1. We all want the same thing. A successful Norwich side which plays attractive football. We don''t all agree how that will come about. I believe that we have not had that for several years and I am not sure we are there yet or even on the way. What I do know is that all the fans on here should calm down slightly. Don''t stop the heated debate but try and keep it friendly. We are all Norwich City fans. We all want the same thing. As long as we all give our support at the games then there is nothing wrong with a good debate where different views a put forward. Boo at match and players and childish protests are not my scene and do nothing in my view to help the cause of those people who do it. Nor does aggression towards fellow poster and fellow Canaries. Saturday is another game let give Crystal palace hell not each other. OTBC Worthy OUT.
 2.

I want to pull off some Huckerby Crouch type loans , well done Nigel another remarkable piece of buisiness .
Of of course you want the moon on a stick too, anything other than a top class footballer signing for us and you will moan, maybe you should give him the benefit of the doubt for once, afterall his last unknown signing seems to be doing rather well doesn''t he? you always fail to mention things like that, until you start looking at the positive why should we tolerate your non stop complaining?
Perhaps he is just wants the club to deliver what they say they will. It was stated that he was after some Huckerby/Crouch type signing just like the club said we need 3 or 4 new player in the summer. Just like the club said that promotion is our aim. They talk the talk.
 3.

Without promotion this season or even worse without being in a strong position by January Earnshaw will leave.
You state this as fact, but I''m willing to bet money that you''ve never met him, let alone talked to him about his intentions.  Neither do you know if we will be competing by Xmas. Ok, let''s take a walk through the really scary nightmare scenario, tidal waves smash through Cromer cliffs, half of Norwich is submerged by the North Sea, Dunston Hall''s golf course floods, their carvery is a washout, and Robert Earnshaw leaves Norwich.  What happens if he does leave ?  Probably the same as when Ashton left, although Earnshaw isn''t the kind of player to give up playing for his team just because he''s likely to move. 1. For Earnshaw to leave for a Premiership team, we would sell him for close to double what we paid. 2. We would then use that money to strengthen the team, probably with 2 or 3 signings in his place. In todays'' game, no player, or manager ofr that matter, is irreplaceable.  But for you to use this veiled threat as a stick to beat the manager, it''s, er, how can I put this... a bit desperate, isn''t it ?
you state that I have never met of spoken to him then tell me that "although Earnshaw isn''t the kind of player to give up playing for his team just because he''s likely to move." You have had a good old sit down with the lad a discussed his future have you!
 4. Glib comments but none of you would bet against it. Perhaps you''ll justify it by turning on him like you did Leon. Then when he goes you can say good riddance who wants a disruptive player. There was a poster on here the other day and he was right. You''ve got the team you deserve.
 5. There is as I read all the threads one player that the KTFer''s rave about and rightly so and that is Earnshaw. He is a quality player. There is also much admission from these fans that we might not gain promotion this season or there is an acceptance that the best we could hope for is the lottery of the play off''s. As I showed on the Post "The Facts" we will need to play out of our skins at home to gain promotion if our away form does not improve dramatically from what it has been over the last 4 seasons. This brings me back to the point of my thread. Without promotion this season or even worse without being in a strong position by January Earnshaw will leave. He is scoring for fun and suitors will come knock and knocking very loudly at his door. This will lead inevitably to Norwich being unable to resist a high offer and we will lose our star striker. He will play in the premiership again whether that is with Norwich or somebody else is up to our performances this season. Worthington holds the future of our beloved star in his hands. Will he slip through his fingers like Ashton. I hope not but we must show the ambition that will encourage a player of his quality to stay. 3 all draws may entertain some of these “happy just to play” fans but will lead to frustration in strikers who are regularly scoring. 20+ a season from a player is in this league no guarantee of promotion. It is however a guaranteed to trigger a onslaught of offers from clubs wanting such a striker. I am of the opinion that there are 1000’s of managers out there capable of doing what Worthington is doing if not a lot better. I however think that players like Earnshaw are at a premium. Worthington out: for the good of the club and our future.
 6. AWAY RESULTS FOR LAST 4 SEASONS + THIS SEASON 2002/2003 Pl23 W5 D8 P23 Poss69 2003/2004 Pl23 W10 D7 P37 Poss69 2004/2005 Pl19 W0 D7 P7 Poss57 2005/2006 Pl23 W6 D4 P22 Poss69 2006/2007 P4 W0 D2 P2 Poss12 Totals Pl92 W21 D28 P91 Poss276 Sorry for the format had it in a nice little table but couldn''t get this this to accept it. Hope it come out alright. Roughly a point a game. Thoughts. To go up second you will need on average 89/90 point An average of 23 away points means we need 67 point. This means we can afford to draw 1 home game and have to win the rest. Ok i''ll admit that these are only statistics and all that but it don''t look good. THOUGHTS (if any) WORTHINGTON OUT
 7.

