1. We could always offer Bristol Rovers a swap deal. Cureton plus cash for Rickie Lambert.
2. Maric still thinking over deal! Gunn will know later today.....again news from pinkun twitter.
3. Just want Rickie Lambert now and we will walk back into the Championship!
4. Because a few of like to keep tabs on our former players and we could now find ourselves playing against him very soon.
5. Former canary Gary Holt not Grant Holt on trial at Colcester http://www.colchester.vitalfootball.co.uk/article.asp?a=162717
6. Yes this was already discussed last night. He has some sort of ankle injury.
7. GROW UP!!! SimonOTBC...... It''s people like you that have to insult people and start calling people names that drive people away from forums like this. If you don''t like what you read, don''t comment and go elsewhere!
8. Quote from todays evening news: Gunn said reports that he was chasing Shrewsbury target man Grant Holt were wide of the mark. “That''s speculation,” he said. “Obviously at this stage of the season there is a lot of speculation about, some of it has some truth to it others completely off the mark, but it''s something we have got to put up with as a football club and we are working hard behind the scenes in our efforts to get players in.
9. The fact is, Gunn said that speculation linking us with a move for Holt is wide of the mark. Gunn was honest when speculation was about Nelson, Tudor-jones, Gill and Llera (who signed for Charlton). If you want to cling on to hope that we will sign Holt, that''s up to you. But after Gunn''s comments today, it''s a no go!
10. You can make what you want of what Gunn said. But one thing i will say is Gunn has been completely honest when asked about transfer speculation and would admit if the was any truth in the speculation linking us with a move for Holt.
11. Gunn said in todays evening news that it''s just speculation and wide of the mark linking us with a move for Grant Holt! This is a big shame because he would of easily scored us over 20+ goals. I would love to see Maric sign but we still need another 6ft+ forward. If Maric gets injured, we would only be left with short arses up front!. Bridges has gone back to home to Newcastle and didn''t really impress, so who else is there? and are we actually going to spend some money on a forward?
12. What makes you think the players we have signed or the ones on trial were anything to do with Deehan? They are more likely to be recommended by Butterworth, Crook or the players agents themselves getting them a trial!
13.
the fee is just under 4 million but reckon he''s worth that money
The fee being reported is £1.5 million.
14. For a reported £1.5 million on a 4 year deal worth 20k a week. I think they''ve got a bargain and good luck to him!
15. Jed used to play for my sons team Drayton, must be about 6 or 7 years ago now. He was a big lad then and looked a good couple of years older than everyone else. Nice to see him doing so well!
16. Demetriou sounds very good. O''S YOUTH team product Jason really caught the eye with his progress last term, which saw him pick up the club''s Young Player of the Year award. In just his second year as a professional, Newham-born midfielder Demetriou started 31 League games and was a used sub in 12 more - a total that was only bettered by Adam Chambers and Adam Boyd. An extremely versatile player capable of playing in central midfield, on either wing, or at right back, Jason was handed his first team debut during the 2005/06 season as reward for an impressive 18 months in the youth and reserve teams. Most of his opportunities last term came on the left flank and Jason also has a great eye for goal - scoring a remarkable 17 times, mostly from full-back, for the youth and reserve sides in 2004/05. He has since backed this up with six senior strikes. A set-piece specialist who supports the attack well and can pass with both feet, Jason is sure to be an integral part of the O''s team during 2008/09. In February 2009, Demetriou earned his first call-up to the Cyprus squad, making his international debut in a 2-0 defeat to Serbia. Jason Demetriou Squad No: 20 Position: Midfielder (C/R/L) / Defender (R) Place and Date of Birth: Newham, November 18 1987 Height and Weight: 5.09 / 10.12
17. If 700k is all Clingan is worth, i''d rather we keep him!
18. Why don''t we just sell the stadium to Aviva and then lease it off them? This is to who we owe our debt too i believe. Not sure how much Carrow road is worth but if it''s worth anywhere near the £20 million we owe, at least we would be debt free! Aviva are now sponsoring the Geoffrey Watling stand as well as the corner between the Jarrold and N&P stand. Carrow road would then become "The Aviva Stadium".
19. The bloke can''t defend! Try him as a right winger and if he can''t play there, GET RID OF HIM!
20. Simon Whaley swap for Russell. Thats why Russell has not gone to Dartford today!
