1. Yep ,get rid off it ,who remembers when they used to play music when corners were taken ?? it didn''t last long !!!
 2. Why stop with just Rabbit ? wood pigeon is tasty too ,and their are millions of those I once had a game pie that had both in it ,it was very good :)
 3.

Mine are being ravaged by slugs, been out with the scissors last night, can''t be bothered to waste salt and/or chemical slug pallets.Amazingn how fast the fox cub story rasttled through their frontpage coverage, probably got worried about the emotive responses they''d got, nothing else seem to rattle people''s consciousness more.Or was it the less than squeaky clean RSPB''s consciousness, I dunno.
Nevermind ,have you tried beer on slugs ? ,put some in a saucer ,or a small cup and they will drown happy
Yeah some years back, it works alright, BUT, its somehow hard for me to waste perfectly good beer on these critters, beer is like bread to a German and it comes hard to waste the amber nectar.
That''s a valid point ! I don''t like to waste decent beer either ,but if it is awful stuff (fosters for example) I don''t mind ,I usually get given two or three crates a year of skippy piss ,I usually dump them at friends parties etc ,but I don''t mind the slugs drinking it too :)

 5. Yes ,it would be nice to finish higher ,but stability is the key to future success :)
 6. Alan Shearer, 63 caps, 30 goals, MBE. Joey Barton, 1 cap, 0 goals, GBH.
 7. Joey Barton is not a legend ,maybe only to himself ,he is a thug a bully and a coward ,not just for the things he has done on the pitch ,but off it too ,just ask that student he assaulted for no other reason than being born ,the man should be in a mental hospital ,it won''t be long until he kills someone
 8.
Some great photos of a Kittyhawk they found well preserved in the African desert. http://www.dailymail.co.uk/news/article-2142300/Crashed-plane-Second-World-War-pilot-Dennis-Copping-discovered-Sahara-desert.html
shame they have not found the missing pilot :(
 9.
The Typhoon "concrete filled" cannon chamber? Next you''ll mention catapults being too expensive. What would yound David have done? I think we should send all MoD and Politicians towar zones with an emty Bic biro tube and a pad of blotting paper. hex.
the Typhoon never had the cannon removed ,to stick a lump of concrete in there would have meant a redesign of the aircraft ,so in the end they just disconnected it !!  and why ? because some bean counter at the MoD got the decimal point in the wrong place !
 10.

My son used to fly out of Odiham quite a lot in Chinooks. One day I received a phone call telling me to be out in the garden in 5 minutes. A Chinook came over and circled the house and then flew off. I think everybody in the area was out in their garden looking up. Now here is the rub, the craft developed a fault about 10 mins later and had to make an emergency landing on the bank of the river Ouse. My son and the crew had to spend the night waiting for a replacement. All good fun to his mob. PS they were on their way to do an exercise out on the gas platforms.
" Chinooks over London", will not be a sequell to ''chinooks over Mull'', they did sort out this computer problem, or did they? Mind you, admitting it would unleash a rash of claims as the helicopter was full of brass, we can''t have that with the MOD being 36 billion in debt, going up.
Yes there was a fault with the early chinook HC2 ,which was rectified but typical Mod /RAF board of enquiry blamed the pilots ,the current fleet of chinooks is airworthy even if they are getting on towards thirty years old ,just don''t mention the twelve chinnoks that sat for years at boscombe down which were bought especially for the special forces ,instead of buying them "off the shelf" from boeing ,the Mod decided to install its own software ,the aircraft were grounded for years ,the MoD is good at this ,just research "Typhoon cannon " or even the Nimrod MR4 program ,I am surprised they can even tie their own shoes
 11.

I guess at Northolt. As we sold off everywhere else. There was comment on a forum loosely based around West Berks that a sonic boom was noticeda week ago.         Walkern Canary mentioned Buckinghamshire as a flying zone as well..hex
Yes ,RAF Northolt ,four will be stationed there
Is this for a 24/7 constant aircover? with refuelling in the air :)
Just whilst the Olympics are on they will be on QRA ,which means they should be on two minutes readiness ,they will have tanker support from RAF Brize Norton ,but if they are only going to be patrolling the London area they shouldn''t need tanker support for some time ,the endurance of the Typhoon is a bit more than the F-104 starfighter or EE Lightning ,hopefully they won''t be needed

 13. "Brian Whelan, 28, said he will be kicked out only days before the Olympics and suggested the move was linked to his exposing of the missiles plan." expose the missle plan ??  the MoD had been saying for months they were likely to have missile systems in place for the games the man is deluded ,he obviously loves the sound of his own voice
 14. Brian Whelan just seems to be a typical nimby ,who probably has an irational hatred of the armed forces ,a typical champagne socialist more nimbys can be found here http://www.bucksfreepress.co.uk/news/9691296.Military_jets_on_Olympics_exercise_heard_over_Wycombe/
 15.
The old Lightning that tagged the Bears had an enormous streak of power, but it had to be replenished almost immediately to keep it aloft.I wonder if Typhoons will be stooging around as Biggles might have said. hex.
Ah yes the English Electric Lightning ,my favourite jet fighter ,and the only aircraft capable of intercepting the U2 spy plane ,its rate of climb was incredible ,50,000 per minute ,the Typhoon is quoted at 62,000 per minute ,andits engines are more effiicient than those lovely old Rolls Royce Avons :)
 16. Anyway more on missiles For clarification. Rapier FSC (the current version in service) is a 24/7 all weather radar guided system with a range of around 16km. StarStreak is CLOS beam riding system that use''s both visual and IR guidance with a range of around 6km.  It can be used in poor visibility day and nightNeither of the systems use lasers of any sort.http://www.armedforces-int.com/projects/starstreak_missile_system.html
 17. Nevermind ,there probably are SAM sites dotted around the edge of London too ,but because they are not in the capital no one would notice ,at the height of readiness a QRA fighter used to be able to scramble in two minutes ,but if there is an attack more than likely it will be on the ground .
 18.
Not disputing your comments nevermind. There is a rusting hulk filled with explosives. Not far from the stadium. It is sunk.No one has dared to touch it for 60 years.hex.
yep ,right slap bang where Boris wants to build his airport !!
 19.
Looking at the short staffed airport controls, it is domestic and transit flights that need watching most, because they would have the best chance of success for any terror action, a shoot down over and above the stadium, all spots are surrounding the site, would mean that all else has failed.
I wouldn''t worry too much about ATC  there will be an E-3 sentry patrolling keeping an eye on air movements
