Just heard on the radio over here that wes has defied his parent club to train with the Irish squad ahead of Sundays game v England......anyone know more?

Yep, storm in a teacup i reckon, mind you the Irish press love to bring up Wes being denied his ''big move to Villa''....and love to remind everyone how badly he was treated by us. Bet he''s glad he stayed tho. A sublime play off final versus getting dismantled by Arsenal in the Fa cup, no brainer.

Can''t see where this is coming from McNally clearly said after the Wembley game that some players are going away to play for their country. How do you represent your country without training with them?

Of course the club would prefer our players to have a rest rather than play on during the summer, but they would not have placed an order on the players to do so.  O''Neill doesn''t even say there was an order. This isn''t even a storm in a teacup. Its a non story.
