1. "Played decent for parts of the first game". You obviously did not go to the first game because i did and we did not create one decent chance, so how you can say that i don''t know. Cureton saved us last week with two great finishes but the saints had a perfectly good goal not given. And then we have the hull game, which we were very poor and again did not create any chances. Anyone who went, all say we didn''t deserve to get anything out of the game apart from Peter Grant. Our midfield has been awful, lappin, croft are just not good enough. Poor old russell runs round trying his best but is getting no help. Two home league games now and we better hope for two wins because already we are in the bottom half. If you had gone and seen them for yourself then you might think the same because we really are not playing well.
2.
Can you believe this? From BBC Sports Norwich manager Peter Grant: "I''m very disappointed, and would have been disappointed if we had taken only one point. "I thought we matched everything they had, but both of their goals came as a result of us giving away possession. "We threw everything at them in an effort to win the game, and we ended up with four strikers on the pitch. I thought we dealt with them comfortably and were always a threat." I like Peter''s passion, but sometimes I wonder, I really do. [:''(] OTBC
The majority of fans who went yesterday all say we didn''t deserve anything from the game. Our midfield is absolute rubbish and only Russell is worthy of wearing the yellow shirt. Lappin is just not good enough on the left wing, never runs at defenders. This is what wingers are supposed to do. The same could be said of croft. He seems to do very little and again i say he is not good enough. Brellier who i beleive will be good when he is fit and settled but he is taking his time to find his form. Russell is the only one in are midfield who is trying but is not getting any help from the other midfielders. We need Hucks back fit now, and will still need a creative midfielder. Can''t understand why we are not playing Chadwick in centre midfield or instead of croft on the right. PG thinks he knows best and the results speak for themselves!
3. Against a weak preston  side we defended very well but our midfield did not create anything attack wise. Against the saints if it wasn''t for two geart finishes from cureton to turn the game on its head and a bit of help from the ref (goal not given for going over line). Again yesterday at hull, our midfield is not creating any chances for our forwards. Lappin is not very attack minded, never runs at defenders and adds very little. Brellier is a defensive midfielder, he is not fit and it shows and not done anything yet. Russell does try hard but seems to be just ball chasing, and Croft just is not doing much either, rarely beats his player or puts a decent ball in. Smith no one knows what he is going to be like when he comes back. Hucks is the only desent midfielder we have, and this is his last year here. We rely on Hucks so much and without him we are rubbish We have a very average bunch in midfield, but what do you expect when all we are getting is freebies.
4. He aint good enough for the prem and will soon be back down playing in this league again.
5. Just because he was good when he was here before doesn''t mean he is any good now. Don''t want anymore x players. There are hundreds of centre backs out there we could get. Just don''t understand it why all we here about is getting someone on loan or its a free transfer. Something is not right here, and it seems the board are keeping money back for some reason.
6.
Maybe we should put the whole darn lot of them on one year contracts.[:O] And bring in a new job lot next year if they don''t perform. You know, just like Sven and the Thai guy at Man City. Maybe it''s the new way.[:-*][:)] OTBC
Murry suffered from Reactive Arthritis which ruled him out for a big part of the season last year. It could come back, lets hope it doesn''t and no team in the country would give him a longer contract because of this, so you should not even be questioning why only a 1 year contract.
7.
do we need one though? Brellier, Rusty, Fozzy, Lappin can play there theres also Mickey Spillane... we are well covered in that position jas :)
Brellier is not fit, Fozzy out till december
8. This is a big blow. Played very well pre-season and again against the saints. With jimmy smith still out and brellier not fit this leaves us with a big problem in midfield.
9. Just when he has started to look good he now has ankle ligament damage and will be out for some time.
10.
do we need one though? Brellier, Rusty, Fozzy, Lappin can play there theres also Mickey Spillane... we are well covered in that position jas :)
Yep plenty of midfielders but which one is the attacking, creative midfielder we need???
11.

Before the transfer window opened, we had the hailed introduction of the Turners on to the board who "loaned" us £2m which prompted the statement - "we don''t have to sell any players this summer". Knowing that we would need to strengthen after last years dismal effort you can confidently assume that when this statement was made (unless the board are blatantly lying to us) their was some money for transfers.
