  1. Phil Mulryne has been head and shoulders above everyone else.  His burger eating, fat retention and world class apathy has been outstanding.
  2. You can get a link direct to Radio Norfolk here: http://www.bbc.co.uk/norfolk/ and click on Listen Live.
  3. Or we could start a chant until the end of the season, to the tune of the song, "Please Don''t Go" (can''t remember who it is by). Please Don''t Go, Deano, Don''t Go Away, Please Don''t Go, Deano, I''m beggin'' you to stay
  4. I think you''re being a bit harsh on Deano.  If Bentley had smashed that cross into the top corner, we would all be saying what great vision Ashton had. Big Dean is playing out of his skin and has really settled into the Premiership.  What we don''t want is him playing too well in the remaining games and Middlesborough or someone coming in and snatching him in the summer.
  5. I watched a film on Sky Movies last night (couldn''t be bothered with the Newcastle match).  It was a film entitled Matchstick Men, a fairly enjoyable con-man romp starring Nicholas Cage. It wasn''t until I looked on Internet Movie Database that I realised it was infact a biopic of the great Norfolk radio talisman Roy Waller! http://www.imdb.com/title/tt0325805/
  6. What the headline should have said is: WORTHINGTON NAMES UNCHANGED SIDE FROM LAST SEASON!!! Looking out onto the Highbury turf yesterday, I witnessed a team with only 2 changes from our Division 1 championship team.  Firstly an old player who is past it has replaced McVeigh/Henderson, and a young player with bags of potential but has only played Championship football so far instead of Svensson.  This, frankly, is a pathetic situation to be going to Highbury in.  The defense is arguably weaker!  Shackell has been impressive, but surely Mackay''s experience would have counted for something. This is an appalling state of affairs, and it can only be attributed to a obvious lack of quality signings. Gallagher/Ward - Worthy thinks are not good enough (granted, they were signed as back up) Docherty - Worthy thinks not good enough Charlton - Worthy thinks not good enough Helveg - Worthy thinks is not good enough Safri - Worthy thinks is not good enough Jonson - Worthy thinks is not good enough Sorry Nigel, but WHY DID YOU SIGN THEM THEN!?  A disgraceful waste of money.  When I look at it this way it makes me very angry and even consider going back to the poll post and changing my vote to "OUT".
  7. Not sure if it is really up to Worthy.  Obviously he would want to keep him, but if Big Dean wants out, and a club put a decent bid in, then there''s not a lot they can do (eg his exit from Crewe). Additionally, there may be a clause in his contract regarding relegation.  I''m not saying it is a release clause, it could be a minimum fee clause, in which, after relegation, if a club comes in with a certain bid, City have to accept it.  This type of clause would have protected both City''s and Deano''s interests at contract signing time, ensuring that Dean can get out if he wants, but City are guarenteed a decent pay day.
  8. What do people think about us retaining Deano for next season? (assuming we are in the championship, which we will be)  After his eyecatching performances for the U21s, and his quietly efficient performances in a City shirt, can we prevent a dull, pointless, midtable Premiership team (Birmingham, Man City etc) from getting their grubby hands on him? I would really like to think so.  He has proven already this season that he is unstoppable at Championship level, but I think that it might be optimistic to think that we can keep hold of him. Thoughts?
  9. The percentage of Phil Mulryne''s daily food intake that is pies?
  10. Canary Boy, 2500 people haven''t viewed the post - it has been viewed that many times.
  11. Why has Fleming got a guaranteed first team place?  Does he possess photos of you that you don’t want anyone to see?Why do you not practice defending in training?
  12. The starting line up against Bolton only had 2 new players from our Division One side last season - Dean Ashton (A Division One player until Januray) and Graham Stuart (hardly the most effective player we''ve signed). It''s all well and good Worthington saying the players were ''magnificent'', that''s the sort of thing a lower league manager says about a team who has bravely lost against a Premiership team.  And that''s what we still are - a Division One (CC Championship, whatever) team. It can be attributed to bad luck with injuries, but to be fair, the signings have, for the most part, been poor.  It is simply a lack of quality that has lead to our, to be honest, embarrasing Premiership campaign. Does the buck stop with Nigel, or with the players?  Are we asking too much of players that are simply not good enough?
  13. No way Leon should be anywhere near this.  He has put effort in but has looked out of his depth.  As someone said on this board once: 110% effort, 20% effect. What about Francis!?  Granted, he does tend to slip into complacency at times, but he has been a class apart.  Without him, our season would be a joke.
  14. For the reserves!  He does know where the goal is!  Come on Jonno, now do it for real...
  15. He''s played right back perhaps 3 or 4 times and has been poor for 3 of them.  He''s gone in the summer no matter what happens.
  16. Oh right! I thought that it was our badly organised defence, our lack of decisive finishing, and our inability to kill games off that was the reason why we are second from bottom. But all along it was because our pitch was too good...
  17. How would Delia like it if she was in the process of filming the baking of some important scones, and doing really well, but then all of a sudden dropping them on the floor, and then one of us came in and said: ”To the best cook in the world.  You need to make these scones better!  Where are they!?  Where are they!?  Let’s be having them!”   She wouldn’t like it at all would she?
  18. Just read this on a website that Celtic are interested in Mullers.  Please be true.
  19. City have 2 matches in March, which means that between Blackburn (a) and Arsenal (a) they will have 3 games in 7 weeks!
  20. Are you suggesting:                     Green       Fleming      Doc      Charlton Helveg                                 Brennan               Francis     Holt                   Huckerby             Ashton        Leon   That might just crazy enough to work!
  21. Food for thought, but this may look very different after we''ve played away at Palace and Saints.
