So Brighton are all happy and fifth in the Premiership.

We have many unhappy supporters and are bottom.

The reality is that we have played Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal and Brighton have played Burnley, Watford, Everton and Brentford. They lost to Everton.

Where do you think Brighton would be if they had played Liverpool, Manchester City, Leicester and Arsenal?

In an optimistic view, 1 win from those 4 was possible. We were a hair's breadth from 2 draws - but we have come away with 0 points - and we probably aren't too surprised. There are lots of 'if onlys' if only Arsenal put out there under 13s like they did against Brentford etc etc. We are where we are, and that's where we truthfully expected to be at this stage.

Brighton a lower mid table team now with some quality players (Sanchez, Trossard, Bissouma, Maupay, Welbeck) plus a strong and settled centre back pairing (even without Ben white)  they are a slight step up from us today. I'd like to think in a month or twos time, with everything settled we will be on par with the potential to be much better than them. Just hope it isn't too late.

It's a real shame the fixtures have panned out this way, but actually, given the summer business, it's given players a few free hits to bed into the squad before the real action begins.

I doubt they’d be on zero points with a minus 10 GD.

It's the manner of the losses. Arsenal and Leicester were at a low point and there to be "got at". We sat back and played our game as we always do, didn't create enough and didn't exploit the weaknesses of our opponents. It's a serious failing we have at this level.
