1.
I should declare that I love Sky TV and their phone service too, far cheaper than BT, and yes, I subscribe to both.
Well this is a first we agree on something as i too have the sky package [ tv, phone , broadband ] and find their football coverage second to none and yes it glorifies the so called big clubs but without their financial input we would not be able to see some of the worlds finest players so regularly . The so called champions league has done far more harm in my humble opinion , you only need to finish forth to qualify ? and yes i know sky cover these matches also but its part of the package i pay for , there has been rumours for some time of a prem 2 forming to replace the championship hopefully if this ever takes off we would be a part of it [ the extra money would certainly help right now ] and i don''t think so many of you would be mooning about sky if some of their funds came our direction .
2. Even saying all that and i have met Gunny as a match sponsor guest and also during my time as a club steward and yes he is a really nice person [ never to busy to speak to anyone who approached him ]  yet to be appointed manager after all his previous jobs here was brave to say the least and it is very early days but this is a different club to a short time ago and the feeling around nearly everyone smudger is upbeat long may it continue and i for one think it will .
3. I could have started a new post but thought i would just carry on with my original , just read Gunnys first column in  E.E.N  and was again impressed with its very honest appraisals of the task in hand and the way he intends to go about things . As i said at the start of this i admit i got him wrong and the more i see and read only makes me more convinced .
4. To my mind the test is always ongoing , how you perform against all sides wherever they are positioned and with all the varied systems teams play but i am still convinced we now have enough opions to combat most if not all situations .
5. I am sorry if my optimism does not suit all but i have seen dross at this club over the years far in excess of the Grant and Roeder reigns and the change in atmosfear is overwhelming . We will at some stage suffer defeat law of averages and all that  but we are far better equipped to get over it with the attitude all are showing at the club at least from management downwards , the board are probably still are as shocked as we all are at such a promising start under the new team in control .
6. Yes i am an optimist [ i always try and look on the bright side something to do with getting old ] but Gunny has in a very short time put a smile on the players and many fans alike and the performances mirror that , long may they continue .   This may well turn out the most inspired decision this under fire board have ever made however they came to it ?
7. To add to the above just been reading Gunny had another centre-back lined up [ all the rumours on deadline-day are not always accurate ] and will hopefully sign when loan window re-opens Tuesday ref: Doncaster all other sites seem to say its Davies from Stoke if so more plus points to the management team. With Butterworth now assisting Gunny the defensive frailties should be addressed soon .
8. I must admit like others on here i got it wrong , Gunny an untried manager was quite a strange appointment at face value it seemed as others have said the cheep option . Now the full management team are in place with what i think are good squad additions things are really looking up and the players who were already here seem to want to play for Gunny and they look to be enjoying football again so well done one and all . We could still do with defensive cover at centre-back and possibly right-back but the rest of the positions look covered  , again positive move and well done . The only team member i was convinced about like many others was Crooky and its no surprise goals are flowing from all areas of the pitch especially from what was our shot shy midfield and although Jamie keeps missing important chances Gunny  keeps treating him with dignity and has options a plenty should he need a rest from the firing line . All in all the futures looking very bright [ and before some start saying we are in a perilous position thats bleeding obvious but with Gunny i think we should start looking for mid-table and not league 1 ].
9. I will just say the team are speaking with their play A FANTASTIC MATCH AND A BRILLIANT RESULT  well done Gunny and the boys .
10. There have been so many negative posts since Gunny was appointed  WHY  , he is bonding the squad as far as i can see and his transfer dealings look as good as we could have hoped for with our finances . The important thing is Croft was not sold nor Marshall as i feared to pay for any moves , this squad is good enough to maintain our championship status which must be the top priority so lets all get behind the the management and the whole team   and give them every chance to become the new heroes our previous boss kept on about . Lets all hope for a positive result tonight to help us on our way to safety .
11. Today ,   and  i am impressed with  all  Gunnys transactions so far he might just be cut out for this managment lark ?
12. Some fans on here are so negative and yes we need the central defence area strengthened but i am sure Gunny can see this and is doing what he can to put this right . Maybe some of the signings will fail to impress but the main thing i.m.h.o is they are all hungry players and that''s what we need [ and before some idiot says well feed them ] players who have something to prove and the will to win . On the down side i still fear a sale to even out the figures financially but i hope i am wrong [ it may be the only way we can get the defence area addressed ]
13. We are signing players [ or at least trying to ] at an alarming rate and yes i know its before the deadline or not at all . Carney is a good player as is Killen at this level , Gow has proved himself at Blackpool and as long as he stays fit should be a useful squad player as he can play forward or midfield , Iversen will he won'' he join i hope he does and then young McDonald untried but lets hope Gunny has discovered a real jem . This only leaves the troubled central defence to address with at least one possibly two hopefully on their way in [ Taylor would be a great start with perhaps young Bruce ]  we can all dream ?
14. In no way can the fans of our great club be blamed in any way or associated with the chants of some Chelsea morons  , as i stated at the start i backed Glenn while he controlled the reins here but still cannot condone the very poor attitude he gave to true football fans who only cared for the well being   THEIR  club  .
15. To anger those who paid his wages was simply plain stupidity  [ or was he angling for a way out ? ]  , i backed him while he was in control and thought he had to manage with one and sometimes two hands tied behind him but his attitude to the fans of this club was at times with disdain and this was only inevertable outcome . The board had to act and for once they did , the appointment of  Gunny seemed a very hasty one but on reflection could be a real brilliant move by one and all , bringing in Crooky should ensure a far more forward thinking dressing room and attractive football  for us all to enjoy and then there is the return of Dixie an old head for Gunny to lean on for advice  [ all in all a real team ] . There are also strong rumours of the return of  Butterwoth as number two a post he has held at other clubs Cardiff for one so he knows what the job entails and will also be another person for Gunny to share the workload with . Back to Crooky he should have first hand info on the best young Ausralian players , the ones who have tried playing over here seem to have the right attitude to be a success and have been generally impressive and skillfull footballers again another bonus . SO GOOD LUCK TO GUNNY AND THE NEW MANAGMENT TEAM .
