1. hm i see what you''re saying but he''s dramatically reduced the average age of the squad since he''s been at the club.
2. According to many fans former GK coach Dean Kiely and Ryan Bennett were posting derogatory comments on twitter about the new regime at NCFC, this isn''t a problem in of itself but apparently Ben Godfrey was ''liking'' them. Such a shame.
3. Does anyone know if tickets will be available at the ground for the game tomorrow? Can''t seem to purchase any online. Thanks
4.
he''s also a world cup winner with 29 goals in 88 apps for Germany. He has also won the German national team player of the year Maddison can''t play for Germany, he has played competitively for England.
yeah and England are a much harder team to get into than Germany. if he had a german grandparent he could still switch allegiance. He has not played in a competitive game England.
5. don''t see it myself. Ozil has consistently been one of the most underrated players in the prem and has the most assists in the prem (since he joined) he''s also a world cup winner with 29 goals in 88 apps for Germany. He has also won the German national team player of the year 5 times and got the most assists at a world cup and a euros. Madders is obviously a very talented player for, but Ozil has finished in the top 20 of the Ballon D''or three times. Can''t really compare value either as Ozil is 29. somewhat ironically with Ozil being bad in the air he scored a header against us in 2013 I believe.
6. Really felt for him today, thought his touch let him down a couple of times but was extremely unlucky not to get a goal due to a great save. I know a lot of people have also questioned his attitude but the way he sprinted on to the pitch after the equalizer showed how much he cares about being an NCFC player.
7. Go. GK: Ruddy RB: Martin CB: Fleming CB: Mackay LB: Drury CDM: Holt LM: Huckerby RM: Redmond CAM: Hoolahan ST: Holt ST: McKenzie
8. Gives away a penalty on his Rangers debut... Dubious circumstances I will add.
9. The reality is will clubs want to take these players and will the players want to leave? If you''re naismith on 40k a week and you get offered 6k a week to play in Scotland you''re probably not gonna move are you?
10.
Could''ve at least got his name right.
glad you have a lot of insight on the matter. Thanks.
11. Following his signing of a one year deal he has opted to go on a summer loan deal to the icelandic premier league. I really admire this commitment in having no off-season for the young guy. He has put in a few stellar performances for the under 23''s and I think he could have a good future here.
12. Naismith got 2 assists last week and laid Maddison''s goal on a plate for him. Irvine is playing for his future too so is picking in his mind the best XI every week.
13.

.......we have a horrendous record of turning Managers/Players that have been terrible elsewhere into club legends. Paul Lambert, has never got a club promoted before or after us. Grant Holt. Never played in a level higher than league 1 before us, flopped at Wigan, now struggles to get into the Hibs Team. Russell Martin, our leading appearance maker in the prem. Struggled to get into the Peterborough side. Steve Morison - Scored 10 goals in a prem season, spent majority of his career in league 1 or below, flopped at Leeds There are bound to be successes/failures at every football club. To suggest people only fail at Norwich is ridiculous. This is a non-thread and wasted my time reading it.
Grant Holt stuggling to get into the Hibs team might have something to do with the fact he is now 36.
well what about before he came to us/the seasons after. It''s not just about the current season but about every one in his career.

15. my solution is to have ANYONE who is interested in having the job. Alex Neil was brought in temporarily and he wasn''t great, but at least he wanted to be here. Something is wrong with the culture of a workplace when you have people in high up positions who aren''t arsed about results. It''s also not MY JOB to figure out what is best for the club, im not on the board, if you''re argument is honestly ''then you should run the club'' i don''t. that''s not my position, i bet you also try and say ''well you can''t do any better so yo can''t say anything'' when someone criticizes a player. You do not have to be an expert in something to realise the culture is wrong from top to bottom. I would rather have the carpet fitter in charge if he wanted to be there than have someone who was part of a regime which didn''t work, running our club who doesn''t want to be here.
16. I don’t think it will be me. I would expect the new sporting director, when he comes in, will have someone in mind,” said Irvine. “I couldn’t tell you when that would happen but it needs to happen sooner rather than later. I said right from the beginning I wouldn’t be using these games as a job application and I have been consistent. As soon as I heard it was going to be sporting director and head coach you immediately think that comes as a package. “I would be very surprised if the incoming sporting director wouldn’t have already lined up someone to get the job. I fully understand that. All I have been told is I would be in charge until Reading. We’ll see after that. If it changes between now and then I respect the club’s decision. “I didn’t come here to be the manager. I didn’t come here to be the caretaker manager. Caretakers should only have a limited time working with the team because players are talking about who is coming in, and the staff. It makes a difficult job even tougher. I think it would be better to resolve it quickly because whoever comes in has to assess the situation and then make decisions. There will be players out of contract or coming into option periods and someone needs to make a decision moving forward.” WHY THE HELL IS HE HERE? Why are we employing someone who clearly doesn''t have an interest in managing any part of the club? Why are we paying him a salary to do a job he''s not interested in? Why are we facilitating this?
17. you do realise alan irvine was our head coach under AN? what possibly is gonna be any different?
18. Scored today, think i''d have rather kept him than have Wildschut doing absolutely nothing.
19. Thought despite a terrible afternoon for everyone this little man was still another level for us. He was absolutely superb today and anything good that we produced came through him. When he was substituted he snatched a towel from AN and shook his head repeatedly. I honestly wonder where we''d be without him these past few seasons.
20. Only 10 games for Jerome as he missed Brum. 1 in 2 every game he''s played very good return
21. My take on the substitutions last night. As soon as mitrovic came on I was worried because of how good he is in the air, I thought Ry Ben would come into the fold because of his superior heading ability. I liked the switch to three at the back, I thought it was the right thing to do at the time. The ball was being bypassed over midfield and Wes wouldn''t have touched the ball. My only issue is that we had no pace for a potential counter attack. We were lumping it to Nelson who had no support largely. If we kept Jacob on or even had a fresh Josh instead of Brady it could have set us up better to counter.
22. Matt Ritchie 10 million Jonjo Shelvey 12 million Dwight Gayle 10 million Alexander Mitrovic 15 million Martin Olsson 2.5 million Sebastian Bassong 3 million Russell Martin 250k Ivo Pinto 2.2 million. Over 40k supporters at St James'' park tonight. We switched off at the back and it cost us. Keep the faith and never mind the danger!
23. Doesn''t get off the bench for Villa tonight and has mustered up 2 goals in 8 games for them this season. Maybe we dodged a bullet here?
24. really think you need to grow up. Nigel Clough is their manager btw.