I tell you what, you get the team you deserve.  People on this site saying a point was a good result last night.  A point against Southend can never be a good result in my book let alone when you''re 3-1 up.  There is even someone on here saying that it was a good game being 3-3!  A good game if you''re neutral perhaps but you''re not are you? Why are people blaming the manager?  I don''t know may be it''s because the team is entirely of his making and that he consistently proves that he is tactically inept.  You see one half decent performance and that''s it you''re happy.  If you think that we''ve played well in general this season you''re deluded.  Why is it a huge number of Norwich fans are just happy to sit down and shut up no matter how poor a side we are.  Where''s the ambition?  Do you not care that we are not improving or making any progress?  There''s a loser mentality that pervades this club and it starts with the fans.
I suppose it depends on your viewpoint really. Would you rather watch an entertaining game that you aren''t guaranteed to win (Norwich), or boring, predictable football where you win 95% of the time (Chelsea)? Personally, I go to the football to be entertained. Even if the result goes against us, I am happy if the team puts in a good performance. Maybe that makes me a "loser", but of more concern to me is the fact that some of our fans seem to think we have the sudden divine right to win every single game. I suggest that attitude would be more suited to supporting the aformentioned club - as there is a difference between ambition, and baseless arrogance. Everyone wants to win, but to some fans, that is not the be all and end all. I think most people blame the manager because he is the figurehead of the club, and therefore (on a simplistic level) is responsible for everything bad that happens at the club. Others recognise that there are many, many other factors which are beyond his control. The thing that makes me laugh is that you call him tactically inept -- well, did you say that after our 2-0 win against Man. U in the Premiership? How about after our 5-1 win last week? What about when we won the Championship by 10+ points? And before anyone starts accusing me of living off past glories - I simply try and take into account his entire contribution to the club rather than just his mistakes to try and prove my point. I have no doubt he could have done a lot of things better, and has made bad decisions, but we have come a long way since he took over. I think the most telling thing is that peoples'' hateful attitutde to him indicates exactly what the club has achieved whilst he has been here. If we were still fighting for our survival at the bottom of the league, fans'' expectations, I''m sure, wouldn''t be so high. As it stands, anything and everything he does will not be good enough to some.
Don''t get too romantically carried away by our performances. We have scored a few goals yes but we have hardly been playing total football. A few goals from dreadful defensive mistakes and a few bundled in don''t match up to the 25 yard screamers that Lampard and his pals are regularly scoring against top opposition. The other thing is the point of support and running a football club is to improve and take your game to a different level. Wins however they come will do that 3 all draws against southend won''t. Finally people are taking account of the managers entire contribution that’s why so many have reminded us of the 6 wins in 47 away games. Worthington has been given his chance. He has failed. He lives on our promotion success. Success that may have come under any manager given the financial gamble the board took. Just 1 away win in that premiership season would have saved us from relegation. Had our tactics be different our mind set and game plan been more sound who''s to say we wouldn''t have won one, same with last night. We haven''t improved changed or adjusted anything and the results are the same. WORTHINGTON OUT.
 8.

What sort of football fan thinks throwing a 2 nil lead away is ok. I can’t understand this mind set.
No one, but say we''d gone 3-1 down and drawn back to 3 all? Would you still be crying like a baby? You''re prepared to accept boring football all season in hope we might get to the Premiership and continue to play presumably even more boring football?I can''t understand your mindset mate.
I say any draw with Southend is not expectable if you are a team with our fan base player base history ground and money. .
 9.

When will our night be? (away from home)
Would you accept that our passing and style of play has improved home and away this season? (Coventry match aside)Given that fact, I think the answer to your question is soon enough.Stop throwing your toys out of the pram - is your name Dean or Leon or something?
I also think some of the players hair cuts are nicer. Still no bloody away wins though.
 10.

Do you think they''re calling for Dave Jones'' head in Cardiff tonight?
Do I care
Not really about caring just about getting a more balanced perspective, but by the sounds of things you don''t want one! keep you blinkers on, that goes for all the whiners, what is wrong with you lot, I am cheesed off but have not thrown my toys out the pram and blamed the manager yet again, try blaming the players for once, tell me one reason not to do that?
Have Cardff only won 6 out of 46 away games. Doubt it. Perspective. Ha
 11.

Not good enough. We must change this. We must break free from this tactical ineptness. Again we can''t hang on. WORTHINGTON OUT. Why should he have the job. He doesn''t deserve it.
Oh dear, here we go again.I suppose you''d take a boring ground out 1-0 over todays game every time?Well I''m sorry but I wouldn''t - a point away from home is a decent result providing we keep winning at home and I''d rather see a game like that than a boring, drawn out defensive game trying to sneak a goal which could just as easily end up as a 0-0.We went for it, OK so tonight wasn''t our night, but given the lack of Hucks I''d have taken then result before the game.
What is this guy on. Everybody would have taken a ground out 1 nil win. Every player every board member and most of all the manager. 1 nil away from home shows professionalism. You might be a believer in the Kevin Keegan school of football but that only makes 2. You need to get a grip son. As for taking the result before the game, how many goals ahead do you want us to be before you wouldn’t take the result before the game. What sort of football fan thinks throwing a 2 nil lead away is ok. I can’t understand this mind set.
 12.
Do you think they''re calling for Dave Jones'' head in Cardiff tonight?
Do I care
 13. Change the Whole bloody Hierarchy. Delia Worthington the Whole bloody board. How can they let this keep happening.

