1. I never said anything about buying Ipswich players although as you''ve raised the subject, I personally wouldn''t want any of them playing for City. With regards Managers, we once made the mistake, and a very big mistake, of employing an ex Ipswich manager and if history has taught us anything then surely once is enough. Besides, IMO Royle & Burley, despite all their undoubted qualities, are not better, or even as good as Worthington
 2.
And pray tell where they''d have the money to buy him, they''re skint
Perhaps they''re going to swop SWP for him
 3.
Just a thought about comparing Worthington with the the three managers involved in relegation from the Premiership and the six managers involved in promotion from the Championship. If it were possib...
Can''t really see the logic behind this post as it is most unlikely that any of them would come to Norwich anyway, even if we wanted them, which I don''t think we do.  Perhaps McCarthy, Jewel and the 3rd promoted Manager will not sound as attractive in 12 months time when there is a realistic possibility that (a) those 3 will have been relegated and (b) Worthington will have got us another promotion. Six months ago, you wouldn''t have wanted Robson after his performance at Borough, in fact I recall that there was some glee in these parts when he took over at Albion. Royle and Burley are non starters for obvious reasons. Personally, I don''t like Dowies style and as for Wilson and Deehan, I think they''ve got a lot to prove. Let''s be honest here. Since Worthington took over we''ve had exciting seasons and we''ve always been in with a chance of actually achieving something special at the end of each season. OK, we haven''t always pulled things off and got the desired outcome but at least we''ve been in there at the death with a fighting chance. I''d much prefer this to the years of mediocrity that went before when for year after year our season finished when we got knocked out of the 3rd round of the FA Cup in January. I agree that Worthington does have his faults but name me one Manager that doesn''t. He''ll do for me
 4.
.....but what gives us hope is that: (a) Nigel has done it before (b) there is no need to sell players if he doesn''t want to (c) the side we still have walked the Championship in 03/04 and all but ...
Hi Tumbleweed I was not trying to be negative or spread any doom and gloom. I was just trying to put things in perspective before too many people get carried away. I honestly believe that we can do it but the point is it won''t be easy. Some people just seem to think that being the 19th best team in the Premiership means you are automatically the best team in the Championship. I can agree with first your reason as to why will we go back up but in all honesty I think your other arguments are seriously flawed. Yes I can see us scoring plenty of goals but what about our defence - this must be strengthend
 5. Yes I know, yesterday hurt big style and it ain''t got no better today. I suppose it''s a natural reaction to say "well we will just go straight back up next season" and I''ve seen plenty of posts on here conveying this very thought. Some seem to think it''s a mere formality and all we''ve got to do is turn up and we''ll win every game and get automatic promotion - if only it was going to be that simple. However, we should not under estimate the enormity of the task ahead. Firstly, it''s a long season in the Championship, you have to play a lot of games, very often two games a week, and this increases the risk of injuries, individual loss of form and fatigue. To coin a phrase, "there are no easy games" - every team in the Championship will be fighting for something - to get automatic promotion, to get in the play offs or to avoid relegation. Many of these games will be tough encounters - ok we maybe losing some of the divers but we''re gaining a lot of kickers. Being one of the most, if not the most, high profile Club in the Championship, every one will be out to beat us and you can bet your life that some teams will be trying just that little bit extra when they play us. It might also be difficult for some of our players to readapt to life back in the Championship - there''s a big difference from playing to big crowd every week at the best stadiums in the Country than to turning out in front of 6,000 people at an athletics track in Brighton.  Next season will all be about application and motivation. We''ve been up the ladder but we''ve now come down the snake and some players might not have the appetite to go through all that again. So less of this "dead cert" rubbish and a bit more realism please. After all, according to the bookies we were dead certs yesterday and a fat lot of good that did us.
 6.
Hang on a second, if we went with that then we would barley have any players left. And we already have a small squad. I no we could buy players but not that many!
