  1. I considered Hoolahan but felt Taraabt edged it. Also felt McGugan and King just shaded it. However, why are we still analysing my team? Just interested in other people''s teams.
  2. Alright, on reflection, i would put Bothroyd in instead of Holt. This post wasn''t designed to annalyse my team, i just wanted to know what everyone else''s would be.
  3. What is everyone else''s team of the season so far. Ill start by giving my team... Camp R.Martin Morgan Hudson Hill Pratley Sinclair Gradel Taarabt Graham Holt Subs: De Vries Chambers Crofts King McGugan Bothroyd Becchio Manager - Paul Lambert (Or Malky Mackay for what he has done with the resources he has got)
  4. On a serious note, Watched Celtic vs Rangers today and couldn''t help but notice that Glenn Loovens wasn''t even in the squad. Could he be the experienced defender we are after? Remember he was very good for Cardiff and i recall him being named man of the match when they lost to Portsmouth in the FA Cup. Just a suggestion but would be delighted if it happened.
  5. To be honest, i don''t think any of the current top 6 are immune from falling into 7th. QPR - can''t believe how most pundits keep saying it will be QPR and one other. Struggling away from home as of late (Drew with Preston who are bottom!!!) and are still yet to go on a bad run, which i think they inevitably will. FOREST - IMO they are the least likely to fall out of the top 6 and have a fantastic home record. Don''t consede many and are in fantastic form. SWANSEA - On a good run as of late and like Forest, have a formidable home record. Consede very few. CARDIFF - Very inconsistent but still win games NORWICH - Score lots but worryingly consede just as many. However, our away form is fantastic this season. Like QPR, are we due a bad run? Do feel a striker on loan is vital. LEEDS - Much like us, score goals but consede in equal amounts. Have lost once in 19 now i believe. LEICESTER - Current form is very impressive and have used the loan market very wisely. Home formunder Sven is good. BURNLEY - Would be naive to rule out them at this stage. Eddie Howe is doing a brilliant job there but there run in is very difficult. This is my prediction for the top of the table and at this stage is pretty much a guess as it is too close to call. 1. Forest 2. Swansea 3. QPR 4. Norwich 5. Leicester 6. Cardiff 7. Leeds 8. Burnley
  6. Yes, Bebe was useless today however Crawley striker Matt was superb today and looks like he could certainly do a job for us. Wouldn''t imagine he would cost to much in the summer.
  7. Worth putting in a bid for Matthew Tubbs of Crawley in the summer? He was brilliant against Man U tonight.
  8. Lambert has said that Gill''s loan would not be extented beyond the original month. Mentioned somewhere on BBC''s i think
  9. I do now feel Lambert is forced to go and get some one now seeing as we only have Holt, Wilbraham and Jackson. Here is a list of potential players... Fabio Borini (Chelsea) Conor Sammon (Wigan) - signed from kilmarnock recently and not playing. Was close to joining Derby i recall Zavon Hines (West Ham) - could also be utilised on the wing as i do believe he is very fast. Brett Ormerod (Blackpool) Simon Cox (West Brom) Kevin Phillips (Birmingham) Freddie Sears (West Ham) Robbie Blake (Bolton) Matt Derbyshire (Birmingham) Nathan Delfouneso (Villa) Marlon Harewood (Blackpool) - linke with loan move recently John Fleck (Rangers) Any of these would IMO
  10. Currently on loan at sampdoria I believe. Would never happen anyway.
  11. Would be the most likely cantidate at the moment seeing as Lambert did say the defender coming in would provide cover for the other two. Was captain for Blackpool under Simon Grayson and played a part in their promotion campaign, so he knows what it takes to get out of this league. Good signing in my opinion.
  12. I know this is slightly different, but looking through list of free agents, i noticed former leeds player Rui Marques. Probably not good enough to be a regular but wouldn''t be a bad squad player until the end of the season in case of emergency.
  13. Back to the original question... IF Leicester do get a top 6 finish, who of the current six do you think will miss out on the play - offs? My guess is Leeds. And i do mean GUESS, cos it is so tight at the moment.
  14. However much of an influence Yakubu may of had on the squad (and yes he is definetly to good for the championship), one player dosn''t make a team. Leicester do have some real quality players e.g. King, Bamba, Naughton who could certainly beat any championship team without Yakubu. Mind you as i write this, its now 1 - 1, so panic over.
  15. Currently 1 - 0 up at home to Bristol City. If the result stays the same, they are just 4 points of second. I now feel they are real contenders for 2nd maybe even 1st if they carry on the form they are on. If they are to get play-offs or auto promotion, which of the current top 6 will miss out on the play - offs?
  16. In my opinion, this game has draw written all over it. Formidable home record vs superb away record. Given the attacking style of both teams i would have to say 2 - 2. Somma and Snodgrass for them. Grant Holt and a first goal for Aaron Wilbraham late on for us!
  17. Here is a list of potential (realistic) options... Jody Craddock (Wolves) - not really played this season but is very much proven at this level. Stuart Parnaby (Birmingham) - dosn''t play and again is proven at this level. Wes Brown (Man U) - bit ambitious but has only played in 5 league games this season. Tony Hibbert (Everton) - Normally a right back but could play centre back i would imagine. Pablo (West Brom) - not playing for them. Habib Beye (Villa) - linked with loan move recently. Jonathan Spector (West Ham) - only really played in cup games. Danny Gabbidon (West Ham) - not a regular starter for them. Sol Campbell (Newcastle) - maybe but would think wages are much to high for us. Any of these would in my opinion would be a fantastic signing!
