pete 319 Posted April 16, 2019 We have a healthy goal difference which could have been crucial however expect it to evaporate over the last two fixtures. Unless Ipswich want to play for pride expect huge scores for Sheff Utd and Leeds. This would be Lambert's ultimate up yours to City. Let's ensure goal difference is irrelevant. Petriix 2,835 Posted April 16, 2019 (edited) If we drop enough points for goal difference to become relevant then it would obviously get worse in relation to our rivals. However, we just need to match [Sheffield] Utd's results on Friday and Monday. Edited April 16, 2019 by Petriix

Hope they won the big derby against Erpingham Athletic.
keelansgrandad 6,679 Posted April 16, 2019 The fact that is unchallenged is that we do have a superior goal difference. If we win then it doesn't get any worse and if we win it becomes totally irrelevant.

Surprisingly results do not suggest huge wins for Leeds and Sheff. Utd. As bad as theyve been this season, Ipswich have not let in more than 3 goals in a match all season, whereas City have shipped in 4 on at least 2 occasions (albeit scoring 3 in return). Their biggest defeats have been 3-0, 3 times in 42 matches (one of those against City of course), but considering their woeful season, thats not very many in truth. But yes, we should not be looking to goa difference to settle things, points are way more important.
Well b back 3,207 Posted April 16, 2019 Op assuming you are correct I have 3 questions for you 1. Following your logic would Sheffield Wednesday not just lay down to stop Sheffield United. 2. Are Ipswich players not playing to even be part of their squad next season ? 3. If Ipswich get some hammerings is PL not likely to get the sack ? I pray that you and all these others with negative attitudes do not attend FCR on Friday night as the only thing that can stop us is negativity.

Another attention seeking post. Our healthy goal difference is only crucial if we're level on points with someone, we're not. Whether it evaporates over the last 2 games is irrelevant as we'll already be up. Based on the fact that 1p5wich haven't been hammered this season, I'm not expecting huge scores for Blades and Leeds. Next.
