1.

I know, my point was directed at others on here who think he''s better than Semmy after a game against Fakenham Town, it''s ludicrous.
People are to quick to have a dig at semmy! he does come with his faults, but he needs managering, it seems Gunn is struggling to do this!
The player didn''t even have respect for Dario Gradi, one of the most respected men in football, so I think that says more about Otsemober don''t you? Of course, it seems that Roeder and Grant also failed to manage this arrogant little kid didn''t they?
 2.

Mushroom.. Exactly a couple of years ago. Doesn''t mean he is going to do it again does it? Did you see Takuri last night?
Yes thanks, was in the main stand. Seemed like a good little player, a lot of potential. My point is that I don''t see how you can automatically assume Takuri is a better player after a game vs Fakenham Town, than Semmy who has played for ourselves, Crewe, Bolton and Liverpool, and showed exactly the same potential as Takuri aged 17 at a higher level.
If it helps at all, I agree with both of you. Whilst I agree that we cant judge him enough against Fakenham, I do believe that Gunn should have given them 45 minutes each tonight at Dartford, with a view to taking him to Scotland. On the other hand, Gunn might be talking to other right backs for all we know, and he might be looking at Takuri as a player for the future..... after a year in the youth team. Im sure you can both agree that Otsemober is somebody we should be looking to replace at some stage before the end of the transfer deadline though? If I were Gunn I would be faxing around trying to get rid!
 3.

It doesnt take an expert to see that Takura was much better than Otsemobor. Quite frankly if Otsemobor is at right back against Colchester Gunn should get sacked.
Ha ha...... this made me chuckle. Although sadly I know that it is a very serious subject.
watch this space.....stays 1-1 the witch hunt will start!
A good job that McDonald will score a second half hatrick then isn''t it?

 5.
Apparently Otsemobor failed to pick up the run of their left winger into the box......who would have thought it?
Gunn will probably give their left winger a trial now!
 6.
1-0 . Nelson. 3 mins
Micky Nelson?
 7.
Not sure of the standard of football in Spanish reserve league, but he certainly knows where the back of the net is!
No such thing as a Spanish reserve league mate. Celta Vigo B team play in the ''Second Division B''...... which is split into four divisions and is the equivalent standard of League One and League Two over here, with a bit of Conference thrown in. Imagine say Arsenal reserves and Man Utd reserves playing in League One and Two...... thats the way it works.
 8. It is clear to me that Clingan would never sign a new contract for us in League One, so the sooner he leaves the better. He doesn''t want to play in league one, we don''t want to lose out on a fair bit of cash or even cash and a player. I suspect that Gunn is making best of the Clingan interest and hoping to use him as a means of signing a player that we may otherwise have not been able to afford. 500k + Paul Parry would be a quality deal if you ask me.  Losing our best centre midfielder, but gaining a right winger who is twice as productive as Croft, and with 500k left to buy either a striker or another centre midfielder to fill the hole left by Clingan. If we were, hypothetically of course, to buy Dickinson for that 500k....... we are effectively getting Paul Parry and Liam Dickinson for Sammy Clingan. That sounds like a good deal to me. As for Russell, the sooner he goes the better he is a liability. Pattison has a bad attitude, get rid of him too.
 9.
Right, just popped on before I head off to my own site, to say Juan (Ryan) I was wrong about today.  Usually at the local friendlies you can tell diddly squat, but tonight I saw that WLY has got enough in the tank to be worth a year deal (he has that touch that can turn a game with 20 minutes left still), and Troy Powell is a genuine box-to-ox midfielder in the Francis mould.  Also Adeymni - maybe pushing the first 11 this season I feel, big, strong and intelligent. Right, byyyeeee!
Cool, appreciate that, but at the same time I still agree with others that we need to give him some more competitive games. I would still like us to take him to Scotland..... Just to make sure...... but judging on what I saw, he still has his excellent first touch and his intelligence..... I still only want him as a squad player, having played on the left, on the right, up front and behind the forwards..... he is a good bet for somebody to come off the bench and mix up a game...... especially if we sign Parry who can play left and right...... swapping the wingers several times in a game is a great tactic.
 10.
No place for Clingan or Rusty - looks as if they may be off soon!
I know that I might get slated for saying this but good. If Clingan is on his way then the sooner the better, so that we can look at what we have got. Russell has been awful since coming back and is not committed, so again good. The quicker that every player at Colney wants to be there, the quicker we are going to gel as a team.   We have Pattison, Gill, Tudor-Jones, Spillane and Adeyemi to compete for th centre midfield spot, and maybe another senior player to join them.  We have too many centre mids as it is.
 11.
although saying that, youve just said McViegh and Adeyemi are on the bnch so i must be talking rubbish! [:P]
And Jed Steer! Your right, they did go down early with Gunn, but I should imagine that Chippy and a few others drove down this morning to meet up.
 12.
Simon Whaley swap for Russell. Thats why Russell has not gone to Dartford today!
Sounds good to me. Russell is one of those that I wanted rid of after Charlton. He has been less than average all year, but the thing that really stood out for me is his two red cards in two games, at a crucial part of the season. I just did not like the shape of our midfield with Russell in the team. I think that we will see Clingan and Pattison go too, but I also have a feeling that Hoolohan will stay. So this would not be a bad midfield:-   Hoolohan   Tudor-Jones   Spillane    Whaley   Although we would need to sign another centre midfielder. Note that I rate Spillane higher than Gill!
 13.
Theoklitos Semmy Doc Nelson Drury Hoolahan Clingan Jones Lappin Mcdonald Martin Subs; Rudd, Spillane, Pattison, Neilson, Cureton, Gill, Russell.
I think Gunn has already said that Rudd will play in goal and the Cambridge City trialist would play on the right. I think that Gunn should be brave and stick Powell up front with one of our strikers...... If he was the best trialist on the pitch last night, then tell him to have a go at doing the same tonight, if he looks better than our existing squad then sign him up immediately.

