Yellow 63 - it just demonstrates how bad our results have been when some people are getting excited because we only lost by one goal! If, like Palace last night, we''d beaten the European Champions, then we''d have something to be proud about.

This is the first time I have really had a chance to listen to this (away Saturdays there is too much going on in the house to concentrate!) and wow, what a treat, laughed from start to finish, especially the guy who stated he sat in the lower barclay and that all people who didn''t support Nigel etc were muppets

Pete, can I rename myself as Miss Piggy?

What fantastic comedy though, shame I haven''t caught it before, will have to tape it now, or get Meeky to tape it for me (as we can''t listen via the internet I guess we can''t listen to Canary Call after it has happened. Does anyone know if this is so?

Its a bl**dy nightmare at the moment.

Yes we do have the squad to surgest that we can be better than Sheffield Utd and Reading. And to be fair Reading didn''t look anything when they came here. They certainly don''t look Prem Standard!

Half of me wants Worthy out and a New Start with a Big name manager, pushing for promotion B4 christmas and the transfer window. Worthys record over the last 2 seasons hasn''t been great, with this seasons tally a joke. Inearly want to lose the next 3-4 games so that he resigns

The other Half wants worthy to stay on, but only if we improve to the championship standard that I know we can play. Its all about confidence, a winning run and injuries.

Neil Adams is a good comintator and post match host. He is a bit defencive of the team. And yes we did paly well against Birmingham, BUT WE LOST AGAIN.

If we play like that against 9/10ths of the Championship sides we will win.

THE PROBLEM IS WE DON''T

Yeah it''s amazing how fickle fans can be. Although I thought we did well from the sound of it, one match does not make a season, and for a large portion of this season, and much of last, we''ve been absolute rubbish.

thinking about things this morning it seems even more crazy as previous posts state how can people get that excited about losing 2-1 to alower prem team which we were last year and neil adams is just a fence sitter when it comes to slating worthy etc

why is everybody so bothered about losing to a prem side in the carling cup. IMO it was good listening.

We gave a few youngsters a run out, which they responded well to, would have been amazing if Rossi had of scored.
We gave a very promising performance against a very strong prem side.
We got no injuries.

its all fine with me. Saturday is what counts

I think most of us have no problem accepting defeat as long as we can see total commitment from the team and this is what has been lacking in recent matches.  Let''s face it as Norwich fans we are hardly unaccustomed to seeing our team lose but if the performance and effort are up to scratch then we  can accept it.

I wonder if we are struggling under the weight of expectation this season as we have been woeful against some teams we would be expected to beat, yet last night in a game against a strong Brum side where few would have expected much from us, we put in a much improved performance.

Last night''s Canary Call? GUFFAW! HAR! HAR! HAR!...........

More like: "There will now be a political broadcast- by the Worthington Must Stay Party"........

I accept that the team played better than the ''refuse'' I had the displeasure to witness at Looting & Quiche Pork Rambler''s. But Hey! Boremingham are not exactly in the attic with "Da Big Boyz!". Positives; Henderson played in a position where he doesn''t have to stand around like a little boy lost, and also, Henderson didn''t have to stand around like a little boy lost.....To be fair, I was encouraged by the display, although I''m still not erm'' really that convinced. But, we should beat Wednesday on Saturday.... "One swallow, (or a large turkey!) doth not fill my stomach!" and I reiterate, I''m still ''not convinced'' that we will make the play-offs.

We are lacking in certain department''s, but why are we after Linvoy at Pompey? It''s MIDFIELD, and extra serving staff in the Cathedral lounge bar- where we need to strengthen! I''m just so peeved off with our current plight- and my humour is starting to wane......

I had a dream last night, that there was a mass protest outside of the City Stand. People were chanting: "What do we want?!" - "We''re not quite sure!?" - "When do we want it!?" - "Well, um, er'' now-ish!?" Then without warning! trumpeteer''s heralded the arrival of the "Messiah!" A XXL Sedan chair - supported by 18 burly eunuch''s, and adorned with garlands of £50.00 notes, came ramblin'' down the road with a flashing neon sign with: "R G CARTER for all your building requirement''s!" mounted above it. Seated in the creaking chair, was none other than "ROBERT CHASE!" "Hello people!" he bellowed. "I''m back to rescue your failing club!".......Everyone froze.....a stunned silence, then suddenly a young fan shouted: "MY DAD SAY''S YOU''RE NOT THE MESSIAH - YOU''RE A VERY NAUGHTY BOY!" the crowd broke into fits of laughter, and immediately Chase''s smile turned into a deep frown......Then, from around the corner of the Barclay, appeared 20 or so ''Riot Police in full gear, and all mounted astride Yellow and Green rocking horses?'' Once again the crowd fell silent and, were very afraid....."FEAR NOT, OH CITY FAITHFULL!" came a female voice from the window above the player''s entrance "IT IS I WHO CALLED THE SCUFFERS!" the crowd looked up to see DELIA, with her NCFC scarf wrapped around her neck. Her voice softened: "Mr Chase you''re not welcome around here anymore- and Norfolk Constabulary are here to escort you out of the City. NOW LETS BE HAVIN'' YOU AND CLEAR OFF!" Applause rang out, and the subdued and forlorn Chase was escorted away from the ground...."PETE I WON''T ASK YOU AGAIN! ARE YOU GONNA GER'' UP AND TAKE THE DOG OUT?" I subconsciously heard through my slumber.... I then thought: "My name isn''t Pete! and we haven''t got a dog!.......Oh dear! it isn''t my gaff!!! FLAMIN'' WHISKY - it always bleedin'' does this to me!

And the moral of this ramblin'' story? Don''t ask me I haven''t a clue and I don''t know what I''m on about? (any trickcyclists on the forum?)  I''m just so fed up with all the bitchin'' & ''keyboard madness'' currently on show! I also drank a bottle of whisky last night and my heads a bit fuddled, and although&nb

I think that the point about no injuries is the main thing to take out of last night.  Realistically the game meant very little other than to try and boost confidence slightly.  A cup run is always nice but at the moment full focus on the league is what''s needed.

We can take positives out of this one brum had a very strong side out last night.dont forget they went to arsenal and only lost out in the last 10mins of the match on there day they are a good match for most prem sides. We did not have our best side out neither and after the last two games confidence was never going to be very high so all in all not a bad nights work for restoring confidence and pride to take home for sheff wed must win match.Didnt really fancy this competition this year never going to have a strong enough squad for this and the leaugue. Now lets hope we get a string of matches undeafeated and start climbing the table and no more bloody injuries.
