  1. Oh well, was not unexpected. We owned the stadium, but ultimately the Rams got what they wanted - Jimmy G throwing the ball, and throwing the interception to end our season. Hopefully that’s his last game as a 49er, time to move on to our new dual threat QB who also doesn’t throw an IT every game.
  2. Meanwhile Donald is feeling the heat, so he's "punching back" according to his supporters.
  3. Well the Bengals did just that, made him look very ordinary in the 2H and Icarus like in OT. That’s one hell of a bounce back for Cincy, I bet Cleveland are super jealous they got Burrow.
  4. This is the insanity that President Biden is dealing with.... not even a semblance of adherence to the truth.
  5. I swear you must have missed this post Swindon. Any thoughts about why the UK is performing so badly v’s the EU, US and Japan? Exports are down approximately 25% and not climbing - why could that be? And the different trajectories of imports (slow recovery) v exports (stalled) says the UK trade deficit must also be increasing which spells major trouble ahead for the Pound. Is this the expected behavior of “the most open economy in Europe” that the government claims it to be?
  6. Back to the subject ... two charts. Irrefutable evidence that Brexit is the cause of the UK's economic woes. Everyone else has also had Covid, only the UK has imposed Brexit restrictions on itself.
  7. That’s for sure. And if you read that report - or even just look at the embedded charts (UK is pink line in first chart and yellow line in the others) it’s a damning indictment of this government’s mis-management of the economy. Worst economic contraction, lowest consumer consumption, highest government expenditure, collapsing trade - but hey “our growth is the best” blah blah.
  8. Indeed we should. To be fair the IMF suggest UK GDP growth in 2022 will be 4.7%, compared to the revised US forecast of 4% but less than the original US 5% forecast, but you also have to take “growth” in the context of “existing” activity. So some information that puts UK GDP growth into context - see the first chart of this article https://www.brookings.edu/blog/up-front/2021/12/08/a-most-unusual-recovery-how-the-us-rebound-from-covid-differs-from-rest-of-g7/amp/ https://www.imf.org/en/Countries/GBR https://www.imf.org/en/Countries/USA
  9. Ah GDP stats, if the UK economy has recently been performing the worst of any in the G7, it would also have more room for GDP growth ….(mathematically its denominator is smaller) And in similar reporting the IMF says the US economy, (despite already being larger than pre-pandemic - the UK certainly isn’t) will grow at 4% in 2022, about twice as much as is being claimed for the UK above. So let’s just say the case for the UK economy being the best in the G7 is not yet proven?
  10. Well now that the children had had their fun pretending to give a damn about journalistic standards, why is Murdoch and his network pushing Putin’s propaganda?
  11. That's funny I don't remember it working that way when Teresa May stepped down... ???
  12. Give me Saturday’s games all day long. It isn’t playoff football if it isn’t a defensive slugfest. Of all the teams that won, the Rams were the most unimpressive to me. A total meltdown. Bills v Chiefs would have been a pretty good Monday Night Football game, (or Texas Tech v LSU college football game) but it was also shocking defense on both sides.
  13. Oh boy, “It’s not the disaster announced” is not the same as “it’s going well” Swindon. We can all clearly see that the country was sold a pack of lies, and it very obviously is not going well. Looking forward to your German media quotes.
  14. Vladimir Putin being the poster child for most aggressively resisting "wokeness" no doubt.
  15. And if it is those two, the Niners are the underdogs this time around. Just like the first SB we met in. Of course we did have Joe Montana at QB. I really doubt that he'd have thrown an interception with a receiver this open.
  16. Toobin was the idiot who did that. Not I. But even so I think most women can differentiate between icky behavior and setting out to destroy civility, truth and democracy.
  17. That was not a denial Swindon, and now a further admission there could be a second referendum. You are on a roll today... and the Express going into attack mode shows that the Brexit community is getting very worried that it's all unravelling.
  18. Te he... someone getting very worries obviously.... Liz Cheney calling him out is wonderful... but the fact that one the two main political parties in the US is calling for retribution as its only publicly declared policy is VERY worrying.
  19. Starting to get interesting ... Barr resigned the same week as the secret "grab the ballot boxes" memo. The memo revealed in the cache of documents Trump tried to hide but all but one of the Supreme Court Justices said "no you can't" The one who said "yes you can" - Clarence Thomas - would appear to have a teeny weeny conflict of interest in that his wife may have been deeply involved in the Jan 06 activities and threatening the two GOP investigation members. And who would "she/her" mean in Trump's draft order when referring to a Special Counsel - Kraken lady?
  20. Compared to deliberately setting out to destroy civility, truth and democracy, yeah that’s a real problem.
  21. Well I’ll take it as a measure of progress that Swindon is admitting that we could rejoin the EU.
  22. Fook'n heck, both #1 seeds knocked out by game ending field goals. And well done to the Niner's special team's coach - pay raise coming for you and your team sir!
  23. psst ... don't tell Iwan but CNN fired Chris Cuomo.... Fox on the other hand keeps promoting race baiting, democracy hating, rich kid Tucker Carlson.
  24. Russia, obviously believes they can blackmail the UK government. There fixed it for you RTB.
  25. It's everyone from Crystal Palace down who are in the relegation mix. Three wins ahead of us as of today, but we play them next. Brentford are the most vulnerable to fall potentially as they are in poor form and have played the most games of anyone in the bottom half of the table.
