also as the points show when Buendia was injured/suspended we were far far worse.

To be fair when we got promoted first time round and Stiepermann went off the boil we were far worse due to his lack of form. So he was pretty critical for us as a team.

Never found a suitable replacement, either, Duda was the attempt... But we know how that went.