So what do we do then - pay good wages to generaly incompetent/past it/not interested/basically worthless players and wait for 2006/7 or bite the bullet now ?
 7. Leicester, Reading, Sheff Utd, Stoke, Leeds, Coventry, Millwall, Hull - agreed Plus Palace and Saints, 3 of Ipswich/WHam/Preston/Derby plus Wolves Oh yeah, an absoloute doddle
 8.
watched the news the binners all lined up outside there dole office to get tickets for midweek one smart ars shouts out lets be having your place delia some chance they are such a bunch of tossers
Is thise a rekord four the knumber of speeling misstakes in won centance
 9.
Given how easily we walked Div one last time we should not have too much problem if the majority of the players stay. Fark the premiership. Fulhams clueless, gutless support sums up much that is wron...
Mad (aptly named) Dan Anyone who thinks the Championship will be easy next season had better think again. OK so the 2 others going down may have a few problems to sort out and may or may not be a threat - I tend to think that they will be. Then there''ll be 3 of the play off teams still in there next year. On top of that Wolves will be challenging and you can bank on Leciester and Leeds being more of a threat than they have been this season. Then there''s Reading who keep knocking on the door. I make that at least 9 teams who''ll make a serious challenge next season, there may well be more. IMO we will not be joining them if we do not undertake serious surgery.
 10.
I know everyone is upset but this is getting ridiculous. You have identified 9 players to definitely "Get Rid" off and identified Greeno & Francis to go if money comes in for them. Add to that B...
OK then Saint Canary - out of my "get rid" collection which ones would you keep ? Edworthy, Charlton, Flemming, Helveg, Doherty, Holt, Jonson, Francis, Bently, McVeigh, Mulryne ? Quite a choice, isn''t it. A bit like changing deck chairs on the Titanic. Interesting to see that in a seperate thread DDIM has echoed my sentiments with his team for the opening day next season - Ward Nosworthy Ward Shacks Drury Partridge  Ifill  Sidwell  Hucks Deano   Leon I don''t see too many of my "get rids" in this line up And besides, what continuity is it you want to see next season - poor defending, carrying players who are past it, picking players who don''t work hard enough or picking players who are simply not up to it. We have the backbone of a good team and this has been obvious over the last few weeks but we will not get out of the Championship by covering over the cracks. Time to move on.
 11. Green - did ok considering what was in front of him. Probably not as good as we once thought. Sell him if we get offered a good price. Edworthy - not good enough - get rid Charlton - ditto Helveg - despite reputation - ditto Doherty - was never going to be the answer and he isn''t, even for the fizzy league - get rid Flemmimg - was good in his day but that was 2 seasons ago. If Malky was not good enough, Flemming isn''t either - get rid Drury - still shows potential but should have been named Jury (it''s still out). Last chance to make the step up next season. Shackell - definite prospect but needs better partner Brennan - definite prospect for next season Holt - see Flemmimg Johnson - see Helveg Safri - did ok but one great goal doesn''t make a season. Could be better next year. Francis - what''s gone wrong ? - sell him if we get a good price. Bently - flatters to deceive and can''t shoot for peanuts - better options available ? Hucks - most consistent player again - will terrorise Championship defences. Keep at all costs. McKenzie - ditto Ashton - class act but will he want to stay. Still, if not we stand the make a sizeable profit now he''s proved himself in the Premiership. Svensson - a reasonable striker, scores a few goals. Keep for subs bench/injury back up Jarvis/Henderson - it''s now or never boys. Last chance saloon ? McVeigh/Mulryne - it was good while it lasted but it didn''t last long enough - get rid Worthington - some strange decisions/comments but probably just about worth another chance.
