1. Cheers autocorrect... Clearly the title should be Pinkun
2. Didn''t really want to start a new thread on this, but found it really funny listening to the last podcast of the season. Michael Bailey kept saying ''Alec'' every single time when mentioning Alex Neil. You''d think as part of the pinkun team, he would know his name! Also, it really tickled me inside when Paddy Davitt said '' The key thing for me is that Alex Neil said he wants to stay, and he''ll have Balls around him...." Really cracked me up that he said that.
3. Dembele is featured in sky sports best 11 free transfers team. He won''t come here as Spurs are after him. He''ll go there, and then next season (barring a Dele Alli rise) he''ll be loaned back out. Ings is a pipe dream. I think we should try for Bamford on loan with a view to a permanent. He was utilized sparsely and poorly, whilst not up to speed this season with us and Palace but can cut it in the champ as he''s shown. We should go for Zac Clough too, the guy looks a wizard. I don''t think we should sell Redders, let him walk next summer as we won''t get anyone close to him whilst we are in the champ and we need him to help us get out to attract better. I''d take a tribunal set fee.
4.
He''s only worth what those ten clubs are willing to pay, he''s one player who''s not going to be here at the start of next season, he''s already rejected a new contract last year. It''ll be around the 10 million mark no doubt, I think it''ll be Southampton, a little birdy said last week that Southampton have been making enquiries since January.
I totally disagree with your opening statement. He''s worth MORE to US! I''d say anything less than 15m and we keep him, he could have a huge say in our promotion push and then we let it go to tribunal next summer if he wants to walk. We''d easily get 8-9m and a vital seasons work out of him.
5. A bit OT but didn''t want to start a thread; does anyone know why we are below newcastle in the table? Same goals for and against and same points. Is it alphabetized? I just genuinely don''t know. Every place is worth more money so finishing 18th should be our goal.
6. I''m genuinely shocked the amount of people on here that want Ruddy to go. He was woeful before being dropped, but then Declan also showed some signs of inexperience like villa''s second goal where Agbonlahor slid into an empty net. Ruddy came back stronger, and in the champ we''d need more than just Declan. Who could we get alongside Dec who''d be better? I think wait a season and if we''ve been promoted that''s the time. Mulumbu, Andreu, Whitts and Dorrans (unless Tettey leaves) should go. Redmond should stay as we''d get a tribunal fee (Burnley got 8m for Ings?) anyway and promotion is worth more than the additional 4m or so we''d hope to get if we sold him vs letting it go to tribunal. Just my 2 cents.
7.
OUT: Whittaker, Bassong, Mulumbu, Turner, Lafferty, Wisdom, Bamford, Andreu, Martin, Hoolahan, VanWolfswinkel, Redmond 10million plus POSSIBLE IN''S: Biram Diouf, Mohammed Diame, Tom Ince, Moussa Dembele, Kieran Tierney, Jordan Ibe (loan), Danny Ings, Tom Lees, Lewis Dunk, Gaston Ramirez, James Ward Prowse,
I hate to beat down on your suggestions but Ward Prowse is getting in Saints first team and scored the odd goal or two. Even a loan is unrealistic. Ings was scoring at pool before his injury, even if we were premier league we still wouldn''t be his first choice and that''s provided they don''t want him, which I''m sure they do.
8. We have to keep Hooly. He destroys teams in the chump. Why do people think we''ll be keeping Olsson. With the euros both him and Brady are the first I see leaving, even before the injured Klose.
9.
I swear it''s psychological, because I''m sure he would have buried half of his chances this year if he was in the Champ.
100% agree. A chance is a chance, some of the mistimed jumps for headers 6 yards out and guilt edge chances he''d have buried last season. I mean for gods sake the strikes against Bournemouth, Watford and Brentford from distance (outside the box) seemed the norm for him too. It wasn''t even good goalkeepers this season that stopped him. It was himself.
10. I really hope he stays. We are very lucky to have him at the helm. Not in it for the money or glory like big fat Sam and countless others. After that interview his stock has gone up to 100% with me! Bring on next season''
11. At least we finished the last home game with what looks like a win. We have bettered our points total from two seasons ago, and our top score now has 8 goals. Let''s face it if it was any other poor team except Sunderland we could be going into the last day with a chance. When you know you''re in a relegation battle with them, they are the experts.
12.
I''d hate to see McNally go, and for those that do, I''d be very careful what you wish for. Only 1 week to go and who knows what could''ve happened on the last day should we win midweek and Sunderland lose - quite feasible and the place has blown up already. I''m realistic, it''s looking very difficult for us but nevertheless I''m disappointed to see everyone down tools already - we needed togetherness from top to bottom for ONE more week.
Whilst you''re not wrong Alex, we''ve shown solidarity and support for the other 37 weeks and look where we are.
13.
Actually it would be good to see a montage of Bassongs errors which have lead to goals in a city shirt. It would be interesting if it''s as many as we believe.
I''m sure it is as many as we think and more if you add in the stupid sluggish fouls that have gifted penalties and then goals.
14. Unfortunately I think we all honestly know that''s it. Sunderland are mirroring their end of season form from 2 seasons ago.
15. We won''t keep Olsson. He''s been colossal in recent weeks and his crossing ability/pace is a thing of beauty.
16.
Played well and if we had hit those levels all season we would be ok now , still so weak up front nobody looks like scoring . Most likely we now need 9 from the last 3 to have a chance.
Nah not 9. 6 or 7 from the last 3.
17.
I disagree about it being the story of the season. Today we gave it a good go, plenty of times we haven''t.
Completely agree. Had we have done this against Bournemouth, Watford, Swansea, Villa, Sunderland, Southampton earlier in the season… The list goes on, we would''ve won more games.
18. Another game where we were the better team, but we didn''t have the quality in the final third. I feel the substitutes were also again too late. Looking forward to next season!
19. Hooly shakes his head as he goes off, and I have to agree. Without him there is no spark .
20. Apparently that''s arsenals first shit on target... Figures. Well let''s just enjoy what''s left of the season.
21. Not to bash, really, but I''m just interested what people think regarding Redmond. He''s had three or four chances, and whilst Cech has been good, he could be more clinical. Do people think we will lose him at the end of the season if we go down? I still don''t think he''s the finished article.
22. That''s the first incorrect official decision. Jerome was on side!