 15.
Sorry but I had a feeling it was 2-1 to Norwich but of course a Norwich win is a bad thing according to some so called supporters
Don''t talk rubbish man a win is what we all want. If you think we a happy about the way we have palyed away over the last few seasons you wrong. I cheered as loud as any body I love my team.

Lighten up. OTBC
They are highly paid professionals not a bunch of nine year olds. Grow up. There is no excuses for not obtaining the required players in this transfer window. Last season was a sham and the club admitted its self that we need 3 or 4 new players. I expect the club to fulfil is own requirements. If your understanding of football tells you we will be fine the good for you. My tell me we are up to our necks in it.
I find it irritating to repeat myself HH44 but I must. What would you have done in the transfer market then??? wasted a load of money on players who would offer us nothing (other than more opportunities to whinge, groan and criticise - perhaps you would certainly do this therefore) or waste time trying to sign players with no interest in coming? Yes we are in difficulty but not in an impossibility. Calm down. There''s water in the engine room but in January the trickle will be repatched and only our ankles will be soaked - we are far from "up to our necks in it" most of the football league would tear your spoilt lament to pieces. Worthington and Norwich City pursued every avenue that they could and were excruiatingly unlucky. Keep it real ... don''t hit the panic button. Chill and get behind the team.
I''m always behind the team. There every week. I''m not behind the manager or board. What would I have done signed player to cover the position we are weak in. Just like every other bloody club did. How do you know we pursued every avenue. You don''t. thank god he didn''t explore the same avenue that brought us Hughes, Thorne, Robinson, Jarrett or Colin You know nothing but what you are feed by the club yet you talk with such authority. Hope you find that IRRITATING. Worthington OUT.
 17. A lot of people on here are saying a draw would be a good result. That would be 2 points out of a possible 12 away. I''d say that is totally unacceptable. 4 from 12 is poor. What has happened is you have become so conditioned to poor away performances that your making excuses for the team even before that clown Worthington does. Worthington out now he is inept. We should win it''s Southend for christ sake!

 19. Indeed it is a long season. You will find it a long way till christmas and that transfer window too. He should have acted in the last window. The axe is hanging by a thread
 20.

No we didn''t put a bid in. We did our usual trick of phoning them up and asking if they woudl sell him to us and when they said no we siad "oh, sorry to have bothered you then" and turned our attention elsewhere. perhaps if we''d put a hrd bid in though their attitude may have been different!
So you know exatly what was said in these phone calls then? Terrific - wish I did.
Well from what I have read thats what happened. We didn''t make them an offer we asked if he was for sale. Thing is everbody''s for sale it''s just down to how much you offer. We offered nothing.
 21. Injury was the fear of all City fans. Now it has arrived we will see if Worthington has the resources to keep us there or there abouts and in doing so keep his job. Which ever camp you are in the next few games are going to show what we have in the way of a chance of success this season and whether we as a club have been shrewd of just stupid. I have no doubt that we have sold ourselves short in the transfer market and I also doubt that the meagre reserves that we have at the club are good enough to keep up our encouraging start to the season. Huckerby will be hugely misses especially at home where he has been at his best this term, but other illness and injuries will trigger the return of players like Hughes who failed wholesale last season. I hope for one thing, success and to be proved wrong. I would be glad to be slagged off run down and ridiculed in a fortnights time when we have 6 points in the bag but I have nothing but concerns in my mind. Worthington will eventually be judged by his results it comes to all but the very greatest managers in the end and I sure that even the staunchest KTFer would not put him in that category. The Question is will it be as soon as the end of this month. Answer is bad transfer dealings combined with injury is now going to be the factors that tell. Loans could save the day but the quality we need will not be easy to obtain. Is it going to interesting, the answer has to be yes. Is it going to be enjoyable the answer has to be... Well truth is I don''t know. I doubt that we will have long to wait to find out though. OTBC
 22.

not essential rite now but we need 2 get our form back on track, 3-0 at cov cud be a blip or the start of a bad run
Why is it "Not essential" I would say it very essential if we are to mount any challenge on promotion. If we can''t get results at places like southend we stand little if no chance of getting the points we need. Always somebody offers an excuse. So if we play ok make some chance and lose 1 nil in the last min that will be ok.
no games at this stage of the season are essential theres plenty of time to make up points we loose. i think wer getting carried away with our form before the break, wer not going to be second all season. it wasnt long ago every1 on here seemed set on us not reaching the play offs. wev just lost one game, albeit quite heavily and yet to score an away goal but realisticly we wnt be winning 5-1 every week and wer going to be bad away from home all year as usual. i dnt think it is necessarily "essential" if we dnt win and just because southend wnt be up there at the end of the season we shud still accept it will be a tough game and theres no shame loosing on ur travels whoever it is - exept if its ipswich
Why bother even play away. Lets just stay at home in the warm.