I can''t believe that I wasted two minutes of my life to see a picture of Jamie Cureton doing an everyday thing. Wow he is in Mercy, like every other city player, wow he is sticking his fingers up at a cameraman, and drinking a drink that doesnt even look alcoholic. What next, are you going to rummage around in his bins looking for evidence that has eaten chocolate?  And camp out outside of his house in case he stays awake after 9pm? Take a bit of advice from me, get out of your sad sheltered lives, go to Mercy, have a drink or two and stick your fingers up at a bloke with a camera.
Says he who spends his whole life on this messageboard. Nice choice of language makes you look really big. Ban this clown.
Why dont you use your brain and look at our respective post counts before slapping your keyboard? I have a lot less posts per month than you.  Who is the one that spends their whole life on the messagboard? Truth hurts doesn''t it?
Yes i may have a higher post count per month but i visit the messageboard twice a day, whereas you obviously spend your whole day on here if not posting continously browsing, this is backed up by your swift reply to my message. Plus alot of your posts have come recently so i''m sure if we looked at amount of posts in last 4 months your''s would be alot higher than me.
Or maybe I simply run an online business, using a standard internet browser, that allows me to see when people have responded to a particularly thread? My swift reply to your message means that I spend my whole day on the pinkun forum? BigBob, as long as you dont ever become a judge or a policeman, then your wild assumptions and strange logical workings are fine.  If you only come on here twice a day BigBob, then I assume that as this is your second visit today, I will not see another post from you until tomorrow? Right thats fine then, I look forward to seeing your response to my message tomorrow. Quite how you manage to have a conversation I do not know.
Although of course, that is dependant on you working to a standard 24 hour clock. Your posts in the early hours of this morning mean that you have already been on three times on the 11th July, does that mean that you can only come on once tomorrow?

 16.
Even though I live in Melbourne, I can''t support Melbourne Victory as K***n M****t is their Assistant Manager and Captain. As a City fan, that''s one step too far... But this is from someone at work who goes to all the Victory games and also apparently went to school with him: "He is pretty good. Strengths is shot stopping - good reflexes side to side and down low. Weaknesses - not very good with the high ball, so be very worried when the opposition has a corner or set piece at a nice angle..."
Good god, sounds like Paul Gallacher!