 12. Did anyone one else notice how poor we were in this area yesterday. Every corner, and we had a few, and most of the crosses were ballooned up in the air towards, or past the back post. Why do we never seem to hit corners & crosses with a bit of pace and at the more manageable height. It''s almost like the instruction has gone out to "miss the first man" and this then appears to be the only consideration - never mind that the ball misses all 22 players and comes down with ice on.  Surely one of the eleven professionals on the pitch, or one of the numerous people on the bench, should have spotted this after the first two or three and done something about it. I know Ashton is tall and McKenzie can jump, but Superman they ain''t. Still, I though we played ok for 30 minutes and looked the side most likely to score the next after Fulham scored their first. If the "push" on McKenzie had resulted in a rightful penalty, and the Ashton "goal" had been allowed (surely his "push" on the Fulham defender was mild compared to the one on McKenzie) we''d have been 2-1 up and it could have been a different story. When that 2nd goal went in, another dubious decision, I knew it wasn''t going to be our day. I''ve been a Norwich supporter for long enough (nearly 50 years) to always hope for the best but suspect the worst and yesterday was no different. After 2-0 it was never going to happen. OK so we chucked in the towel at 3-0 but in all honesty the writing was on the wall by then. My biggest regret apart from being relegated? - Not having a "saver" on WBA at 11/2 With regards relegation and the play offs, an interesting situation is developing. Clubs relegated - all from the South Clubs automatically promoted - both from the North Play Off Winners - Preston ?
 13. I hate football, I hate WBA, I hate Fulham, I hate bad Referees, I hate not getting justified penalties, I hate having perfectly good goals being dissallowed, I hate U- Boat, I hate Man U, I hate Chelski, I hate Ipswich, I hate Royle, I hate losing 6-0, I hate not being in the Premiership........................................................ Can''t wait for August though - I hate Cricket, Tennis, Golf and Athletics even more !!
 14. Do you know Kathy, in hind sight I think you''ve got a very good point
 15. Can''t help noticing that there''s a lot of natural yellow (oil seed rape, flowers etc) and green (trees, bushes etc) out there at the moment. Blimey, the whole Country is Yellow and Green. Perhaps it''s a omen ?
 16. Is the first part of the perfect weekend almost complete
 17.
Has any1 got a ticket 4 tomorrow please ring me on 07932881001. Thanks Tom.
A ticket for what ? Well, one stupid question deserves another
 18.
Anyone know where I can get odds on Norwich actually staying up? I see that Willhill has us a 50-1 on to go down. I know that it''s looking bad, but 50-1 on???
Paddy Power website has the following bets Odds to get relegated - WBA are 8/1 on Saints 5/1 on Palarse 4/1 on City 6/4 on Odds to stay up - City 11/10 against Palarse 5/2 against Saints 3/1 against WBA 9/2 gainst To finish bottom - WBA evens Palarse 11/4 Saints 3/1 City 7/1 Which ever way you look at it, with the bookies we are strong favourites to stay up. Possession is nine tenths of the law and we posses 17th position and our own destiny
 19.
JUST SEEN M GLAZER HAS WON HIS BID TO TAKE OVER MAN U
Typical Manure fans - they always want things both ways - sorry but on this occasion, you can''t have. If you are on the stock market, and enjoying the benefits that that brings, then you are always potentially up for sale. You cannot then pick and choose who buys the Company, you just have to live with. Quite frankly, I think they deserve everything they get and I''ve got not one jot of sympathy for any of them. If 20,000 fans decide not to go anymore, then I doubt if Glazier will care as there will another 20,000 mugs queuing up to to take their places. Message to all disillusioned Manure fans - go & support Wigan next season
 20. Well done Wigan Sorry though I don''t rate your chances next season with Matt Jackson in your defence Come on you Hammers !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

 23.
Well I must be worse... if it makes you feel better... you seam pretty down. I live in Belgium and only get to see maybe one game a year and none this season!!!! The ones I get to see, thanks dad, I ...
Maybe he''d be better off watching Test Cricket then he could leave 4 and a half days before the end. Or better still, Snooker and leave 16 days before the end  - Oh what joy !!!! Honestly though. I couldn''t believe the original post but to be quite honest some of the sympathetic (or should that be pathetic) replies are even worse What is going on here ?
