  1. I do live in that country. I see what the ex-president has done and I care because : I have homes in the US and UK, and family in both US, UK and mainland Europe. I have benefitted greatly (not just financially) from freedom to trade, travel, speak. I see what the ex-president brought with him to American politics, corruption, race baiting, subservience to dictators like Putin, Xi and even more unbelievably Kim. I see that the former-president is intent on becoming the next president again, and he has one of the two major American political parties following in his footsteps THAT is why I care, and THAT is why you should care about fascists taking control of the US and the UK. I care about my wife and son's and daughter's future, and you should too.
  2. That's your world view then? Who cares? Every son and daughter of every soldier, sailor and airman, every factory or farm worker who fought this kind of aggression 80 years ago cares ... that's who.
  3. What happens when a wannabe fascist "explains" our Christian values....
  4. What happens when a wannabe fascist "explains" a hostile takeover....
  5. What happens when a wannabe fascist "explains" history ....
  6. A Rasmussen poll … but of course. Just ignore.
  7. If you can’t see Carlson and most of the rest of the Fox News crowd for what they are, that’s your problem, no one can help you with that.
  8. A good cover story for a propagandist, eh?
  9. I wish her a swift recovery and good health. But when the inevitable happens, I hope that her successor decides to stand up and speak out for truth and honor and keeping your promises. Her silence on all matters political has been seen as a strength, I'm sorry I believe it has been her greatest weakness not to use the real powers she has as Monarch to lead the nation.
  10. Hum, can't find anywhere there where it says he's a journalist. The evidence for being a propagandist and shill for authoritarians like Putin is very clear.
  11. The Russians may force their way into Kyiv in a few days but it will not be easy and the Ukrainian people will resist. Ukranians are not Russians, and it is yet to be seen what internal resistance there will be in Belarus too, Luskashenko is despised by his population so an invasion that includes Belarus troops could finally bring him down. Putin may be severely underestimating how hard and drawn out a Ukraine invasion will be, everyone who would celebrate being "liberated" is already on his side... will be interesting to see which way the Chinese come down on this issue.
  12. Meanwhile the GOP is moving further into pro-Putin territory..... Of course these are the self-declared "Patriots" of "real Americans"
  13. Tucker Carlson is not a journalist. He is at minimum what the Russians call "a useful idiot" He definitively is a propagandist and very possibly a Russion collaborator, time will tell on that (and for your information Fox News has repeatedly claimed in lawsuits not to be a "news" outlet but "entertainment" to avoid being liable for defamation or libel)
  14. Well no point watching the extended EPL highlights on YouTube either, as the editorial geniuses there not only didn’t show the Alisson incident, they didn’t show either of Pukki’s first half chances either.
  15. There are some - like former Republican Congressman Joe Scarborough and current Congresswoman Liz Cheney who are prepared to fight for their party, but they are far too few.....
  16. Meanwhile, for those pushing back on the storyline that "it's all about Russian interference" well here's yet more evidence for you : it really is, and the RWNJs in the UK and US - such as Rupert Murdoch and his multi-national media empire - are fully bought in.
  17. The Clinton storyline is just a dead cat distraction from Trump's growing legal, financial corruption and national security violation woes. Fox has 1.4 million viewers you say - from a population north of 350 million. OK. The "but her e-mails" crowd have gone awfully quiet about that subject....
  18. Oops.... a fresh (delay tactic) appeal to the Supreme Court is in the works then? Apparently the Judge was having nothing to do with his lawyer's "argument" ex-Presidents are a "protected class" and so can't be required to testify or sit for depositions.
  19. It’s not the imports from the EU that have collapsed, it’s the exports from the UK that have. Hence we have a rapidly growing trade deficit to deal with as well as layoffs and bankruptcies on top of all the tax increases.
  20. But Brexit is two things, first political decoupling (the nonsensical but very emotional part) and second economic decoupling (the much more important part). So he can finesse “keeping Brexit” by minor tweaks to the first part while re-integrating the UK with the main EU economies.
  21. Such a move to the center / economic reality is clearly never going to come from these stuffed shirts. An entire generation of entitled by birth, head in the sand, ignore reality, "I'm all right jack", "one rule for us another for you" pack of liars. Eaton, Oxford and Cambridge must be so proud of them.
  22. Which is exactly the "economic integration without the political integration" position. Of course the included "freedom of movement" letting foreigners back in will still be an issue for some.
  23. Jam tomorrow then eh Swindon? Of course moving from roast beef to jam sandwiches is a bit of a letdown, but hey "Repatriating our Sovereignty" and all that...
