1. i''m afraid jas that he is a roeer favourite and thus will see the season out. but he''s awful. i was watching him warm up at gorleston with lappin and he just put pass after pass 10 yards to the right or left of the motherwell-headed (hopefully) scotsman, he had to keep putting his hand up to apologise to him for it.he cant head, he can''t tackle. he cant pass, he''s slow, positional sense awful. i don''t get how people defend him by saying he''s out of position - russel doesn''t look that chronically awful there, nor did clinghan at centre back apparently."giving it your all" is awesome in sunday league. but not for £X,000 per week it''s not.
 2.
Let''s face it, tonight was shocking, putting the first 25 mins aside we played pretty much the same game that nearly got us relegated last season. Amateur mistakes, lack of understanding and poor link-up play can all be excused for various reasons, this was after all our 1st testing game and players are not yet familiar with each other and some, namely Pattison, looked about as fit as my grandfather. My problem however with tonights performance is the lack of effort. I''m not going to start blasting the whole team, this was after all a friendly against a serious premier team, arguably a top six Premier team, but one thing tonight was clear to me... if we can''t attack we will get ripped apart week in and week out, not just in the FA Cup against Prem teams but every other week by the likes of Birmingham, Palace and even Blackpool. Norwich City must have strikers that threaten defences, we must have a team sheet that says to the opposition:- we''re gonna have to defend well today boys or else these guys are gonna put 6 past us. We currently have strikers that are tame, lacking in ability, lacking in talent, lacking in pretty much everything that puts fear into an opposition defence. Our opponents know the threat is minimal, they are able to play any system they choose knowing that as long as they play sensibly they can prevent us from scoring, with their defense secure and confident their route to attack is open, and last year that was proved far too often. We need at least 2 serious striker signings, Lupoli may prove to be some good business and I believe that, but Cureton? At best he should become a ''super sub'' although I personally would never put the words ''super'' and ''Cureton'' together. As I have said in some previous posts, the next 5 months are do or die for the current regime, we need a serious strike force at Carrow Road, and by god, we need them NOW.
er yep yep and yep.
 3. Why on the official site in the first team section where this season''s squad numbers are, does it point out that david bell is on loan from leicester in bracketts?I thought he''d signed for 3 years?Sorry if this has already been noticed and answered... not seen it anywhere though...http://www.canaries.premiumtv.co.uk/page/TeamHome/0,,10355,00.html[:^)]
 4.
Who would you say apart from the obvious being Stefano, Omoz and Bertrand, are the 2/3 Premiership Quality players in the squad that Roeder insisted were needed to secure a definite push for promotion... also who realistically is left in the striker department that comes under his Roeder-Requirement of Premiership quality that we could snap up in time!?
in betweenies he said actually
 5.
Is row H near the bottom or near the top? Dont know if its 8 rows from the back, or 8 rows from the front lol Anyone know?
we''re in row hh, which according to the delightful lady on the ticket office phone line is towards the back, so presume h is therefore 8th row up, we''re presumably 34 rows back..
 6.

Hello everyone. Please can you tell me that there is a better way of getting to the game than the 5 hour odd train journey via either london or birmingham?!Don''t want to drive so can have opening day drinkies... advice please.. (noone suggest the club coach)
get someone else to drive.... solved! club cabbage is crap but it does mean u can drink as much as u want and not have to worry... before my mate could drive me and him would tank ourselves up pre game and at half time to make the journery home (usually after a defeat) more Bearable... just pick the coach with the toilet! jas :)
does your mate wanna drive us?! we''ll buy his ricoh food... and it''ll mightily reduce the petrol...

 9.

