  1. Cheers everyone. Appreciate it. Can sleep easy tonight after this evening''s statement :-)
  2. simo86 - don''t make me laugh. Gunn was one of the worst managers in our history, with our worst home defeat by his name.
  3. I didn''t make it up. Like I said, don''t shoot the messenger, it''s what I''ve heard. Hope it''s not true, but all this speculation means he must be going, as he could have killed the rumour when he had the chance this morning.
  4. Settle down. Do you think I would seriously say James if my friend was actually called James? I''m aware Norwich isn''t the biggest club so wouldn''t be hard to find the James who leaked this. I changed his name. He''s a friend, I''m not going to sell him down the river just to get replies on this website am I?! Come on.
  5. Edp/pinkun journalist said he''s also heard PL quit rumour, but is hearing all sorts of info, which all can''t be true. Good point.
  6. I''d happily see O''Neill here of PL went. Thing is, he left Villa because they wouldn''t let him spend any money. We are strapped for cash all the time, why would he come here?
  7. There is more than one James. It''s a fairly common name, you know. I know of three James'' that work at NCFC.
  8. After just asked an edp/pinkun journalist on Twitter if he''s heard anything about this. I fear it might be true.
  9. Heard this from a number of places. First heard it about half an hour ago from my friend James, who works at the club. Can''t really put his surname for obvious reasons. After hearing this I checked Twitter etc etc and rumours on there have started, that PL is quitting later today. Can''t tell you how much I hope this isn''t true. Although James tipped me off when Roeder was appointed so he got that one right.
  10. Don''t shoot the messenger, but am hearing that Paul Lambert will resign as Norwich manager later this afternoon. Really hope it''s not true and it''s not my intention to stoke the fire here. I''m a true fan and am not trying to get fans up in arms. It''s just what I''ve heard.
  11. Clearly this situation hangs in the balance. Only the blind optimists think that PL standing by his statements means the end of the matter. I''m keeping an eye on the official website this afternoon as have been told that their is news, just don''t know what that news is. My thinking is, he will be in dugout for the game tomorrow, but will resign tomorrow night, or Monday morning.
  12. This morning I expected to wake up, after a far from settled nights sleep, to read that either Paul Lambert hadn''t attended the press conference due to talks with Burnley, or he would come out and say ''I''m staying at Norwich''. He did neither of these things, as we all know. I don''t think he is using this as a bargaining tool, I think he is genuinely under pressure from family to move nearer them. If this family issue is going to follow PL throughout his career then why did he accept the job at Norwich in the first place? Not that I care about Colchester, but why did he go there too? Why not aim for a club up north in the first place? I''ve just seen Lambert on SSN and he didn''t give anything away. He could have said ''I''m staying'', but he didn''t. He could have killed all the speculation with two simple words, but instead, he stoked it up. As far as I''m concerned, by this time next week, he won''t be manager of Norwich City Football Club. All I can say is that at least we have McNally finding us a new boss, and not Doncaster.
  13. He''s as good as gone as far as I''m concerned. We know his usually sayings in situations like this ''I love it here'' etc. Why didn''t he say that this time? Maybe he no longer loves it here.
  14. simo86 - Your post gives me slight hope, but I still think he wants out of Norwich, mainly for non-football reasons.
  15. Why do you say ''Chill''?? The best manager Norwich have ever had is about to leave for Burnley. P.s. People who say stuff like ''chill'' really p*ss me off.
  16. Gutted as I am to say it, Lambert is as good as out the door as far as I''m concerned. O''Neil would be my one and only choice. The others are very much the same. Even Malky. He''s having a good season, but it''s too early for him to make the move.
  17. If I was to bet on where PL would be this time tomorrow, it would be in talks with Burnley. Only because having money on it would mildly soften the blow if he did leave. I think Burnley wouldn''t make this public if they didn''t think Lambert was interested. They''ve obviously been given the green light by someone, whether it be PL''s agent, Lambert himself. Who knows.
  18. Norwich have a pre-match press conference tomorrow morning. If Lambert isn''t there, we''ve lost our man. Fingers crossed he is. Will keep my fingers crossed all night.
  19. Darren Huckerby on Twitter: ''We''ve come out and said No, won''t make any difference if he wants to go! Burnley would''ve known that already, could destroy season!''. Fingers crossed he wants to stay. I would be so so gutted if he just walked out on us at this stage of the season. Burnley would have been told by PL''s agent that their was no point in trying to speak to him. Maybe the agent has indicated that this could be a goer.