 18.
A few people posted that it could be a swap. One of them seems to think it might be Spillane, which seems a bit odd to me. Seemed like most of the Preston fans would be delighted to get rid of him as well.
It doesn''t seem odd to me, Spillane is very highly thought of in football circles these days, and Gunn did a good job to hold onto him. Not many players play with the composure and consistancy of Spillane at 19 years old.  If I chose one player to keep out of Russell, Spillane and Pattison....... it would Spillane every single time.  The other two can go.
 19. I am going to be living in Leeds by this time, so really looking forward to this game. Especially as I already have bets on with a few Leeds supporting mates.
Yawn, can''t string a paragraph together without swearing. Hard man. What are you his rent boy? Jamie can do what he wants for all I care but he doesn''t need people like you sticking up for him, thinking they are above everyone else.  Maybe it''s you with the sheltered life if you get so wound up by a thread on a Norwich messageboard?? Don''t cry, what are you 20 something or 10?
F*ck you. People like the OP are everything that is wrong with this club. Persecuting our own players and fabricating stories. Since when have I tried to be a hard man, and since when does swearing make you a hard man? I know plenty of females and old men that swear. Yes it makes me very wound up, and I will stick up for who I want pal. Personally I think that Jamie Cureton is passed it and too old, but he was a family friend when he was here as a kid so I will indeed stick up for him when things get non football related. When people are on a messageboard lying about fellow human beings, I have every right to be angry.  I don''t know where this crap has come from about Cureton wanting more money, the reality is that if he is not in Gunn''s plans he would find another club and if he had to he would play for £500 a week, he loves his football. People can criticise Cureton all he wants, but when people start sharing facebook photos around the internet of somebody doing absolutely nothing, trying to turn it into something controversial, I am 100% certain of who is living a sheltered life.
 21.
Can''t see it, he''s a quality player, Welsh International and last year there was talk that he was set for bigger things, ie Premier League! May be wrong, but I don''t think there is anything in this one, would be great if he did come here though!!
There was once talk of Paul McVeigh joining Aston Villa for £3m! He is naturally a left winger that can do a shift on the right. I would expect his arrival would see the departure of Hoolohan, with McVeigh as back up.
 22.
Paul mcveigh should ONLY be given a game by game pay as you play contract or a rolling monthly deal... trust me.. its going to save a lot of embaressment for both parties.. if he is crap then we simply do not renew the contract at the end of the month and he moves on..... if it looks like he can do something longer term then the club can sort something with him.. but a month to month contract for the next 2 or 3 months should make things much clearer jas :)
I would just give him a deal until 1st Jan and then tell him to earn a contract to 31st June........ then to earn a deal to 1st Jan, and then to 31st June...... Half a season at a time..... if he turns out rubbish, we can release at no cost in January and he can look elsewhere. If he is decent then we make sure we keep hold of him until the end of the season...
 23.
or we could just not affiliate, and if we see a good player, just go get him like we did cody :)!
Exactly. We might be signing a Cambridge City player..... the way things are going we will be ''affiliated'' with every non league club in the South!
 24. He played pretty well, look fit enough and scored a typical McVeigh goal.  First touch was strong all game, didnt really show much pace, but I dont think that was the nature of the game so early one..... it was a pretty uncompetitive run out. The other trialists looked half decent as well, some kid called Powell particularly..... but again...... would like to see them at Dartford before judging. Worked hard enough and was very vocal to the kids (a plus point). I am still open minded, want to see him at Dartford..... where the standard is 5 times that of Fakenham..... Apparently there were a few scouts from other clubs at the ground tonight to check out McVeigh and one of the other trialists. If I had to make a decision right now, I would sign him if the deal is right. A one year contract on a wage that befits a SQUAD player..... and I think that he would be a good signing.
 25.

Why are they mugs? Because we haven''t bought anyone YET? Will you change your opinion if we buy a £1m striker then Smudger?
Yes, I am still waiting for the Rickie Lambert or Simeon Jackson signing. Will you admit that you are a gullible mug if they don''t materialise???  [:$]
Rickie Lambert is cr*p. His career goalscoring record is very very average (and in League One and Two), and all he has really done is score a a few goals for Bristol Rovers. I know a striker with a much better goalscoring then him (Jamie Cureton).  Add to the fact that his transfer fees have been 200k and 300k, and you would pay £1m, I personally think that £1m would be a complete rip off and that he would flop horribly.
