  1.   From the Pinkun article: He is definitely one of the best wide men in the world probably," said Doherty. !!!!!!! so is it probable or definite then???? How can it be both?
  2. Ok so we are hoping for a miracle! But in truth it is the other games this weekend that will be interesting to note. I am hoping for a draw between Brum and WBA. Loss to Palace at Manu Loss to Blackburn against Everton Loss to Portsmouth against Arsenal Loss to Fulham against Charlton Loss to Southampton against Spurs My guess is most of these will happen- which means we dont have to worry too much!
  3. I have said it before and will again. The Hammers fans (who all seem to live in this part of Essex) do NOT rate Harewood and would be glad to see him go. They ALL have said that he has: a) an attitude problem b) a tendency to be lazy c) not proved Prem class
  4. Not Norwich related as such but how ironic is it that Everton sold Rooney - the so called wonder kid- and then shot up the league?! He leaves for a supposedly better club but is now behind his old team mates in the league. And now Everton have cash to spend as well. Just shows that money isn''t everything- something worth considering come January. The Greeks proved it too in the Euro cup AND BOTH EVERTON AND GREECE PLAY 4-5-1 -AS WE DID V. BOLTON Stick with it Worthy- it works for the smaller fry
  5. mine was just that- a duplication of another thread! sorry- I couldn''t resist!
  6.  Why can''t people bother to read the the existing posts before starting new one on a subject that''s already been started, debated and more or less concluded That way we don''t keep going over the same thing time and time again Surely, given the level of general intelligence on here, this can''t be too difficult (or can it) There are currently numerous examples of this, the problem is getting worse and it''s a pain
  7. any money the baggies might have had will be withdrawn. As they are  bottom at Christmas they will be forced to look to relegation as a real possibilty. Had they been tenth it might have been a different story.
  8. let''s calm down and be nice... ...or I will kill you all!!!! lol: I reckon we can allow the man in the stands his opinion without getting so upset. If he doesn''t like these boards that is his problem. Why make it yours?? (Do I count as the ten percent with decent comments or a moron?)
  9. bit harsh to ask how doc will do with the Chelsea elite running at him. Same could be said for seventy five percent of all defenders in this league.
  10. My how tunes change! OK we had a fantastic result yesterday, and I also think we can avoid relegation... ....but it is NOT the forgone conclusion you make out. Brom have some good players and could still come good. Palace and Blackburn are on a par with us if we are honest Southampton could soar with Harry in charge Fulham have quality and are used to the scrap. It will be hard- very hard- but yes it is managable
  11. there is egg all over my pessimistic face...... .....but boy does it feel good...
  12. I hope you are joking. EVERY hammers fan I know tells me he is lazy, unreliable and can''t break into their team. He will add very little to what we have already
  13. I am not being negative but realistic old chum. Just trying to make sure people do not go in with oTT expectations then rant on here on Monday about the need for a £50m striker and board with bottomless pockets!
  14. forget the £7m it will be the £1m + Bentley + a.n.other thus the real issue is who the mystery man is- -if it is Lehman - forget it - it would not help us at all. We already have plenty of cover there and need something more exciting ! - bad business take more money instead - if it is an untried youngster the same applies. - but if we get a player who is better than we currently have- yes indeed it is sound business. But will we? Who? (Henry!!!lol) I doubt it! Little clubs tend to get shafted by the biggies. And I can just see us looking back in twelve months- Green England number 1- and thinking.... .....why did we let him go so cheap!
  15. we can hope for something- any result will be magnificent
  16. Where has everyone got £5m from- it will be 2 with extra depending on performance at a guess
  17. Just to say that Saturday is going to be amongst the toughest fixtures of the season for ten reasons 1) Bolton are on fire this season 2) They just lost and so will look to get it back 3) They are BIG bu**ers 4) They have height from set peices 5) We are carrying lots of injury and loss of Damien = big blow to midfield 6) Our defence will struggle against bullies 7) Theirs will be unlikely to worry much 8) Jay Jay Okacha (I am a big fan - oh to see him in yellow) 9) the ref will be looking to placate big Sam (see EDP story) 10) Confidence will be low after Fulham SO PLEASE DO NOT GET TOO MOANY IF AND WHEN WE LOSE: THE SEASON WILL NOT BE DECIDED HERE. (though it might be decided by dropped points against Palace, Blackburn etc....)
  18. I notice that the ref on Saturday has previous form with Bolton. He gave them nothing in a play off final and Allerdyce has never forgiven him. ....which means he must be looking to placate big Sam---and at whose cost might that be!! Here is betting they get some really dodgy decisions com Saturday
  19. hoy Flecky,Flecky Flecky,, Flecky, Flecky, Flecky Robert Fleck   hoy Flecky etc....repeat x 100
  20. All this Harry stuff got me thinking... ....who would you least like seeing move to the town?? For me it would be Hucks..or Worthy
  21. I am growing worried that people might do something rash due to short sightedness and disappointment. This time last year we would have given anything to be in the PREM even if we had only 50p to spend on players. Worthy was a hero and we were all so very happy. After perservering with Worthy- he learnt the ropes and mastered Div 1 But then we started from scratch. The whole team was below par (minus Green and poss Hucks) There really is a gulf in standard and finances. We knew (dreaming aside) things would be tough. And then as the realisation of loss hit home the grumbling started...the whispers of magic strikers who would resolve the many waeknesses...or was it a passing midfielder....or tall defender.....or...or...or.....   only a matter of time before the first seeds of Worthy out whispers came along. And this is my point: WORTHINGTON is a good manager- he is on a steep learning curve this season and he is bound to make the odd mistake. But if we sack him we take thirty paces back and with not much gain. He will then go to another club with what he has learnt this year and we will rue the day we lost him. And all cos we couldn''t cope with struggling a bit. So before blaming Worthy because we are a newly promoted side who are struggling to keep up with the rich clubs (thouhg not out of touch) THINK< We do not want to shoot ourselves in the foot- or fall on our swords- because we can only see to the end of this season as success/failure... ...the future is bigger. much bigger...if we can persist. Curbishley was naive in his first PREM season. I bet Charlton would be playing Crewe this Saturday, four useless managers later,  if they had sacked him as a result...
  22. or else the extra money was only ever going to materialise if we lookked safe by Christmas- which we do not!!
  23. people seem very optimistic on this one!! I think it will be tough- they have pressure to win as much as us...and some top players 2-2 is my guess- and i am not doing so bad in the prediction league!!
