Hmmmm....... "Harry Redknapp, who bought and sold 134 players in seven years as manager of West Ham during the 1990s, admits, "If you want a player, it doesn't matter what happens to the money." About Venables, Parry is reported as saying: "He's not fundamentally bent, just misguided." taken from Tom Bower;s excellent book, Broken Dreams, which further expands onour 'arrys views that he should be enumerated with more than just his manager's salary, and why he was known as 'readies' Redknapp

Happy to join Southampton from Portsmouth and then return to Portsmouth when he didn't get his own way there. Almost single handedly destroyed Portsmouth, QPR and Birmingham. Took a huge payment to manage the mighty Jordan then moaned about lack of quality / not being able to sign players like Ronaldo when he lost the game, then quit! An absolute muppet. Now be fair- he made his dog a small fortune.

However, a sensible and balanced way of looking at things is that Birmingham and Portsmouth have both been bought and bankrupt by foreign convicted criminals. Darlington got bankrupted by a crook who was very much English.
Chelm Canary 404 Posted March 19, 2021 When he managed QPR I recall Redknapp bringing in Samba and sticking him on 100k a week. The numerous other journeymen he brought in were questionable. He built a team on the basis of signing expensive journeymen and misfits and as a result remained in the bottom 3 for pretty much the entire season. He's a dreadful manager and what's worse he doesn't seem to care.
