  1. Korey Smith being heavily linked with Wolves so could be lining up against us next season, been Oldham captain this season. Tom Adeyemi won young player of the season at Birmingham ahead of Callum Reilly who has been linked with Prem clubs. Two players that we could end up really regretting saying goodbye to if we don''t get a promotion, to add to Chris Martin. Ridiculous that we didn''t get a penny for any of them, three young players who will be having good careers at this level.
  2. This is why I read this forum for years without posting, on other football forums you would have been deleted by now.
  3. That''s you admitting it then. You referred to Watford as "we" in January 2014. You joined this forum in April 2014 and started slagging off all our players. Turner, Bennett, and Hooper I have seen myself. You know what you are (a rent boy). What kind of Norwich fan calls Watford "we" and slags off Michael Turner?
  4. Jaemae2 is a Watford fan (thanks Google!)... "Class act, that letter is heartbreaking. It''s obvious he (Zola) truly cared for the club (Watford) and seems truly saddened about the recent results. I completely fear for this season now, hopefully whoever comes in can gel with the players which I''m not sure about at all. Onto the rest of the season though" "We (Watford) aren''t getting many goals from Strikers and people are idiotically downplaying a goal scoring midfielder (McGugan).... It''s straight mental incompetence. He''s not perfect, but I''m not surprised it''s the specific posters saying really dumb things..". Strange that a Watford fan would want to come on here and slag off Norwich players. Is it because he is jealous we are getting Malky you think?
  5. 19 goals in 35 games for a team at the bottom of the Championship in his last season in this league when he was just 21/22.
  6. Gary Hooper will be one of the top 2 or 3 strikers in this league next season.
  7. Russell Slade has reached the play off final after having his budget cut by £400,000 this season, which is a huge amount for a team like Leyton Orient.
  8. That''s not very pleasant, don''t expect to be told to f off just for putting a name forward. All three of those names are more appealing than Neil Adams to me. What''s wrong with Russell Slade? Leyton Orient have a tiny budget and yet he has achieved 7th, 7th, 20th, 3rd. People cry out for a Lambert type manager but seem to forget where we got him from and his relatively obscure status at the time.
  9. Russell Slade has to be worth a look? Play off final with Leyton Orient after finishing 3rd, also two 7th place finishes. Not sure why our next manager has to be unemployed, we managed to grab Lambert from Colchester.
  10. If Malky isn''t excited enough with a return to Norwich then maybe we should go and grab a manager from a lower Champs or League 1 team? Sure there are good managers who would walk to Norfolk to take over one of the title favourites and the likes of Snodgrass, Redmond and Hooper in the team. Is it because Malky is the cheap/free option? We don''t fancy shelling out a bit of money on Eddie Howe then, or whoever it is that has somehow managed to get David Mooney to score 19 goals?
  11. Sorry should say.... 14 days since we were all but relegated against Chelsea.
  12. Since we were all but relegated against Chelsea, am getting slightly worried that the board is being indecisive again. Is all well and good admitting that they messed up by failing to sack Hughton in January, but surely in the five months that have since passed they would have a pretty good idea of who they wanted to appoint? When we sacked Gunn on 14th August it was just four days before Lambert resigned from his position at Colchester. Getting a bit concerned that our ability to keep players happy and at the club is being damaged with every passing day, those players who are probably waiting to see who we appoint before deciding whether to remain with us or seek a move will be getting itchy feet? We really need to get somebody in as quickly as possible, I fear that if we haven''t got anybody by early June people like Tettey would have made their minds up - only saving grace is that transfer business usually starts a bit later in World Cup years.
  13. I bet this is going to be a highly contentious post and some of you will have some strong opinions on this subject, because all three are obviously very talented players and have done the business in previous campaigns, but I think these three should be the first to the exit. Apart from out of contract and loan players who we don''t want to retain of course. Can only really speculate but I get the feeling that these three have become ''bad eggs''. Not sure about others, bit torn on Van Wolfswinkel although he is probably one who the club will want to get off the wage bill so may not even need to discuss him. What Hoolahan did in January was unforgiveable, and Pilkington has gone missing when we needed him what''s up with that? Bassong has been nothing short of the worst captain we have had since Fotheringham. Weren''t really his fault that he got the armband but he will forever be remembered as Hughton''s man now and I just don''t think his heart is in it. All three have talent and are good enough for the Premier League when on form, and I''ve enjoyed all three in the past, but just personally feel it is time for them to move on. Not sure about Garrido and Becchio, depends who the new manager is and whether he likes them as players I suppose? Any thoughts?
  14. Lambert lost the plot at Villa, no good letting him dine off past glories.Let''s get a manager on the up. We tried this before with Walker and it didn''t go well, even his best players at Villa were there before he arrived apart from Benteke and Vlaar.
  15. Didn''t we learn our lesson when we signed "the best keeper in Australia" who was so bad on his debut he had to change his surname?
  16. Can we sell them Bassong, Hoolahan and Pilkington?
  17. He should be in instead of Foster who didn''t fancy England games for two years. Ruddy has turned up to all the squads and sat on benches and is shunned for a part timer. Not fair on the man.
  18. Read some interesting quotes by Tony Pulis on Dwight Gayle. Pulis actually tried to sell or loan Gayle in January according to the media. Here is the quote: "When I first came to the club Dwight was the marquee signing. We''d spent a lot of money on him and it looked like he had the weight of the world on his shoulders in lots of respects," he told Palace''s official website "He wasn''t really integrated into the group and he looked a bit on the fringes, so we spent a lot of time opening him up as a person and a player. "He''s become a lot closer to the group and his mates in the dressing room. He didn''t need the pressure, we took that away from him and he''s improved immensely." We ourselves have got a couple of strikers who have had the weight of the world on their shoulders all season, both big money signings who have needed to do the business. Perhaps this is how Van Wolfswinkel has felt all season, and does this show that Pulis is a good man manager, but under Hughton the pressure was always too high on individuals?
  19. Think he showed that we really lacked a player with pace up front under Hughton. Adams has come in and played Redmond up front, and now Loza, we look so much more dangerous with a fast striker. Think we need to buy one, no point in getting too excited about Loza. Youth can play its part but we need to buy some proven experienced pros to replace outgoing players. Thing is even Hooper and Van Wolfswinkel may look fast in the league below.
  20. We are all guessing of course and not our job to say who stays or goes or who comes. Of all our strikers then one who must stay is Hooper, think he will score 25 in Championship.
  21. Think he plays on left wing mainly for Celtic not up front. If Hoolahan and Pilkington are offski then maybe we do need a left footer who can score goals.
  22. Very good player but think he would get a prem team or team in another country who play in europe. If our next manager is lennon then maybe, but if it isn''t then no chance.
  23. We support with our wallet, the club has to deliver the results. Great fans us lot. #otbc