Got my ticket :D Anyone know much about the Ricoh Arena? I heard the coventry fans are pretty awful! Lets hope we take a BIG following down there :D Cant wait now!!
called to buy two today and we''ve already sold out our first allocation so waiting for more to be sent from cov, expected today.
Good stuff! Hope you get your tickets fella! 11.
theres no cause over the last years to be positive my freind or i would .
going 2-0 to the scum at home and still singing louder than we have for years?being the third best supported club outside the premiership?it''s about the fans, it''s about the club, not the board, or poor results. Be positive about the fact we all care so much it makes us miserable. If you''d had been at gorleston or Falkenbergs you would feel positive,  hoolahan would single handedly improve your dour mood.
 12.
arsenal didnt rate him derby he had 7 goals the 34 games not great had 6 clubs by rthe age of 21 and not made a single apperance for fiorentina.
once again misery guts, read this: http://www.soccerbase.com/teams2.sd?teamid=999and then tell me if you think there are many other strikers who we could get our hands on for a season loan who would break into this first team?get a grip man, moaning for the sake of moaning, the summer mood has turned, bout time you cottoned on.
 13.
glenn roeders comments towards the end of last season. we need a team of tall physical players like stoke . instead a team of midgets bariing marshall shackell. whats the point when were going to launch high crosses into the box with likes of cureton and lupoli in the box . remember this is not the passing team of old.
read this: http://norwichcity.myfootballwriter.com/full_article.asp?i=3773then tell me you''re still being miserable and pessimistic.Roeder acknowledges the lack of height of lupoli and the potential signing of Misfud.Explicitly says we need a big lad for them to play off and points out even if we buy misfud he wouldn''t count due to his "small stature".Glenn has it ALL under control.
 14.
I would rather buy fish and chips than Ameobi and i hate fish and chips
WHO HATES FISH & CHIPS??! [:O]
 15.
well with all the money crunching, do you think he went to all the supermarkets to get different things ?
with only 4 hours training a day he has to fill the time somehow.
 16. ^^ if you''re playing that formation (overlapping wingbacks) then surely you''d have otsemoboor!! fastest man in the squad.mine currently is:                      Marshall   otsemoboor    omozuzi   stefanovic     bertrand                                        rusty        fotheringham           croft                                           hoolihan                       New big lad   lupoli   n.b. special mention as usual that doherty would not be in the squad but would let him wash the kit.
 17.
In case anyone missed it, I have up loaded Chris Gorehams report onto here..... http://www.freewebs.com/canarycall/eventsactivities.htm Makes one start to look forward to the new season!!!    PS.  Worry not Barry''s gone no where.  [:)]
nice one mate thanks for that.and barry is truly legendary.."...but what i''m sayin is though neil.."
 18.

Why do we need a big man if we are planning on playing our footy on the deck.  Man Utd do OK and Rooney/Tevez arent the biggest...
They have Scholes, Hargreaves and Carrick playing behind them making things happen. We don''t have a playmaker in midfield. You need a big man or a playmaker in your team, we have neither at present.
I think hoolahan is a play maker. Did you see the gorleston game? ALWAYS wanted the ball and killed it and created things with it instantly, i think he''s a play maker, not a winger.
Wasn''t at the game but I hope you are right. I tend to think of a playmaker playing in a central role (don''t shoot me down!) but a bit like Francis.
i know what you''re saying about central players being play makers, but when you''ve got captain fozz who can get the ball out to wesley hollywood hoolahan, the touch this boy has got will mean that it''s as good as him having the ball in central areas, i see him linking with fotheringham a lot. Admiteedly i couldn''t go to sweden and i''ve only seen him play in a norwich shirt at emerald park. And the same goes for clingan - but it''s wezzer and fozzer who are our playmakers, clingan to me looks like an unfit gary holt.

 21. I think we will sign one of the ameobi mould and I also think we will sign another striker of the misfud mould or a prem loanee youngster. I cannot believe for a second that Martin is in his thoughts, it''s too clear that he doesn''t rate him. I think we are going to get one more midfielder (once we find where david bell has got lost in chapelfield) and 2 more strikers. seems that omulsuzuzuzizuzi is starting cb alongside stefanovic.

 24.

So are you saying we just dismiss his stats and sign him anyway? I have never actually seen the lad play so stats for me are all Ive got to go off and I''m not convinced. A seasons loan with an option to sign would be the best option with this one.
I would think that Roeder has seen him play and isn''t just going off his record on Wikipedia..... And the loan option seems to be the one Roeder is taking anyway, so [Y]
"...Roeder has seen him play and isn''t just going off his record on Wikipedia...."ha ha
 25.

Someone''s desperate to boost his post count, methinks...Bunny, its a good point about Lupoli, though I do wonder how much English is spoken in the Arsenal dressing room! [:S]
Lupoli did spend a year at Derby so i would imagine he can speaka dee english
spent a number of years at Arsenal,  has anyone seen Aliadiere interviewed on MOTD? he has a cockney/french accent
has anyone ever told you that hucks looks like gareth southgate in your signature?(sorry if this has been repeated)
