  1. the signing of this clown after a loan period where he quite clearly showed that he is not a good player in any shape or form, should have proved to the board, including you Delia, that throwing money in the general direction of Mr Worthington, is/was a good idea.
  2. thank you sussex canary for having the b*lls to say what a lot of people are thinking. Prepare to be shot down by the KTF and we love Delia and "all what she has done for this club"brigade. in my humble oppinion, worthless should have been sacked after yesterdays diatribe following yet again a "no show", in a game we had to win ( not that we deserve a play off place in any event).
  3. apolgies to you, two sheds...................i have had a bad day!! ( i agree, the time for the replies to appear does tend to disjoint the arguments!
  4. good and educated reply two sheds. The reference to "not wanting a medal" was sarcasm, something you clearly are not aware of. my mini bus and ticket were paid for, otherwise, i would not have made the effort, having seen enough dismal away performances over the last two seasons, for me to decide that i will not waste any more hard earned until we get a new manager and coaching staff etc. my points were based on my observations "admittedly through stella eyes", of the day and the game. Thanks for your well thought out reply.   as usual on yhis board, its only the oppinions of the likes of yourself, wizard, rankin and the like that count, anyone else is not entitled to one and are ridiculed for having a go. perhaps there should be a forum for you hard core guys only?
  5. i was there(no, i do not want a medal), and have thefollowing comments: 1.Leeds were a very average side. 2. we only played for 45 minutes. The first half was abysmal, with the usual stray passing and no cohesion. 3. Hughes and Charlton are not the answer to the midfield "crisis". 4. Without Mckenzie and Mcveighs continious running both on and off the ball, we have no threat going forward. 5. Why on earth did we not put men on either post forthe last minute free kick? 6. Elland Road is a dump! 7. Leeds support was atrocious. For a side with a realistic chance of going up automatically and a definite play off place. Those that did bother to turn up (the ground was only 2/3rds full at best), were so quiet and why did thousands leave before the end when Leeds were starting to press for an equaliser? 8. The city support was magnificent today, especially in the second half. Yet another sell out! 9. Was there any need for the hand full of worthy outers to start the worthy out chant after 5 minutes ( iwant him gone, but why ruin a good atmosphere, muppetts).
  6. Yes, let him stay at Southampton. Unles he has improved his positional sense and his lazy attitude, he would be another overpaid waste of space!
  7. Harry redknapp, you are having a laugh. Did you here the rubbish he spouted on the radio this afternoon, about what a big mistake it was for him to leave Portsmouth for Southampton etc. Appointing him would be a BIG mistake, trust me. Before  you ask, no, i have no idea who should repalce worthington (but in all honesty, given the alledged comments from Delia to the fans at Derby and previous statements by the spineless board, any talk of a replacement is a non starter anyway. 3-2-1...............yeh, ok, dont bother we DO NOT WANT TO HEAR IT ANYMORE AT HOME GAMES....GOT IT MR MICROPHONE MAN?
  8. you echo the thoughts of many fans Pete. i used to get miffed or words to that effect if we went one nil down, now i couldn''t give a fcuk..again sad but true. we will get  a result either against Crewe or Southampton.....guaranteed............if only to keep the clown in a job at xmas!
  9. Ashton homesick? Surely that would have been obvious, were it to be true, before he put pen to paper to accept a new improved contract? Does being homesick make you a player who misses some , for a striker supposedley worth £7million, clear cut chances, i think not. He does not look overley interested in my oppinion, yet another one of our so called "stars " eager to throw their toys out of the pram now that we are in a slump i.e. Hucks and Greeno. time for Worthless to rebuild and give him 12 more months is effectively what you are saying? Hmmm, interesting though, but isn''t that what he has been doing for the last 5 years, and we are now going backwards! IF we get say, £6million for Ashton and green (not likely i know), would you trust worthless to buy wisely, no, nor would i ( bearing in mind he would only probably have half of whatever we get to spend on replacements/loanees wages) forget this season? To late mate, most of us already have.
  10. i am old enough to remember watching the greatest footballer of all time playing for Man U and Northern Ireland . I will never forget the stick he got at Wembley in 1971 i think it was playing for N Ireland, but hr responded in the way that no footballer playing today could do, i.e. by running England ragged and scoring, if i remember correctly, the only goal. also recall watching him at Poorman Road ( Norwich were in the old second division at the time and i dont believe that Best ever graced the carrow road turf), where there must have been 10,000 picture posters of him on display, proudly held by Ipswich and Utd fans ( although i would guess that they were probably Best fans only). watching the old clips of him on TV over the weekend, reminded me of when football was played by men, and not by ponces as it is today( i could imagine Duncan Forbes saying "hello" to a forward who feigns injury as they do today!) However, was a minutes silence really necessary at every English ground? Surely it should have been reserved for Man Utd and Fulham and the other english sides he played for? Plus it was a no brainer that there would have been problems with Leeds/Liverpool fans, surely?