16. A total disgrace that a club like Birmingham City have no under soil heating , i just hope the offer of free entry applies to any re-arranged game ?. Charlton are another club with no heating under soil , city match in doubt at 12.30 but okay-ed by ref  so much  for so called bigger clubs in this league , but others will state at least Birmingham spend on the squad instead .
17. The club board took their time even involved David Stringer in the selection process with Roeder and i have heard him state on radio norfolk that Roeder was the outstanding applicant for the managers position does he take any stick  NO just the board and in particular  Delia . Yes she has made errors running this club as other owners have with theirs and yes we are in real financial trouble but who else is there prepared to run our club . There are many clubs struggling to find new investment most are bigger than us  so we will have to bide our time and support not antagonize those currently in control  .
18. The brilliant away supporters deserve this team of ours to give them a performance to be proud of , there will be close on 3.000 fans at Charlton tomorrow which is a huge following for such a struggling team and the majority turn out at every away game . I only make the rare away match these days but feel proud at the support we maintain , we hardly ever win on our travels so to regulaly get these quantities of travelling fans is amazing and those players should turn on the sort of performances these numbers warrant . Many will say the  f.a cup  is not important in our predicament but we need to start winning a.s.a.p  and get some sort of run going before all is totally lost   , and these well payed players of ours need to get some high level of performance and then maintain them . Good luck to all travelling  ....  COME ON CITY....................
19. This posting has really left me puzzled i wish we attacked more and push our opponents onto the back foot more often . I admit  i do not see every match for various reasons but the only times we [ took the game to the opposition ] we played entertaining and looked like a  TEAM  . We struggle to defend since loosing the centre of defence and we badly need a  right-back  Semmy is prone to dreaming at crucial times and so gets caught out whether attacking or defending , Bertrand is also going through a real rough patch but just how fit is  Drury  other fans have said he often has to stand on the coach after away matches [ which does not sound great ] . On another point Gow has suddenly become a star striker as Wolves name is linked with him , it seems any way at blaming Roeder for signing or not signing players some fans jump on the bandwagon . I  have supported Roeder up to now but like every fan there comes a time when results have to improve or the inevitable  happens [ the term sack him or back him comes to mind ]  if they back him funds have to be found  but should they decide the opposite the new manager must have time to work while the transfer window is open  so a decision is needed  A.S.A.P ..... .Lets face it it will be a miracle if a buyer is found before the summer so we need to lay off the board as i still believe they are doing the bast they can for  OUR club and do not want to see it ruined as some might think , like us they are fans of the canaries not enemies .
20. Firstly happy xmas and new year to all fellow  SUPPORTERS  ,  now to the other point why this stupid protest planed for Forest game . In my opinion the management and board are still trying to do the best for this club under real financial troubles and i believe they have the backing of the vast majority of the fans at carrow rd  . They are trying to sell a club at a time when many bigger names are attempting to do the same thing [ Newcastle , Portsmouth ,West Ham to name but three  and there are others ] without success so we are relying on that man Peter Cullum yet again to come forward and bail the club out  if he is indeed really interested  [ only he knows ] ???? Lets get behind whoever plays on Sunday and help  THE CLUB  get those three badly needed points so we can push up the league to a mid table area of safety and then push on again   COME ON YOU YELLOWS...............................................................
21. I am as shocked as any fan at the  Bell / Ward  stories but its plain to see the only way clubs can change things round in the present climate is loans , out of contract or swap deals . Bell after his late start has been a real bright spot  in a low season looking every bit the player Roeder said he was , he may indeed have found it hard to settle in this region and a return to the midlands may be of his choosing ? Only the very rich clubs will spend in January and we certainly do not come anywhere near to them with our financial troubles but we are not alone many clubs are in my opinion on the edge and need to be extra careful in these difficult times [ as we all do ] . I still believe in Roeder and am pretty sure any players that leave in the window will be either of his choosing  or more likely enforced for cash flow reasons , the only bonus i can see in this is the better young players may get an earlier chance to come through and become the new heroes we were promised .
22. I think Roeder wanted everyone fully focused on the derby match and not distractions to the build up of such a crucial game . I will be sad to see Clark leave but he clearly is wanting to be his own man and good luck to him.
23. Thankyou  for the fantastic performance city  [ many more please ]  terrific from the first whistle . COME ON YOU YELLOWS.............................................

25. We need from the first minute to the last to battle for the three precious points at stake today [ its not a top team its only an average side from Suffolk ] yes they have decent players but so do we . Lets take the game to them and then we will be victorious , Lita , Houlahan , Bell and Croft will worry them and can turn any side , Clingan and Pattison will bite at those midfield pretty boys or Russel if Clingan is deployed  further back along side the dock . What we need most of all is a clean sheet at the back and then let our forward players create havoc at the other end  , we are due a derby win but we have to earn it  so  GET  INTO  THEM  F...K  THE  BALL and lets get our season off and running ........................COME  ON  CITY ................................ p.s    LETS  GIVE  MY  SON  A   BELATED  30th  BIRTHDAY  PRESENT  [ the game should have been  ON  his birthday but good old sky and police put the mockers on that one still a wins a win ..]