But - they never said we don''t have to sell any players if we want to buy some, did they?  I took that statement as a ''now we have kept the wolves from the door'' type thing, rather than a ''we have loads of money''.  Remember, there is a shortfall of £7m income this season.  However, I am not a staunch supporter of the Board, and it is patently obvious that we have not spent all that we''ve received this summer. Loans may not be the way forward for you, but if we are being quoted silly money for players we are enquiring about (Davenport for £2m +?? You''ve got to be kidding me!), then loans may be the ONLY way forward if we are to strengthen the squad.  Try and be a little more objective.
We put bids in for Sharp for 2 million rising to 3 million and for Eastwood for 1.5 million. This was way before we had sold any player. The board might of speculated that earnshaw was going to leave, his release clause only operated in june i beleive. But the bid the for sharp was accepted and we still bid for eastwood. If both of these players decided to come to us and then earnshaw decided to stay here we must of had the money in the transfer kitty, just in case earnie didn''t go?  If derby didn''t come in for him i can''t really see who else in the premiership would of wanted him, and i find it hard that our board would speculate on selling a player and bidding 3.5-4.5 million on two players if their wasn''t a healthy sum in the transfer kitty in the first place. We have been told everytime a player leaves that the all the money will be at Grant''s disposal. I don''t mind loan signings as long as they are in the same quality bracket as Hucks and Crouch.
12. I didn''t go to the match today but find it absolutley disgusting than some so called fans were booing our own player. In future if anyone is around any such fans tell them to shut the **** up.
13. Had his time! Makes to many mistakes now (bit like dotherty) and always used to annoy me how excited he got when the opposition team scored. Sometimes you would think we had just scored. Happy Retirement Roy!
14. So happy 100th birthday "On the ball city"!
15. Does anyone know the history of this song "On the ball city".  When was it first sung, and who made it up?
16. Neil doncaster said that ALL the money from player sales would be put back into the team. He said nothing about using it to pay off the clubs debts or loans.
17. I have not taken off, player signing on fee''s and agent fee''s which i don''t feel can be a great deal but why are we not bidding for players, and all we are hearing about is the odd loan rumour. Neil Doncaster said that ALL the money made from player sales would all be available for Peter Grant to spend. Are the board hoping we all forget about this money? If we don''t spend any of this money before the end of the month what happens to all the interest that it will be making?
18. Just for a bit of fun, if you were peter grant who would you buy before the end of the month? Be realistic!!!! My selections:           Riordan   1 million                                  David Norris  1.2 million                                  Sodje   700k
19. In all the pre-season games he has looked our best forward. Even on saturday against preston he did ok, not that he had any chances to score. What i like about him is his strengh and he seems to have pace too. Don''t judge him on last season because he is like a different player this year. I was writing him off last season too, but after seeing him now i wouldn''t be surprised if he ended up being our top scorer!
20. We are the second most sucessful team. I am guessing they are doing it on the amount of games won in the history of the league cup. If west ham who have never won it have got through to the final or semi''s a dozen times they would be above a team that has won it a few times but on other occasions gone out in the first round. This is my guess how they worked it out.
21. Maybe he should go back to the central attacking midfielder role, cause we need one. Now! I also know of Mitch Goose and his dad Ray and his brother. They are all runners and what i hear Mitch will be going to the olympics.
22. We are one of the most successsful teams in the league(carling) cup. http://www.teamtalk.com/football/story/0,16368,2483_2660720,00.html
23. Yes you can bet on all the teams if you want too. But you are risking £80 and if charlton do win you still lose £10. If any of the others win you will win more, but not much for risking £80. i.e If watford or west brom win you will get back £90 and a profit of only £10. Also if there is a surprise team hopefully us then you will lose everything. My advice not worth the risk. Good luck anyway!
24. They had quite a few corners because when they won a corner, we defended very well and put it out for another corner. This happened a few times. Even right at the end of the match they had 4 or 5 corners one after another. Despite conceding so many corners i never felt we would concede a goal and we didn''t. Our defence was very solid.
25. For anyone who didn''t go to the match yesterday Darren carter played very well for them, infact their best player i thought. I thought his passing was very good and he was involved in any attacking they did and feel a little disapointed that we didn''t sign him ourselves.
